The Villain’s Spoiled Daughter
The Villain’s Spoiled Daughter Chapter 6.1

Chapter 6.1

But when did the president ever care so much about his little princess at home?

The assistant was a bit puzzled, but as a normal person, he thought this was still a good phenomenon.

After finishing his business dinner that night, Sheng Zexi didn’t go straight home. Instead, he went to the supermarket based on the notes he had taken earlier.

He had initially intended to ask his assistant to buy something for the little girl, but in the end, Sheng Zexi decided to go himself.

What should he buy?

Children’s toys? Kids’ clothes? Or snacks for children?

Passing by a children’s clothing store, he quickly entered, but soon found himself confused by the sales clerk’s question about the child’s size.

What size?

Sheng Zexi wasn’t quite sure himself. He only knew how old Nuo Nuo was, but he had no idea what size clothes she wore or what colors she liked.

He could only ask his assistant, but the assistant was only responsible for managing household affairs and didn’t know about the child’s preferences or clothing sizes. Those were all handled by the lady of the house.

He suggested, “Why not ask Madam?”

Sheng Zexi didn’t want to ask Xu Ai, fearing she would mock him again.

Since he didn’t know what to buy, he decided to just pick something at random.

Without hesitation, Sheng Zexi instructed the clerk to select a few outfits for girls aged two to three, describing Nuo Nuo’s general shape.

After thinking for a moment, the clerk went to get the clothes based on Sheng Zexi’s requirements.

After a while, she returned with five or six sets. Sheng Zexi wasn’t sure if that would be enough, but since he didn’t know the child’s exact size, he figured he could always buy more later.

Next, he went to buy toys. Choosing toys for a little girl was also a bit of a skill. There were so many kinds to choose from. In the end, he selected a few educational toys.

Only then did he drive back home.

When he got home, both mother and daughter were absent. After inquiring with the housekeeper, he learned that Xu Ai had taken Nuo Nuo to a friend’s house for dinner.

They weren’t home.

Sheng Zexi glanced at the bags in his hand. He originally wanted to hand them to the housekeeper, but then thought that since he bought them, he should give them to Nuo Nuo himself so that she would feel his kindness.

After some thought, he took them back to his own room.

By the time Xu Ai and Nuo Nuo returned home at eleven, Xu Ai was still carrying a lot of things for Nuo Nuo. As soon as they sat down, they started taking out the items from their bags and displaying them in the living room, with Nuo Nuo eagerly looking at her new clothes.

Xu Ai seemed a bit tired from shopping and lazily leaned against the sofa while Nuo Nuo happily pulled out each piece of clothing to look at.

Watching from upstairs, Sheng Zexi suddenly felt he shouldn’t have rashly put Nuo Nuo’s clothes and toys in her room. Xu Ai had bought such beautiful outfits that could make Nuo Nuo look like a delicate little princess, while his purchases seemed so plain in comparison. The little girl might end up disliking his gifts and crying about them.

Hearing the sound of Nuo Nuo and Xu Ai coming upstairs, as well as their conversation, he still felt confused about his actions.

Why didn’t he let his assistant choose these clothes? Why did he think Nuo Nuo’s clothes bought by Xu Ai were too pretty and that his own purchases might embarrass him?

Sheng Zexi refused to delve deeper into it, leaving the things he bought for the child in his room and waiting for her to discover them on her own.

However, after that night, Nuo Nuo never came to his room again, completely unaware that Sheng Zexi had bought her clothes and placed them there.

Several nights passed, and each time Sheng Zexi came home and saw the clothes for the child on his desk, he felt a bit dazed. If the clothes and toys didn’t end up in Nuo Nuo’s hands, what was the point of buying them?

After seeing the housekeeper a few times, he hesitated to ask her to take the things to Nuo Nuo’s room. But every time he saw the beautiful dresses Xu Ai had bought for Nuo Nuo, adorning the little girl like a blooming flower, he felt that he couldn’t quite show off the clothes he had purchased.
