Tower of Dawn: Volume 1 Chapter 37

Chapter 37: A Good Hospital Experience

Currently, the remaining survival points for Wang Zhi’s team are 14,000. They have accumulated a total of 16,200 points, leaving them 34,000 points short of advancing to a level 4 team. It requires a total of 50,000 survival points to upgrade to a level 4 team.

Wang Zhi arrived at the data center to hand over his magnetic card to the staff, officially advancing his team. Now, Wang Zhi’s “Sunset Afterglow” team is officially a level 3 team. They became the third level 3 team in the Dawn Tower and the fastest to reach level 3. At present, their team has expanded to 15 members!

“Guess how many survival points we got?” Wang Zhi asked eagerly, holding back his excitement as he approached the three people waiting outside.

“Come on, you guys are so boring. We just earned 13,000 survival points and are already a level 3 team,” Wang Zhi said when no one responded.

“13,000 points? Are you kidding?” Lao He asked in disbelief.

“Not at all. Zhao Yan was at least the head of a department. It’s normal for him to have some extra points,” Wang Zhi replied casually.

At the same time, Su Mu Ying was looking at Wang Zhi with a mischievous glint in her eyes, as though she already had plans for how to spend that money.

“Hey, Sister Ying, stop looking at me like that, I’m getting scared,” Wang Zhi said.

“Pfft, am I going to eat you or something?” Su Mu Ying rolled her eyes.

After exiting the business hall, the four of them prepared to move to the third floor. They packed up the essentials and headed there. According to Ling Ling Yao, unlocking the third floor would give them access to more information, which excited Wang Zhi.

When they arrived on the third floor, the first impression Wang Zhi had was of independence and luxury. Although the houses weren’t as grand as the general’s buildings on the fourth floor, they were already like small villas. The third floor consisted of two levels, with three rooms on the second floor and three rooms on the first floor, along with a bathroom and living room.

There were 50 villas in total on the third floor, and currently, there were still more than 20 vacant. The level 3 teams only occupied three villas, and the remaining ones were reserved for the management staff of Dawn Tower. Since there were fewer people on the third floor, there were no security personnel, and the vast training hall was only used by the three teams. The training equipment here was more comprehensive than on the lower floors! The restaurant was not yet open due to the fewer people on the third floor, so meals could either be taken from the second floor or ordered through the Ling Ling Yao system for delivery.

As Wang Zhi and the others toured the third floor, they noticed a very quiet training hall with only a few people training.

Wang Zhi realized that the higher up you go in the Dawn Tower, the larger the area of the floors. The first floor seemed quite big compared to the fourth, which appeared almost half the size. The fifth floor was the true core of the tower, where the Tower Master resided. According to Jie Xi, only those who were granted special authorization by the Tower Master could enter the fifth floor.

While passing the training hall, they met Zhang Ming, who greeted them.

“Hey, finally, another team’s come down. If you didn’t come, we would’ve gone crazy dealing with those people all the time,” Zhang Ming said, approaching them.

“Hello, we are the Sunset Afterglow Team, and I’m the team leader, Wang Zhi,” Wang Zhi introduced himself.

“I’ve heard of you guys, haha, I’m Zhang Ming, from the former Dynasty team. See that big guy over there? That’s our team leader, Duan Qingtian,” Zhang Ming said warmly.

“By the way, you mentioned those people… what’s going on with them?” Wang Zhi asked, curious about what Zhang Ming had said.

“They? They act all mysterious, like a bunch of lunatics. On the surface, they look normal, but I don’t know what the Tower Master was thinking, letting people like them in here,” Zhang Ming replied.

“Zhang Ming! Stop slacking off, go back to training!” The team leader, Duan Qingtian, shouted at Zhang Ming.

“Lunatics who look normal?” Wang Zhi thought to himself, looking at the group Zhang Ming had mentioned. Far in the distance were two masked people, both women. They were practicing with daggers. In Dawn Tower, aside from the Tower Master, very few people wore masks. Why were these people wearing masks?

“Hey, Sister Ying, look at those two,” Wang Zhi said, pointing them out to Su Mu Ying.

Su Mu Ying stared at them for a while. “Hmm, they’re pretty skilled.”

“Yeah… let’s quickly drop our stuff and go get some food. Fatty’s still waiting for us to bring him his meal,” Wang Zhi suggested.

Back in the medical room, Fatty had woken up and was staring at the ceiling in a daze. Wang Zhi walked in, placing the food on a nearby table.

“Fatty, how’s your injury?” Wang Zhi asked, sitting down beside him.

“The nurse was really pretty, very professional with her treatment, and super patient. It was actually a pretty good hospital experience,” Fatty replied.

“Eat something. Once you feel better, just lie down at home. Staying in here eats up survival points. When we get back, I’ll get you all some bulletproof vests—get the best ones,” Wang Zhi said, planning ahead.

“By the way, we’re already a level 3 team. We just moved to the third floor. Once you’re better, I’ll show you around,” Wang Zhi added.

“Wow, we’re already a level 3 team? Looks like my time in the hospital wasn’t wasted, haha!” Fatty said excitedly.

“It wasn’t a waste. Once we’re out, I’ll get you a good weapon as a reward. And Lao He, stop using that old military knife. We’ll get you something better soon,” Wang Zhi said generously.

At this point, Wang Zhi had plenty of funds. He had to make sure his team was well-equipped. Good weapons and armor were crucial. This experience had made him realize that survival points weren’t just numbers—they were what kept you alive. As long as you were alive, it meant value and victory. This was the true significance of survival points.
