The Villain’s Family Favorite Little Sweetheart Chapter 198: Girls Hate This the Most

“If you scare anyone again, I’ll beat you up,” Chu Qi warned, exuding confidence.

She pulled out a tissue from her backpack and handed it to Yuanyuan, but seeing her tear-streaked face, she decided to wipe her tears herself.

Just moments ago, Yuanyuan had stretched her arms out for a comforting hug, giving Teacher Su hope of swooping in with her motherly embrace. However, seeing Chu Qi take care of everything, Su felt a little disappointed.

“Gu Beiyan, don’t scare your classmates with bugs,” Teacher Su said sternly.

The boy named Gu Beiyan let out a yelp, shaking the cricket out of his hat. Only then did he take notice of the teary-eyed new girl.

Huh? A new kid!

After leading poor Yuanyuan to her seat, Teacher Su announced to the class that they had a new friend joining them. She then asked Yuanyuan to introduce herself.

“Teacher Su, what do I need to say?” Yuanyuan asked, looking lost as she stood at the front.

Her soft, adorable presence, combined with her doll-like features, instantly captivated the class. Every child in the room sat still, their eyes glued to the fragile, wide-eyed girl. She was the perfect combination of vulnerable and cute—hard not to adore.

Gu Beiyan leaned across his desk, staring in a daze. He turned to Chu Qi, tugging at her sleeve. “Is she new? Are you two close? What’s her name? How old is she?”

Chu Qi rolled her eyes, shaking off his hand. With a cold laugh, she replied sarcastically, “Oh, what now? See someone cute, and you want to be friends? How convenient. Have you forgotten who put a bug in her hair? I bet she hates you now.”

Boom!

The weight of what he’d done hit Gu Beiyan like a ton of bricks. He slumped in his chair, devastated.

It was over. All of it. What a disastrous first impression!

“This is all your fault!” Gu Beiyan snapped. “I was showing the bug to you!”

“Sure, blame me,” Chu Qi sneered. “Girls hate that kind of thing the most.”

Gu Beiyan’s eyes widened in horror. “What?!”

Up front, Yuanyuan nervously began her introduction. “Hi everyone, my name is Yuanyuan. I’m… um, two hundred—no, I mean, I’m three and a half years old. I know I came a bit late, but… I hope I can make lots and lots of new friends here!”

As she finished, Yuanyuan glanced over at Chu Qi, her eyes lighting up with a warm, cheerful smile.

Gu Beiyan, meanwhile, felt utterly crushed.

Yuanyuan’s gaze had barely grazed him before passing by, completely ignoring him. It was as if… as if he didn’t exist!

He was the class heartthrob, the pride of the kindergarten!

After finishing her introduction, Yuanyuan returned to the only empty seat left and sat down, hugging her backpack in her arms. She stared blankly at her desk, lost in thought.

Teacher Su chuckled, “Yuanyuan, you can put your backpack in the drawer below the desk.”

“Okay!” Yuanyuan gently tried to slide the backpack into the drawer, but after a couple of attempts, it got stuck and wouldn’t fit.

Seeing his chance to shine, Gu Beiyan stepped up gallantly. He strode over and, with a bit too much force, pushed the backpack in—causing a thread to pull and unravel from the new bag.

“Gu Beiyan, get out of here!” Chu Qi snapped, yanking him aside. “Can you stop bullying Yuanyuan for once?”

“I wasn’t! I didn’t! Don’t lie!” Gu Beiyan protested, but it was too late. He noticed Yuanyuan’s big, beautiful eyes beginning to well up with tears—she was on the verge of crying.

Yuanyuan’s first morning in kindergarten was already turning into chaos.

Staring sadly at her slightly damaged backpack, Yuanyuan had no idea that Gu Beiyan and Chu Qi were the main characters of the original story.
