Chapter 54: The Head of the Qin Family Is Stopped Outside Her Own Company’s Gate!
“You wait outside first.” Lin Qingqing didn’t explain, she simply gave the order.
Qin He asked, “Do you want me to help you find it? Or should I ask Butler Ding to send someone?”
“No need, I’ll do it myself.”
“Oh, alright.”
In less than half an hour, Lin Qingqing had watched most of the surveillance footage and walked out of the monitoring room. She glanced at Qin He, who was standing against the wall, and said, “Let’s go.”
Qin He took Lin Qingqing to the hospital for a full check-up. After reviewing the results, the specialist looked at them carefully and seriously said, “Your blood pressure, cholesterol, and uric acid are a bit high.”
Qin He, worried that the old lady might be nervous, quickly comforted her, “It’s nothing, Grandma. This kind of condition is normal at your age. Just minor issues, nothing to worry about…”
However, before he could finish his reassuring words, the specialist adjusted his glasses and looked at Qin He, saying, “This report is yours.”
Qin He: “!!!”
His mood instantly soured.
Lin Qingqing turned to look at Qin He’s rather gloomy expression. After a moment of thought—he was still her grandson after all, and he had just comforted her—she decided to reciprocate and comfort him in return.
Lin Qingqing said, “It’s okay, grandson. Just minor issues. Don’t be afraid.”
The specialist advised, “Just pay more attention to a regular lifestyle. Avoid staying up late too much.”
Seeing that it wasn’t anything serious, Qin He was relieved. Then he suddenly remembered the purpose of their hospital visit today. “How are my grandma’s test results?”
The specialist picked up two other sets of results, looked through them carefully, and said, “Very healthy. No problems at all. Even healthier than you.”
Qin He: “…”
That last sentence hit like a heavy blow!
A young man like him actually had worse health than his eighty-something-year-old grandmother!
Qin He felt terrible.
But what really caught the specialist’s attention was the woman in front of him—who looked even younger than himself—yet she was already a grandmother??
That was just… unscientific!
Noticing the specialist’s slightly strange gaze, Lin Qingqing quickly pulled Qin He away.
She was afraid they’d try to dissect her!
Clearly, she needed to be more careful in the future.
After leaving the hospital, Lin Qingqing got into the car. “If there’s nothing else, I can go home now, right?”
“I’ll take you back.”
After Qin He dropped his grandmother off at home, he reported the situation to Qin Haishan and Qin Yansen.
Qin Yansen immediately said, “This hospital isn’t good enough. Take Grandma to a hospital abroad for a check-up.”
Qin Haishan approved, and Qin He groaned, “Am I still the one taking her?”
Qin Yansen thought for a moment and said, “Didn’t Grandma want a family trip? We’ll all go together then.”
…
Qin Family Ancestral Home.
Back at home, Lin Qingqing turned on her phone and saw several friend requests from Mu Nan.
She hadn’t taken the initiative to add him, but Mu Nan was probably anxious and had asked Mu Yiyi to forward her WeChat to him. So he sent her multiple requests.
Lin Qingqing didn’t accept. It still wasn’t the right time.
She lay on the sofa and scrolled through some videos. Then she heard a noise at the door.
Looking up, she saw that Qin Jingshu had come back.
Lin Qingqing glanced at the time—it was only 2 p.m. “It’s not even the end of the workday yet. Why are you home?”
Qin Jingshu’s gloomy face slightly softened the moment he saw Lin Qingqing. He said mildly, “There’s nothing going on. So I came home.”
“Nothing going on? Didn’t Qin Haishan just say this morning that the company was busy…”
Suddenly, Lin Qingqing realized what was going on.
The Qin family disliked Qin Jingshu. There was no way they would care about him. And no one else in the company dared to assign tasks to this young master. Naturally, he became a useless presence in the company.
Sitting there was no different from staying at home.
But the truth was even more miserable than Lin Qingqing imagined.
People at the company talked behind his back, calling him a good-for-nothing. After all, why else would the president not assign him any work?
Qin Jingshu’s failure to accomplish anything was well-known in the industry. This made many people in the company look down on him. They said if he hadn’t been born into the right family, he probably would’ve starved to death by now!
For the sake of his grandmother, Qin Jingshu had been enduring it. But after several days, he couldn’t take it anymore and came home early.
Qin Jingshu chuckled lightly, “It really is busy. I finished my work and had nothing left to do, so I came back early.”
Lin Qingqing nodded, then raised the corners of her lips and gave him a thumbs-up. “Nice. Keep it up!”
Qin Jingshu smiled. “Okay.”
But the next morning, after finishing breakfast, Lin Qingqing packed up and headed to the Qin Corporation headquarters.
She wanted to see for herself what was going on!
However, as soon as she arrived at the building, she was stopped by security.
“Hello, miss. Non-employees are not allowed inside. If you have an appointment, please contact someone inside. They’ll come down and escort you.”
Lin Qingqing looked up at the towering skyscraper and thought, Their company’s rules sure are strict.
But how could they stop the head of the Qin family outside the gate?
This was absurd.
Clearing her throat, Lin Qingqing felt a bit emotional.
This was the first time she was going to reveal her identity as the richest person. Of course she was excited!
Even if it felt just a tiny bit like showing off, this was exactly the feeling she wanted!
The peak of life—shouldn’t it feel just like this?
Looking at the security guard, Lin Qingqing spoke with the dignity of a household matriarch, “I am the head of the Qin family—Lin Qingqing.”
The security guard stared at her, confused.
Is this woman crazy?
Though a lowly security guard like him had never met the family head, he knew she was an elderly lady around eighty!
But this woman in front of him had darker and thicker hair than he did, fair and tight skin, delicate features, and a graceful figure. How could she possibly resemble an eighty-year-old lady?
The guard immediately said, “Are you nuts? If you’re going to impersonate someone, at least pick someone believable. If you said you were Young Master Qin’s girlfriend, I might actually believe you. Go, go—stop standing around and being a nuisance!”
A young woman claiming to be the Qin family matriarch—it was like she was still drunk from the night before and talking nonsense!
The guard was almost laughing in disbelief.
Lin Qingqing: “…”
How could she possibly be her own grandson’s girlfriend?
That was ridiculous!
But from the guard’s point of view, claiming to be the matriarch was even more ridiculous than a joke!
Lin Qingqing suddenly realized what was going on.
Aside from her family, no one else knew about her becoming young again, so of course no one would believe her identity.
Now that she was young again, she had lost her position as the richest person outside. But no matter—she still had money.
Unbothered by arguing with the guard, Lin Qingqing called Qin He. “Hello? I’m downstairs at the Qin Corporation. Send someone to bring me up.”
Qin He was busy, so he asked his assistant to go down and fetch her.
When the security guard saw the assistant personally escorting Lin Qingqing into the building, he was stunned.
Wasn’t this young woman a lunatic? How did she actually know someone from the Qin family?
And not just anyone—she was greeted by the assistant of Second Young Master Qin himself!
The guard was completely confused but didn’t dare ask, especially since he had just been rude to her earlier.
Lin Qingqing completely ignored him. Once she entered the lobby, she asked the assistant, “Where’s Qin Jingshu?”
