Chapter 40: The Bad Woman I Admire Most
Fu Jianzhi poured himself a glass of whiskey and swirled the Butler Liquid in the glass.
Butler Li, hesitated for a long while before speaking up: “Sir, the doctor advised you not to drink at night. If you have trouble sleeping, you can take another pill.”
Alcohol is a strong stimulant to the human body.
Fu Jianzhi smiled.
Although Mu Ruo had branded him as a “black-hearted capitalist,” he didn’t deny it.
Fu Jianzhi’s voice was soft and husky: “Butler Li, what do you think capitalists love to do most?”
Butler Li: “???”
Butler Li hesitated: “Making money?”
“Wrong.” Fu Jianzhi said, “Forcibly taking and turning others’ into one’s own.”
A man Butler Like Fu Jianzhi, even if something doesn’t belong to him, even if he doesn’t like it, if he finds it interesting, he will immediately seize it for himself.
On the surface, he is a gentleman with a refined demeanor and witty conversation.
But only he knows how dark and evil he truly is inside.
In the deep sea, there are no beautiful, harmless, pure creatures—only enormous, bloodthirsty sea monsters that stir up storms and swallow giant ships during tempestuous nights.
Butler Li couldn’t think of anything else; his mind was full of the whiskey in Fu Jianzhi’s hand.
“Sir, the doctor said you shouldn’t drink…”
Under Fu Jianzhi’s cold gaze, Butler Li immediately backed down.
The diligent housekeeper offered a particularly good suggestion: “Why not let Madam come downstairs to drink it for you? Just pay her five million. And since you and Madam are familiar, you could get a fifty percent discount.”
Fu Jianzhi’s expression darkened.
Was his money so easy to make?
Mu Ruo herself called him black-hearted.
“Tell her, fifty thousand. If she’s interested, she can come.”
Would Mu Ruo bow down for fifty thousand?
The answer proved to be yes.
Mu Father was very angry after the call was ended.
He never expected that his once obedient daughter would dare speak to him so harshly.
Given the current situation of the Mu family’s company, Mu Father was hoping Mu Ruo would say a few good words in front of Fu Jianzhi and get his help.
Now, seeing Mu Ruo’s attitude, it was clear she would never help him.
Mu Father was panting heavily with rage.
Yao Wanzhen saw his state and hurried over to calm him down: “Don’t be angry; it’s not worth it for the sake of the children.”
Mu Kui pouted: “I’ve said it before, she’s just an ingrate, doesn’t know how to give back to the family. She’s living luxuriously as the wife of a billionaire while our family suffers.”
The Mu family’s current economic situation is certainly better than that of ordinary families.
But people’s ambitions always grow.
Mu Kui and Yao Wanzhen had been receiving a lot of money from Mu Ruo every month to buy various jewels and luxury items.
Now that money had suddenly disappeared, and they were both very disgruntled.
Yao Wanzhen sighed: “It’s a pity. Ruo Ruo doesn’t resemble us at all; she’s ungrateful. If Kui Kui had married Fu Jianzhi, our family’s company would surely be doing better now.”
Mu Kui’s eyes twinkled: “I can still marry Fu Jianzhi now, as long as Fu Jianzhi divorces Mu Ruo.”
Yao Wanzhen’s appearance and family background were no match for Mu Ruo’s biological mother.
Seeing Mu Ruo living so well and her own daughter unable to catch up, Yao Wanzhen felt very uneasy.
Previously, Yao Wanzhen could tolerate it because Mu Ruo had given them a significant amount of money from Fu Jianzhi.
Now that Mu Ruo was only enjoying herself and had completely forgotten about her family, Yao Wanzhen could no longer tolerate it.
Yao Wanzhen thought for a moment: “Mu Ruo is so ungrateful; she can’t be allowed to continue like this.”
Mu Father frowned.
He didn’t have deep feelings for Mu Ruo. With Yao Wanzhen and Mu Kui constantly talking in his ear, he also felt that Mu Ruo was a bit of an ingrate.
After all, Mu Ruo had grown up in a wealthy family and wanted for nothing. Later, her family even sent her abroad for further training.
Even if she were the daughter of an ordinary family, she should be grateful. How much more so for Mu Ruo, who married into a top-tier wealthy family?
She wasn’t thinking about repaying her family but instead scolded her biological father on the phone. It was simply unforgivable.
Without her family, could she have married Fu Jianzhi?
Mu Father sneered: “She thinks she’s grown wings and can dream of becoming a phoenix after leaving our family! Without the Mu family, she’s nothing!”
“Exactly!” Mu Kui nodded vigorously, “Dad, we must teach her a lesson and show her our strength!”
The next morning.
Mu Ruo was still deeply asleep under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, Fu Jianzhi, who had slept through the night, had changed into formal attire. After checking the time, he sat in the back seat of his car, ready for the driver to take him to the company.
He unexpectedly encountered Yao Wanzhen and Mu Kui outside the company.
Mu Kui was dressed in a high-end gown, looking demure and obedient, standing beside Yao Wanzhen without saying a word.
Fu Jianzhi recognized the two of them as Mu Ruo’s stepmother and sister.
Out of politeness, he nodded.
Although Yao Wanzhen was an elder, she felt somewhat guilty and nervous in front of someone of Fu Jianzhi’s stature.
“Mr. Fu,” Yao Wanzhen said, “I would like to discuss Mu Ruo with you.”
Hearing Mu Ruo’s name, Fu Jianzhi’s footsteps paused.
Mu Kui looked at Fu Jianzhi with admiration and awe: “Yes, brother-in-law, we know you’re very busy, but this is important.”
Fu Jianzhi nodded: “I’m listening.”
Yao Wanzhen forced a bitter smile: “Ruo Ruo has had a bad temperament since she was young. At home, she not only bullied her sister but also liked to steal money and things. The family tried to correct her many times, but it didn’t work. Mr. Fu, you’re a good person, and I don’t want to harm you.”
Fu Jianzhi found it amusing.
He would never understand a person from their stepmother and stepsister’s perspective.
Moreover, even if what they said were true, it was about the old Mu Ruo.
The Mu Ruo of today was a different person altogether.
“Oh?” Fu Jianzhi smiled nonchalantly, “I can’t see it at all.”
“The Fu family is incredibly wealthy, and it’s an honor for Ruo Ruo to marry you.” Yao Wanzhen looked genuinely distressed, “But we’re afraid she might do something bad and bring trouble to the family. I’m letting you know about her true nature so you can be aware. She’s very good at pretending.”
“Thank you for the reminder,” Fu Jianzhi replied tersely, but his words were cutting, “Coincidentally, I most admire bad women.”
