Chapter 11: The College Entrance Exam Ends

“Nervous?”

“A little,” Kui Ming admitted, for once not trying to act tough.

In the past, when had he ever cared about exams? But after all the effort he had put in recently, the more time and energy he invested, the more he naturally cared about the outcome. Standing at the doorstep of the college entrance exam, who could honestly say they weren’t a little nervous?

In the crowd, Xie Jun suddenly gave Kui Ming’s hand a gentle squeeze. “Good luck.”

Kui Ming smiled, “Good luck.”

The bell before the exam was solemn, but the bell after the exam rang with joy.

The students, like monkeys freed after being trapped under the Five Finger Mountain for five hundred years, regained their freedom and rushed out one after another.

“Class monitor, Brother Ming!” The chubby Lu Yuan spotted them and waved his arms from a distance. “Let’s go have dinner together tonight!”

Today was a special day, and none of the parents would be keeping a close eye on them. The whole class had already planned to stay up all night and have fun.

“You guys go ahead,” Xie Jun said with a smile.

“We’re going to have our own private time,” Kui Ming said proudly, wrapping his arm around Xie Jun’s shoulders.

Lu Yuan couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “Bye.”

He wasn’t really afraid of Kui Ming anymore. Ever since he accidentally discovered their relationship, the two of them hadn’t bothered to hide it in front of him, openly showing off their affection, and sometimes even asking him to cover for them.

He had endured too much. Lu Yuan hugged his chubby self tightly.

Kui Ming naturally draped his arm over Xie Jun’s shoulder, practically glued to his side. There were plenty of other boys and girls joking and playing around on the streets, so no one paid them much attention.

“Let’s go.”

The two of them headed straight for the train station.

Xie Jun had already informed his family that he’d be going out for a few days. His parents had always trusted him, so they readily agreed.

Kui Ming’s parents cared even less; upon hearing his plans, they each transferred him some money, telling him to enjoy himself.

The two-hour high-speed train ride brought them to the neighboring province.

At the hotel.

The two of them naturally shared a kiss.

Kui Ming kissed Xie Jun’s lips and suddenly laughed, “It feels a bit strange now that you’re not setting goals for me anymore.”

Xie Jun chuckled and gave him a light kick. “Do you want me to set a goal for you right now?”

“Sure.” Kui Ming pounced on him, knocking him over. “How about a goal of seven times in one night?”

Their laughter was swallowed by the night, as stars twinkled in the sky above, drawing closer together, nestled tightly against one another.
