Chapter 2: There’s No Difference Between This and Breaking His Legs

“Please… give me an inhibitor.”

Ruan Yan’s hand trembled as it grasped the man in front of him. He could feel the Alpha’s pheromones overwhelming him, making him shiver uncontrollably.

Ruan Yan was an Alpha himself, and his rank was not low, so he didn’t understand why he felt such fear toward the Alpha in front of him.

But none of this mattered right now. Regardless of the reason, the Alpha in front of him would surely understand what he was asking for.

Xiao Jin lowered his gaze to the hand gripping his collar, noticing the slender, pale fingers that were strong and firm.

He suddenly found the situation somewhat amusing. After all, no one dared to speak to him this way while holding onto him.

Xiao Jin let out a mocking chuckle, swatting the hand away, and then turned to sit on a nearby armchair, crossing his legs. A smug smile curved on his lips. “You want it? Then, should I just give it to you?”

When an Alpha’s sensitive period arrived, they were already prone to losing their composure, and the tingling pain at the back of Ruan Yan’s neck only further provoked his rationality.

The normally gentle gaze in Ruan Yan’s eyes suddenly turned sharp, and he growled, “If you don’t give it to me, get lost!”

Hearing the rude shout, Xiao Jin froze for a moment.

After two seconds, he sneered and gave Ruan Yan a cold glance before standing up. With one long stride, he crossed over to Ruan Yan’s side.

Ruan Yan’s breath caught in his throat. He was grabbed by the throat and shoved against the wall. The back of his head hit the wall with a loud thud, making his already dizzy head spin even more.

“You really don’t know when to quit. Have you forgotten whose turf you’re on?”

Xiao Jin briefly considered just breaking his legs and tossing him back to the Ruan family.

But when his gaze landed on the face of the man in front of him, he saw his face flush red, veins bulging on his forehead.

For reasons he couldn’t quite explain, Xiao Jin loosened his grip.

Then he took a moment to examine the young master before him.

Born into a wealthy family, Ruan Yan was very pale.

At this moment, his lips trembled slightly, turning red, and his pale neck, marked with the traces of Xiao Jin’s grip, exuded a subtle flush. His body also trembled slightly, as if he had already fallen into the trap of desire.

Xiao Jin stood above him, broad-shouldered, long-legged, with deep-set eyes and brows. His height exceeded that of most Alphas.

Ruan Yan, soft and leaning against the wall, stood at 183 cm, yet he was still shorter than the man holding him by half a head.

The rich, intoxicating scent of alcohol was overwhelming. Xiao Jin couldn’t figure out why he was acting this way. His hand, which had been gripping Ruan Yan’s throat, slowly moved downward, resting on his waist. The man before him had a waist so slim, it didn’t resemble that of an Alpha at all.

Ruan Yan was sensitive to being tickled, and his waist had always been a forbidden zone for him. He didn’t know where the strength came from, but he raised his hand and pushed Xiao Jin away with a forceful shove, raising an eyebrow and coldly saying, “Get lost!”

Xiao Jin staggered back a few steps. He suddenly remembered something he’d accidentally seen on Ji Duan’s computer – the idea that two Alphas could be together wasn’t impossible.

But the one on the receiving end would endure excruciating pain, and, more than that, humiliation.

Xiao Jin sneered, slowly rolling up his sleeve, and then grabbed Ruan Yan’s wrist.

The feel of it was nice—soft, delicate wristbones, smooth like fine silk, making it hard to let go.

Ruan Yan’s eyes flickered with alertness. In the next moment, he was violently pulled and slammed onto the bed. His back met the soft mattress, but it wasn’t uncomfortable.

Halfway through, Xiao Jin noticed that Ruan Yan was still managing to hold on to a sliver of clarity, enough to speak to him. That alone was enough to show that Ruan Yan was an Alpha of no low rank.

His subordinates, upon encountering Xiao Jin’s pheromones, would experience overwhelming pressure and unbearable pain.

But Ruan Yan didn’t seem to be in any significant pain.

Xiao Jin’s lips curled into a smirk.

Interesting indeed.

……

Ruan Yan woke up at 10 AM, and by then, the room was already empty.

He woke up lying flat on his back. He had always been a very proper sleeper. Sitting up, he struggled to bend over and pick up his clothes from under the bed.

The soreness all over his body, along with a dull ache in certain areas, was impossible to ignore.

Ruan Yan’s personality had always been indifferent, and gritting his teeth, he chose to treat the unexpected event as nothing more than being bitten by a dog.

Last night, he had learned from Xiao Jin’s own mouth the reason he had been brought here.

It was related to his father.

Ruan Yan picked up his clothes from under the bed, buttoning his shirt, but when he tried to put on his pants, they were almost torn to shreds.

“Xiao Jin, you’re out of your mind!”

Last night, he had learned the man’s name.

“Bang—” Something fell to the floor with a heavy, muffled sound.

Ruan Yan, holding the torn pants, turned his gaze toward the source of the noise, his expression unchanged as he looked at the person who had bound him here.

His eyes dropped, and on the floor, there was a metal rod.

Ji Duan stood frozen in place. Yesterday, he had discussed with the boss about breaking Ruan Yan’s legs and sending him back to the Ruan family, so he had rushed over early this morning.

“What are you doing here?” Xiao Jin’s voice came from behind Ji Duan.

“Ah…”

Ji Duan turned his head, opening his mouth, but all that came out was a stammer.

Xiao Jin was slightly taller than Ji Duan, and his gaze landed on Ruan Yan’s figure. When his eyes settled on Ruan Yan’s long, straight, and pale legs, his brow furrowed just the slightest bit.

If Ji Duan hadn’t been there, he would have enjoyed the sight.

His gaze moved upward, and at least the young master had put on a pair of underwear.

Ruan Yan glanced at Xiao Jin once more, his expression cold, and limped toward the bathroom, still holding the torn pants.

Ji Duan saw the red marks and two bite marks on Ruan Yan’s leg. Even without much insight, he could tell what had happened last night. He instinctively thought that, for these two alphas, it seemed like breaking the legs was no different from what had already occurred…

He squatted down, picked up the metal rod, and turned toward Xiao Jin, hesitantly speaking, “Boss… does the young master’s leg still need to be broken?”

He had seen clearly earlier, it was obvious the young master was on the receiving end.

Xiao Jin raised the corner of his lips, “Break it, why not? I’m still not done venting my anger.”

Ji Duan: “…”

Actually, he really wanted to say: Boss, you really are a bastard who never takes responsibility after getting your way.

But he didn’t dare to.

The two of them had nothing to hide from each other, and their conversation wasn’t exactly quiet, so Ruan Yan in the bathroom could clearly hear them.

His grip on the towel tightened.

He had submitted to being controlled. He had accepted that.

But he still had his own goals. His father still needed his care.

If Xiao Jin really broke his legs, many things would have to be postponed, and his father’s chance of escaping the Ruan family would grow even smaller…

Since Xiao Jin had torn his pants, Ruan Yan had no choice but to put on a bathrobe and walk out.

At the door, only Xiao Jin remained.

He leaned against the doorframe with his hands in his pockets, his face showing obvious displeasure, not even attempting to hide it. His dissatisfaction was clearly written all over his face.

His frustration came from the fact that he was actually torn between whether or not to break Ruan Yan’s legs and send him back to the Ruan family.
