“The Top Student Prodigy Travels to the 1970s with a Magical Space” Chapter 41

Chapter 41: The First Meal in the Small Western-Style House

Mi Xia brought all the dishes to the table, took out a bottle of orange juice from her space, poured three glasses, and then placed the bottle next to her chair.

The little girl was a little foodie, and she was happy when she had something to eat. Mi Xia gave the little girl a chopstick of food, and Mo Haoyue gave Mi Xia a chopstick of food.

The family ate happily. After the meal, Mo Haoyue put the little girl to sleep, while Mi Xia went to her space to prepare some supplies to be put in the courtyard.

After taking a shower, Mo Haoyue returned to the room. After Mi Xia brought him into the space, she took out several books for him to read.

Mo Haoyue had also become very fond of reading, possibly influenced by Mi Xia. After she was admitted to Jingqing University, she never gave up reading.

The ginseng in the space had grown to 600 years old. Mi Xia was very happy; she had never seen ginseng of such a high age before. She continued to cultivate it, aiming to grow a true thousand-year-old ginseng.

Some of the smaller ginseng plants had also grown plump and full. In addition, there was a lot more grain in the warehouse in the space. After sorting out a portion, there was still a lot left.

They should sell quickly once Zhang Xiaoyu opens the market.

The next day, after Mi Xia got up, she took some breakfast from the space. She took out a portion of preserved egg and lean meat porridge and began to eat.

After finishing, she went directly to the warehouse and took out all the supplies she had sorted the previous day, then went to find Zhang Xiaoyu.

“The supplies have been put there. Go take a look first. You set the price yourself. You’re in full charge of everything, but you must keep the daily accounts clearly,” Mi Xia instructed.

Zhang Xiaoyu nodded solemnly.

“Okay, go ahead. I’ll go home first.”

“Okay, don’t worry, I won’t let you down.”

Mi Xia patted Zhang Xiaoyu on the shoulder and said, “I believe in you.”

After Mi Xia returned to the small western-style house, both father and son had finished breakfast.

Mi Xia: “Haoyue, let’s find a daycare for Xia Xia.”

Mo Haoyue thought for a moment. Their daughter was over four years old, and both he and his wife were going to school; there was no one to entrust her to. They really should find a daycare.

“Okay, talk to our daughter about it.”

Mi Xia: “Xia Xia, come here, Mommy has something to discuss with you.”

Mo Zhixia ran over: “Mommy, what’s wrong?”

Mi Xia looked at the little girl. In the blink of an eye, she had been here for three years, and the little girl had grown up. Time really flies.

“Xia Xia, Mommy and Daddy are going to find a daycare for you. There are many children your age there, and you can play together.”

Mo Zhixia turned her head and thought for a while, “Can Brother Xiaobao go with me?”

Mi Xia readily agreed, “Then let’s go find Brother Xiaobao and go to the daycare to register, okay?”

The little girl happily held Mi Xia’s hand and waved to Mo Haoyue, “Daddy, let’s go.”

Mi Xia secretly smiled. As soon as they arrived at the courtyard, the little girl shouted into the door, “Brother Xiaobao, are you home?”

Liu Zhaodi opened the door: “Zhixia is here. Little Bao is home. He was just talking about wanting to play with you.”

“Hello, Auntie.” Mo Zhixia said and then hopped into the courtyard.

Mo Zhixia: “Brother Xiaobao, come out quickly.”

Zhang Xiaobao: “Sister, I’m here.”

“Mommy said she’s going to find a daycare for me. Can you go with me?” Mo Zhixia asked with her big, grape-like eyes.

“What’s a daycare?” Zhang Xiaobao asked curiously.

“Mommy said there are many children there, and we can play with them.”

“Okay, I’ll go with you.”

Zhang Xiaobao was also happy. When he was in the county, he had many playmates, but since he came here, he had no playmates except Mo Zhixia.

Thus, the group set off towards the affiliated kindergarten of Jingqing University.

The two children were playing and making noise along the way, very happy, and soon arrived at the kindergarten gate.

As soon as they entered, a woman stared at Mo Haoyue. Mi Xia walked over and asked, “Excuse me, where do we go to register the children for school?”

When Mi Xia asked her, she didn’t react. Mo Haoyue turned around and stood behind Mi Xia, and she blushed shyly, “Follow me, I’ll take you there.”

Sure enough, this man shouldn’t be brought out. As soon as he came out, he attracted bees and butterflies. Someone was already staring at him. Mi Xia glared fiercely at Mo Haoyue.

“Hello, are you here to register your child? I’m the person in charge here, my surname is Liu. You can ask me if you have any questions,” Ms. Liu said.

Mi Xia: “Hello, my name is Mi Xia. I’m here to register for two children. Let’s see what’s needed.”

“The tuition fee for one semester is…, the kindergarten’s hours are 8:30 am to 11:00 am, and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.” Ms. Liu introduced.

“Okay, we’ll register both children.” Mo Haoyue said and handed over the money.

Ms. Liu: “Here’s the receipt. Just bring this when you come.”

After the group went out, Mi Xia said to Liu Zhaodi, “Later, you bring Zhang Xiaoyu to my house for dinner.”

Liu Zhaodi nodded and took Zhang Xiaobao back.

After returning home, she let Mo Haoyue take Mo Zhixia to play, and she began to prepare lunch. The ingredients, naturally, came from her space.

Braised pork, this dish was always included; steamed fish, sauerkraut fish, cold pig lungs, cold pig head meat, stir-fried pig large intestine, Beijing-style sweet and sour pork, braised pig trotters, and roast duck from the space.

As soon as Zhang Xiaoyu’s family entered the door, they smelled the fragrance, making him drool.

“Is Xia Xia cooking?”

Mo Haoyue looked at Zhang Xiaoyu, scaring Zhang Xiaoyu so much that he didn’t dare to move.

Zhang Xiaoyu nervously thought, “It’s over, I got carried away, I forgot this guy is here, what should I do? Killing me is unlikely, but he’ll beat me up.”

Mo Haoyue watched Zhang Xiaoyu’s reaction and the corners of his mouth slightly curled up.

“It’s my wife cooking. You’re in for a treat today. My wife’s cooking is better than the state-run restaurant’s,” Mo Haoyue boasted proudly.

“Haoyue, come help me serve the dishes,” Mi Xia called from the kitchen.

“I’ll go.” Liu Zhaodi said as she walked towards the kitchen.

In a short while, the two of them had set out all the dishes. Mo Haoyue took out a bottle of wine that Mi Xia had stored.

He poured a glass for Zhang Xiaoyu and one for himself.

“Come, let’s eat and drink.” Mo Haoyue said as he raised his glass.

Mo Haoyue watched Zhang Xiaoyu finish, and poured him another glass. Zhang Xiaoyu’s body trembled.

“I’ll eat some food first. Drinking on an empty stomach isn’t comfortable,” Zhang Xiaoyu said timidly.

Mo Haoyue watched him eat a few mouthfuls of food, then raised his glass again, “Come, drink again. Brothers eating together can’t not drink.”

Zhang Xiaoyu looked at his wife. He dared not call Mi Xia now, nor did he dare to look at her. This man was really scary.

After looking at his wife, he raised his glass and drank it down. Mo Haoyue naturally filled it up again.

Zhang Xiaoyu ate a few mouthfuls of food, and Mo Haoyue would toast him, drink, and then refill his glass. In a short while, Zhang Xiaoyu was drunk and slumped on the table…

Who knew, Zhang Xiaoyu hadn’t even eaten much. After dinner, Mo Haoyue sent him back to the courtyard and went straight to bed.
