{The villainess’s plot 2}
A few days later, Yu Suye received an invitation from Bian Yuan.
So, today, Yu Suye arrived as scheduled.
Yu Suye lay on the luxurious and warm sofa, one hand covering her forehead, feeling heartbroken for this man’s lack of aesthetic sense. Clearly having so much money, yet so insensitive to colors. How could he buy a white sofa? It should have been a more restrained and profound brown tone.
Yu Suye kept waiting for Bian Yuan but it was his butler who came to greet her.
She immediately bounced up from the sinking sofa.
She was afraid of being too presumptuous in someone else’s home.
“Hello, hello.”
She took the initiative and extended her hand.
The butler, an old man, was not good at talking, and did not express his appreciation for her courtesy. Instead, his gaze swept past Yu Suye and landed on the fruit plate. He casually adjusted the direction of the fruit plate so that it was facing Yu Suye, the guest, and then personally adjusted the sofa cushion that Yu Suye had touched, indicating her to sit properly on the sofa again.
“Miss Yu?”
“Yes, it’s me.”
“What is your purpose for coming?”
The butler’s face was serious, resembling Yu Suye’s high school headmaster.
“Didn’t I already discuss this with Mr. Bian? Aren’t we both striving for each other’s love…” Realizing that this might cause misunderstanding, Yu Suye immediately retracted her words.
Yu Suye hastily tidied her messy hair and straightened her back. “What I mean is, I want to prepare a birthday party for my classmate Lin Wushen, and Miss Xu will also be there. I’m afraid Miss Xu won’t have anyone to take care of her, so I hope that Mr. Bian will be able to be there to help out.”
“Oh, Miss Yu, you really know how to arrange things.”
Yu Suye was puzzled. She thought, wasn’t it also willingly done by your young master?
Speaking of which, being able to “take care” of his beloved woman, wouldn’t that make Mr. Bian ecstatic?
In fact, Yu Suye had already planned it out earlier. If she could get close to Lin Wushen when the candles went out, wouldn’t Xu Wanwan be extremely disappointed and leave on the spot, giving Mr. Bian a big opportunity to get close to her?
When she will approach Lin Wushen in front of everyone, won’t that be Xu Wanwan’s most vulnerable and helpless moment?
Yu Suye sighed at how much effort she had put into Mr. Bian’s “pursuit of his wife”.
But faced with the butler’s smirk, Yu Suye’s smile froze, and the usually talkative her became speechless.
After all, Mr. Bian was so high up there. Although he was one of the top billionaires in China, his aviation, new energy, and many other technological businesses were still in their early development stage.
Yu Suye thought about the cost of Bian Yuan’s time.
He probably didn’t think this scheme was necessary at all. Getting a woman was probably a piece of cake for him. Why would he need her initiative?
Moreover, there was her selfish desire for Lin Wushen mixed in all of this.
The unfeeling butler finally spoke again.
“I will convey your message.”
Just when things seemed hopeless, they took a turn for the worse again, causing Yu Suye to become a bit out of sorts.
She bowed deeply, making a 180-degree turn. “Thank you, Uncle Butler.”
But the butler just spat out a clear “hmph” in his nasal cavity.
Yu Suye had never imagined that she would be treated like this the first time she visited someone’s home. To say she wasn’t disappointed would be a lie. Although Yu Suye’s family had fallen on hard times, her father still owned a few factories in Beichuan.
How come she lost her status as soon as she came to Beijing?
But when she thought about the arrogant big businessmen who were usually high and mighty in Beichuan, but didn’t even have the chance to nod and bow to Bian Yuan, she felt much calmer.
The butler even arranged for a nanny car to take her back.
She suddenly felt like she could brag about her visit home for a long time. However, a new question came up.
Was Xu Wanwan crazy?
Why would she reject the emerging tycoons in China and instead set her sights on her poor senior schoolmate? Was there something wrong with her? Could that illness be cured?
Before getting into the car, Yu Suye glanced back at the massive castle. If she were living there alone, she might worry about having nightmares at night. But her fantasy was quickly shattered.
Just before leaving, she accidentally knocked over the fruit plate the butler had brought out.
The fruit plate split in two, and the plumpest pomegranate on top rolled down to Yu Suye’s feet.
Yu Suye felt like she was at the scene of a crime.
She hesitated for a moment, feeling like she was trying to take advantage. After a fierce internal struggle, she placed the pomegranate back in its place.
And she stood there dumbfounded, holding the base of the expensive gilded fruit plate.
The fruit plate was forcefully split in half.
Just like a once happy and complete couple would be torn apart by her and Bian Yuan, the villains.
Yu Suye snapped out of her shock and nervously asked the butler, whose complexion wasn’t great to begin with, “H-how much?”
Having the courage to take responsibility is a good quality in every adult—although it can be costly.
When Yu Suye said, “I’ll pay,” she felt her breath weaken.
The butler seemed to look straight at the most irresponsible woman in the world and waved his hand dismissively. “Forget it.”
Yu Suye finally breathed a sigh of relief. She glanced back longingly at the pomegranate that seemed fated to her, then quickly climbed into the car, afraid that if she waited any longer, they might demand compensation at any moment.
Before she left, she even forgot to sneakily take a photo of the castle so she could show it off to her parents on WeChat.
She sighed with regret.
Meanwhile, deep inside the castle, the little girl sighed too. She poked Bian Yuan’s arm forcefully, but the aloof man had already dodged away in anticipation. He listened to his daughter’s complaint, “Daddy, Mommy clearly came, so why can’t I see her?”
The little girl held her face, her innocent expression full of grievance.
