“Yuanyuan, what… are you doing?” Yu Mingxi stood frozen.
The scene in front of him seemed straightforward, but seeing the heap of white foam made him question if he truly understood what was happening.
“Wahhh! Brother, I can’t spit out all the bubbles!” Little Yuanyuan had a tearful expression as she took another gulp of water and spat it out. “I’ve already drunk so much water!”
Yu Mingxi stepped closer and quickly solved the mystery.
The toothbrush still had traces of toothpaste at the end, and looking at all the foam… it was obvious—his little sister had squeezed out way too much toothpaste.
The sight was both funny and adorable, but instead of laughing, Yu Mingxi calmly fetched more water for her to rinse, and then rinsed her toothbrush with clean water.
After using up two more cups of water, Yuanyuan’s little mouth was finally free of bubbles.
But now, her hands and clothes were covered in foam…
It seemed like it was going to be a battle with bubbles this morning.
“Yuanyuan, there are still bubbles on your face. Let’s wash it off,” Yu Mingxi said, reaching for a towel to help her.
The little one quickly ran over, hopping onto a stool and eagerly reaching into the water. Her short arms flailed as she tried to grab the towel.
“I can wash my face by myself! Yuanyuan will do it!” she declared.
Wearing her soft, fuzzy pajamas, Yuanyuan looked just like a little fluffy kitten, her chubby arms not quite long enough, standing on her tiptoes to reach the towel.
After a struggle, she finally managed to fish out the towel that had been soaking in the sink.
Yu Mingxi didn’t interfere. If a child wants to do something within their abilities, it’s good to let them try—it fosters independence.
But seriously… how can she be so cute?!
On the outside, Yu Mingxi remained calm, but inside, he was screaming with excitement.
Yuanyuan, in her current state, looked exactly like a little kitten, standing tall, trying to catch a fish… or in this case, a towel, with her tiny paws.
Her slow but determined movements were accompanied by occasional huffing sounds of effort.
A hardworking little kitten is just the cutest thing ever!
No one could escape this cuteness overload!
Yu Mingxi’s eyes curved into a smile, and he felt a strong urge to run back to his room and grab his phone to capture this moment.
And that’s exactly what he did.
Children need their growth recorded, after all.
Grabbing his phone, he switched to recording mode before even re-entering the bathroom, ready to capture the adorable scene.
“Drip, drip, drip…”
From the doorway, he heard a steady dripping sound.
Hmm?
Is Yuanyuan using the toilet?
Yu Mingxi lowered his phone, ready to knock.
But upon listening carefully, he realized the sound was coming from the sink!
He lifted the camera again and pushed open the slightly ajar door, and what he saw blew his mind.
“Brother… Yuanyuan might have… failed!” The little one looked up at him with teary eyes. Her pajamas were soaked in the front, and her tiny, fuzzy arm was struggling to hold a dripping towel.
For a moment, Yu Mingxi couldn’t help but think she looked like a drenched, pitiful kitten.
Despite the mess… wasn’t she just the cutest!?
Yu Mingxi set his phone down nearby to continue recording, laughing as he stepped forward to help.
For Yuanyuan, wringing out the towel into the sink was proving to be quite the challenge.
After all, the sink was at a height that wasn’t very friendly to her tiny frame.
“Didn’t Auntie say yesterday that you should call her after waking up?” Yu Mingxi wrung out the towel and hung it back up, then grabbed some tissue to wipe her wet, fuzzy belly.
Yuanyuan licked her lips and replied, “I smelled the yummy breakfast! Auntie must be busy making something delicious for me. Since she’s already so busy, I wanted to try doing it myself…”
After finishing her explanation, she lowered her head, clearly disappointed.
“But I failed… Yuanyuan is so clumsy.”
