The Sweetest Poison: Innocence with Deadly Consequences Chapter 6

Chapter 6 The Timid Home Tutor of the Profligate Evil Young Master

Pei Yao looked at Luo Yan in the photo, the more he looked, the more satisfied he became. Then he looked at himself, always feeling that his mischievous smile had a hint of silliness.

After commenting on the photo, Pei Yao’s paw couldn’t help but want to browse through other photos in Luo Yan’s album. He muttered to himself, “Should I look or not? Humph, anyway, he’s a big bad guy.”

He squeezed Luo Yan’s cheek and went through her album with a clear conscience.

To Pei Yao’s surprise, Luo Yan’s album was practically empty. Boys and girls this age, besides recording daily life photos and group photos with friends, might also store secrets on their phones, or at least have some screenshots of games and favorite stars.

However, Luo Yan’s album, except for the photo Pei Yao had just taken, didn’t have a single photo with anyone else, let alone any pictures of games or idols. There were only a few screenshots of homework, various check-ins for reading activities and class participation.

Pei Yao frowned, feeling something wasn’t quite right. He decided to browse through the phone’s local files and finally found a deep folder containing quite a few photos. But as Pei Yao looked at them one by one, his already furrowed brow became even more puzzled.

These photos displayed Luo Yan’s growth trajectory, or more precisely, a collection of all her photos from childhood to adulthood.

Each photo had a carefully chosen title and date, and they all had one thing in common: there was always a woman beside Luo Yan, with a gentle face, either standing beside her or standing a little further away, watching Luo Yan gently.

It was obviously Luo Yan’s mother.

Pei Yao found it strange that Luo Yan’s father didn’t appear much in these photos. Even when he appeared in group photos, he had a stiff smile, looking impatient.

Pei Yao kept this in mind. He would definitely find someone to investigate this old geezer later.

Pei Yao looked at Luo Yan one by one, from a little dumpling to a big dumpling, watching her as a small child getting wet by the waves and laughing happily by the sea, watching her staring at the dinosaur exhibit in the museum while biting her finger, watching her sitting on a carousel holding a fairy wand and waving her arms…

Unconsciously, Pei Yao also pursed his lips, his eyes revealing a tenderness and smile that he hadn’t realized himself.

However, the dates on the titles of these photos only went up to Luo Yan’s teenage years. After that, there was nothing, as if she had never taken any photos again. Up to this day, Luo Yan really hadn’t taken or saved any photos of herself, just as the phone’s built-in album showed, it was empty.

The missing secret in the phone’s deep album was like an invisible hand pulling at Pei Yao’s heart. He seemed to see the source of Luo Yan’s hidden weakness, melancholy, and loneliness.

Pei Yao couldn’t help but lean down and kiss Luo Yan.

“Baby.” Pei Yao called her softly.

“Hmm.” Luo Yan’s ears twitched and she made a few murmurs, as if responding to Pei Yao’s whisper.

Pei Yao felt a tingling sensation in his heart, as if countless ants were crawling all over it. He created a new folder and dragged the photo of him and Luo Yan into it.

At least in the time after meeting Pei Yao, Luo Yan’s album couldn’t be blank.

That night, Pei Yao didn’t know what was going on. He couldn’t sleep and ended up playing games on his phone until the middle of the night.

Every time he killed someone in the game, he would get excited, making Luo Yan uncomfortable even in her sleep.

The next morning, Luo Yan woke up before Pei Yao.

Luo Yan felt like she had been beaten up, her eyelids felt heavy, her eyelashes stuck together. She rubbed her eyes and found that they were swollen like walnuts.

Remembering what had happened, Luo Yan’s eyes, already swollen like walnuts, couldn’t help but start to tear up.

“Ah, damn Pei Yao, damn bastard.” Luo Yan punched Pei Yao’s abs, which were almost hurting her, and then—

“Ah… what is it?”

“Pervert…” Luo Yan’s golden teardrops rolled down her cheeks.

Pei Yao, how could he… how could he… this bad guy…

Awakened by Luo Yan’s agitation, Pei Yao opened his bloodshot eyes. Yawning, he patted the person in his arms lightly, “Baby, don’t be naughty.”

Luo Yan refused, stamping on Pei Yao’s leg with all her might.

She pounded on Pei Yao’s chest, “You better get me…”

“Disobey and I’ll continue.”

Luo Yan instantly became much more obedient.

Pei Yao then pressed her fluffy head against his pecs, continuing to tease her, “Is your man’s chest big or small, fragrant or not?”

Luo Yan’s face rubbed against those two large pecs, her face turning red, whether from anger or from the so-called “manly scent” of Pei Yao.

Luo Yan lay quietly for a while, not knowing what she was thinking, and started to rub around again.

Pei Yao pinched her butt, and Luo Yan even whimpered with tears in her eyes.

“What’s wrong again, baby?” Pei Yao smoothed the fluffy hair on her head.

“Wuu…” Luo Yan seemed to be very ashamed, biting Pei Yao’s shoulder with her teeth—

“Wow, trying to murder your husband…”

“Pei Yao,” Luo Yan’s eyes welled up, her thick eyelashes damp, “I want to go to the bathroom.”

She was as pitiful as she could be.

“Husband will carry you.” Pei Yao weighed the baby in his arms, twisted his neck, arched his back, and sat up from the bed, holding Luo Yan.

“Pei Yao!” Luo Yan exclaimed, “Put me down, I’ll go by myself.”

“How can that be, humph.” Pei Yao chuckled, ignoring Luo Yan’s protests.

“Pei Yao…”

“Can you walk slower…”

“Okay, Little Tutor.”

“Or, faster…”
