“Waaah! Don’t hurt Daddy! Don’t kill Daddy!” Little Yuanyuan woke up from her nightmare, crying out loud.
It was still dark outside, and the dim bedside lamp, left on by Yu Mingxi to ward off the darkness, barely lit the room. The quiet in the room made Yu Yuanyuan feel even more alone as she looked around her empty room, sadness swelling in her heart.
She missed her home in the fairyland so much. She wanted to bring Daddy back to reunite with her leopard mama and her brothers.
But…
But if Daddy died in this world, he wouldn’t be able to return to the celestial realm. He would be stuck here, endlessly reliving the tragedy of being killed.
Thinking hard with her little brain, Yu Yuanyuan started to suspect that her dream might be a prophetic one!
In the celestial realm, there was a little tiger next door, the only one in his clan with the ability to foresee the future. His foresight wasn’t very long-term; he mostly used it to predict what he’d eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
When he played with Yu Yuanyuan, he proudly showed off his ability.
He could predict his meals with perfect accuracy!
At first, Yu Yuanyuan didn’t think much of it. What’s so special about predicting meals?
But then, one day—
The little tiger said he didn’t feel like eating celestial fruits that day, but his foresight told him that his mom was going to bring them back. Determined to change his fate, he set out to alter the outcome.
That night, he ended up eating a little bird instead of celestial fruits.
From then on, he often used this ability to change his meals to whatever he felt like eating.
For Yu Yuanyuan, this power suddenly became sacred and awe-inspiring! The ability to decide what to eat? That’s pure happiness!
With her limited understanding, Yu Yuanyuan began to link her dreams to the little tiger’s prophetic ability.
The things she dreamed about every night must be related to Daddy’s future!
Otherwise, why would she be unable to speak whenever she wanted to tell others about the dreams? It was like her mouth was sealed.
Yu Yuanyuan vaguely remembered from TV shows that certain secrets couldn’t be revealed—they were called “heavenly secrets.”
She didn’t fully understand what it meant, but she had a sense that some things were meant to stay hidden, known only to her.
Realizing that her dreams might be prophetic made Yu Yuanyuan feel even worse.
The little one slumped in bed, curling up like a wilting flower, feeling too sad to speak.
No way.
She couldn’t give up!
Daddy could only be saved by her; she had to try!
Within five seconds of feeling down, the little one jumped up, standing proudly on her bed with fists clenched. “Yuanyuan is going to change the story!”
But the question was: how?
She sifted through her memory of TV shows and cartoons, searching for a solution that could work.
Finally, a bold and terrifying idea popped into her head, so shocking that it even startled her.
If she got rid of that bad brother, Daddy would be safe!
But the moment that idea appeared, she quickly shook her head and dismissed it.
In this world, doing bad things would get you locked up in a cage.
If she got locked up, how would she save Daddy?
Ugh, this is so frustrating!
Yu Yuanyuan tossed and turned, thinking so much that she lost all sleepiness. It wasn’t until much later that she drifted back to sleep, exhausted.
When she woke up, her little hands were almost numb from being pressed under her body. It took her a few moments of shaking them to get the feeling back.
“Yuanyuan, time to get up!” Yu Mingxi gently knocked on the door, her voice as warm as the sunlight sneaking through the curtains.
Yu Yuanyuan suddenly remembered they were going to the aquarium today, and the worries from her dream quickly disappeared, replaced by excitement.
She jumped out of bed, hurried to wash up, and changed her clothes.
The three little ones, each with their small backpacks ready, held hands and went downstairs for breakfast. That’s when they saw Yu Jinxiao coming down the stairs.
His face didn’t look good, and Gao Zhou was walking closely behind him.
“Uncle Gao will take you to the aquarium today. Daddy has to go to the office,” Yu Jinxiao said, a flash of coldness briefly crossing his eyes.
Yu Mingxi pursed her lips but said nothing.
It seemed something serious had happened.
