After a team fight, only ST’s mid-laner Shen Lele remained, while the opposing team was wiped out. Shen Lele seized the opportunity, pushing down the enemy’s first and second towers, even going into the enemy jungle to steal a blue buff. When the opposing jungler came charging with vengeance, Shen Lele immediately used a teleport skill to return to the safety of their defensive tower. One of his skills could cross half the map.
“Mid-lane, AD, find the enemy, I’ll take the dragon,” He ordered. After ST’s jungler revived, they quickly took the dragon. Checking the map, they set up to ambush the bottom lane. But the enemy seemed to have the same idea. A second team fight broke out. The enemy support was targeted and hooked in by the enemy, and after being stunned, They swiftly cleansed the stun, knowing she wouldn’t survive. She quickly used all her skills, and the enemy was caught in a tight control.
Kuang Ye’s voice, filled with a laugh, came through the headset: “That hook from the enemy was good.” Then, like a swarm of mice in a rice bin, the team immediately launched a full-on attack, wiping out the enemy without leaving a single survivor. The crowd erupted with cheers, and ST’s advantage was clear. They could really win the championship.
With a large gap in gold, the enemy team appeared to play more defensively, and the comms were filled with Kuang Ye’s orders: “Mid-lane, you go bait them. Support, you go bait them. Top-lane, you go bait them.” The referee’s voice cut through, “Yellow card, no foul language.”
The rest of the team on the stage appeared calm, but they were barely holding in their laughter. Kuang Ye smirked, “Such dedication? The referee even understands Chinese!”
The game went on. The enemy had been to the finals, and after some struggles, both teams quickly fell into a tense back-and-forth. At the 48-minute mark, ST reached the enemy’s base. The enemy finally stopped avoiding fights and began to clash head-on. The enemy’s mid-laner, an Ice Mage, unleashed a devastating ultimate, followed by her bouncing skill that stunned everyone. The enemy quickly tried to dive onto ST’s AD, but at the critical moment, the support used a crowd-control break and shielded the AD with a Gold Form.
The enemy wasted several of their skills, and ST’s AD was able to dish out massive damage, taking down most of the enemy’s team. However, by the late game, many heroes had revived, only to be knocked down again as the floor effect from the Ice Mage’s skill expired. ST flashed in pursuit. The moment for the kill was here—Ace! The entire enemy team was wiped out.
Shen Lele had already cleared the minion wave in the mid-lane and started pushing toward the enemy base.
On the sidelines, Mu Wan clenched her dress, excited as she watched. When the enemy’s crystal shattered, signaling victory, the entire LPL audience erupted. “We won! We won! First time, first time, LPL’s International champions!” Fireworks exploded in the sky, and Mu Wan stood up, watching ST take the stage. The five-star red flag slowly rose behind them.
Kuang Ye, spotting Mu Wan, grinned mischievously and blew her a kiss. The crowd screamed in excitement. The broadcast camera shifted to show Mu Wan sitting in the crowd, and viewers at home immediately realized the kiss was for her. Fans flooded the chat:
“Here comes the dog food, our favorite couple!”
“Ah, Mu Wan went to watch the finals, and her violin case is by her feet. She just came from her own violin competition, so sweet!”
“Did you know? Mu Wan also won the championship at the Paganini Violin International Competition, that’s a big deal!”
“Quick, marriage license office! Get to Y Country now!”
Meanwhile, in the competition hall, Manager Zhang was arguing with the event organizers about the national anthem playing too quietly, unable to hear it. The staff pretended to be clueless, saying, “Isn’t it loud enough? Everyone else is fine. Don’t act all special just because you won.” Zhang was furious, “I’ll make it special, alright? This is an embarrassing situation for ST. If you can’t operate properly, step aside, I’ll do it myself.”
Eventually, it was clear the issue was deliberate when a runner dropped the flag of a runner-up team. Zhang stormed off to find someone with authority to address the matter. The crowd at the event started murmuring:
“Why is the national anthem so quiet?”
“Yes, it’s too quiet, it’s barely audible. I could shout louder myself.”
Foreign fans, unhappy their team lost, mocked, “This is their national anthem? It’s pathetic.”
Mu Wan frowned, noticing the flag nearly reached the top. If they played the anthem again, the flag would need to come down. Looking at her violin case, an idea suddenly occurred to her.
Just as Kuang Ye was about to halt the award ceremony, the sound of soft violin music unexpectedly began to play from backstage. Mu Wan stood elegantly in a red dress, with her violin in hand. Behind her, Euro and other staff from Jian Jia also held violins. The familiar melody filled the entire venue, and soon, the Chinese nationals began singing the national anthem in support of ST. The music grew in strength until it became a full chorus, echoing through the arena.
Zhang stopped in his tracks, hearing the chorus, his steps faltering, and a tear welled in his eye. He glared at the person obstructing the anthem’s playing and muttered in English, “This is your worldview? Petty-minded and small.”
As the anthem ended, the red flag rose, and the organizers handed ST their championship trophy. The six members of ST looked at their golden trophy, tears of joy in their eyes. After so much struggle, their dream and honor had finally been realized.
Suddenly, Kuang Ye turned to his teammates. “Can I borrow the trophy?”
The team looked at him, confused. Then, in front of dozens of cameras, Kuang Ye knelt on one knee, flashing a radiant smile as his messy hair swayed in the moment. The crowd screamed as he called out passionately, “I promised I would propose to you after winning a Global championship!”
“Dear Wan wan, will you marry me?”
The sound of fireworks and celebratory cannons filled the air, adding a romantic touch to this unique proposal.
Mu Wan looked at her passionate lover on stage, her eyes brimming with joyful tears. “I do! In this life and the next, as long as it’s you, I will always say yes.”
