Chapter 15: The Obedient and Soft Ruan Yan
When Ruan Yan woke up again, it was already five in the afternoon.
In the bedroom, the blackout curtains were swaying slightly in the breeze, leaving a small gap through which the blinding sunlight streamed directly onto his face. His eyelashes fluttered, and he slowly opened his eyes.
He moved slightly.
His body tensed for a moment.
All the memories from last night rushed back.
The heat of his heat period had come on suddenly and violently. At first, he had slowly lost control of his consciousness, and then…
Ruan Yan’s face stiffened. He… had begged Xiao Jin to continue…
Every part of his body was in intense pain, each part serving as a painful reminder of how he had pleaded with Xiao Jin again and again the night before.
Even in the end, when Xiao Jin had said he would take him to the shower, he had refused.
His body was wrapped in the warm blanket, yet he felt a chill all over.
The way he looked yesterday was no different from an Omega craving pheromones. He had seen his father during his heat, kneeling at Ruan Hong’s feet, begging for pheromones. He had even stripped off all his clothes, humbly pleading like that.
Ruan Hong had watched coldly, only reluctantly giving his father a temporary mark when he was thoroughly annoyed.
With just that faint temporary mark, his father had to endure the heat.
A chill coursed through his body, sweeping through his internal organs.
Last night, he was no different from an Omega in heat.
Ruan Yan curled up.
The pain, too much pain!
He curled up in the blanket, the pain blurring his vision, beads of sweat gathering on his forehead.
The door creaked open, and footsteps stopped by the bed. Ruan Yan felt a hand touch his forehead.
The hand was cool and soothing.
Xiao Jin’s hand reached down.
In his hand was a swelling-reducing ointment. As soon as it touched the area, Ruan Yan struggled and refused to let him touch it.
Ruan Yan grabbed his arm with a slight tremor and said, “No.”
Xiao Jin smiled maliciously, his voice cold, “Ruan Yan, my patience isn’t great. Yesterday’s incident is over, but as my lover, you have no right to refuse.”
Ruan Yan shuddered, Xiao Jin’s words shattered the fragile dignity he had painstakingly rebuilt.
He let go.
Although Xiao Jin’s words were harsh, his actions were gentle.
The atmosphere was somewhat oppressive, with only a single word spoken since the person had woken up.
Feeling somewhat displeased, Xiao Jin unconsciously applied a bit more pressure.
Immediately, Ruan Yan tensed up.
This time, the Great White Tiger didn’t roar but instead paced around the bed, its paws making faint sounds as they hit the wooden floor.
The ‘thud thud thud’ sound teased Ruan Yan’s nerves.
After a while, Ruan Yan shifted closer to the edge of the bed and spread his palm out on the bed. The next moment, a warm, furry paw rested on Ruan Yan’s palm.
The soft touch tempted Ruan Yan to gently squeeze it.
Last time, Xiao Jin had retracted his differentiated beast as soon as they made contact. Ruan Yan couldn’t figure out why the differentiated beast was in the room this time.
Then it occurred to him that this was Xiao Jin’s bedroom, so it was normal for the differentiated beast to be here.
Since Xiao Jin wasn’t around, Ruan Yan lay by the bedside, unable to resist playing with the white paw for a long time.

Downstairs.
“Boss, I’ve looked into that person. He’s just a bar owner. If you want more detailed information, I’ve asked Qi Yuan to keep investigating,” Ji Duan reported to Xiao Jin, handing him a sheet of A4 paper. “Oh, by the way, this is a contract I had a professional lawyer draft. Take a look and see if there’s anything else you’d like to add.”
Xiao Jin turned to look at him. “What contract?”
Ji Duan scratched his head. “Aren’t you looking for a lover’s contract? Every clause here is based on the experience I’ve gathered from numerous books!”
Xiao Jin took the contract with great interest, flipping through it curiously.
None of the clauses seemed particularly useful for Ruan Yan. Xiao Jin could sense Ruan Yan’s resistance towards him. The lack of a strong reaction was likely due to fear.
As long as Ruan Yan feared him, he would listen.
