Chapter 5 Divine Power

“Darling, Mother has finished eating. Come, let’s switch you out…” Old Mrs. Shen smiled as she pushed open the door. Seeing Wei Shi lying on the ground, she was startled: “Darling, what’s wrong with you?”

She ran over to help her up and touched her head. She found that Wei Shi had a bloody wound on the back of her head. Then she noticed a bloodstained stone nearby. Her eyes darted around and she realized that Shen Nian was no longer in the bed.

“Where’s my granddaughter? Nian Nian?” Old Mrs. Shen immediately realized something was wrong and shouted outside: “Something’s wrong! Come quickly! Darling is hurt! My granddaughter is missing!”

Shen Dong quickly rushed in with a group of people. Seeing the situation in the room, their faces turned pale. He immediately picked up Wei Shi and checked her breath. Seeing that she was breathing normally, he breathed a sigh of relief and quickly asked someone to call a doctor.

The Shen family was in chaos. The villagers had no time to eat the feast and all helped to search for the missing child.

Just then, two people ran into the Shen family, their faces full of anxiety.

“Sir and Madam, have you seen my mother? She ran out of the house while we weren’t paying attention. We’ve searched everywhere but can’t find her.”

The villagers recognized the two people. They were Cao Wen and Cao Wang Shi, from the Cao family.
