Transmigrated as the Villainous Supporting Actress, I Became the Little Housekeeper of a Boy Band Chapter 34

Chapter 34: Captivated at a Glance

Fu Xi lazily stopped her. “Don’t rush to leave.”

Tang Tian was used to his teasing; it seemed he couldn’t be comfortable without it.

“Mr. Fu, you should wash up and have your meal. I won’t disturb you,” she replied, preparing to go. However, it seemed Fu Xi was much more interested in her than in his breakfast.

He languidly coaxed her, “Aren’t you considering flirting with me one more time? Maybe this time it would work.”

In Tang Tian’s eyes, he was different from Shen Yanli. She never took Fu Xi’s words seriously, knowing he enjoyed teasing others.

Tang Tian maintained a serious demeanor. “Rest assured, Mr. Fu, I won’t engage in any inappropriate behavior again.”

Fu Xi clicked his tongue in response. “You’re so dense.”

He was hinting at something, but she seemed to think he was merely testing her. What should he do with her…?

Tang Tian didn’t hear clearly what he said and left his room while pushing the cart.

As she passed by Shen Yanli’s door, she instinctively quickened her pace, as if the door itself harbored some hidden danger.

Later that afternoon, around four o’clock, Tang Tian was resting in the lounge area, with Liu Xiaozhi sitting on the sofa across from her.

Aside from attending to the gentlemen’s meals, she and Liu Xiaozhi didn’t have much else to do, which was why they were so eager to accompany the gentlemen on their trip abroad, without having to worry about personal safety.

Tang Tian was snacking on cherries while watching television, feeling quite good and no longer troubled like she had been the day before.

In contrast, Liu Xiaozhi was clearly not in a good mood. After the incident of her abandoning Tang Tian was exposed, Shen Yanli and Sister Wu had yet to respond, leaving her uncertain about her potential dismissal.

Liu Xiaozhi attributed all her worries to Tang Tian. If Tang Tian had been expelled from the room by Pei Jue, this situation wouldn’t exist.

Tang Tian, oblivious to Liu Xiaozhi’s resentment, was focused on how many cherries she had left or checking how many minutes remained in the show.

It was as if she didn’t even notice Liu Xiaozhi sitting across from her.

Liu Xiaozhi’s resentful gaze was completely ignored by Tang Tian, causing her to feel frustrated. Since Tang Tian had been kicked out of the room by Pei Jue, Liu Xiaozhi felt like she had become a different person, no longer focused on the gentlemen or making invitations, but instead… much harder to deal with.

The lounge was filled with the sound of the television. When the butler’s voice came through the intercom, Tang Tian perked up and listened carefully.

“Tonight, the gentlemen will be dining in the restaurant on the first floor. Chefs and servants, please prepare.”

Tang Tian recalled what Shen Yanli had said to her in his room yesterday. Thankfully, it was just a test; otherwise, their next encounter would be quite awkward.

the butler sent a message in the group, saying the gentlemen don’t like other servants getting too close. You and I need to make proper arrangements.”

Tang Tian waited for her to continue, knowing the key points were still to come.

As she had expected, Liu Xiaozhi continued in a seemingly understanding tone, “Then let’s stick to the division we’ve used these past two days. You’ll still be responsible for Mr. Fu and Mr. Wen, and I’ll take care of Mr. Shen and Mr. Pei.”

Tang Tian showed little emotion and simply nodded. “Alright.”

Seeing her expressionless face, Liu Xiaozhi assumed that Tang Tian was secretly angry but too afraid to show it. It seemed that Tang Tian was not as indifferent as she pretended to be; she simply had become better at hiding her emotions than before.

Tang Tian and Liu Xiaozhi were busy for a while, and soon it was dinner time.

In the dining room on the first floor, they didn’t yet know where Pei Jue and the others would sit, so Tang Tian and Liu Xiaozhi stood to the side, waiting.

Pei Jue and Wen Shaohan arrived first, and as usual, Tang Tian stood behind Wen Shaohan, while Liu Xiaozhi was responsible for Pei Jue’s dining needs.

In Liu Xiaozhi’s view, her chances of impressing Pei Jue were quite slim, but she wasn’t willing to give up; she believed that one day, Pei Jue would be moved by her efforts.

Pei Jue lifted his gaze to glance at the focused Tang Tian across from him. After just a moment, he averted his eyes, as if it had been an accidental glance.

Shen Yanli and Fu Xi entered the dining room one after the other, both looking at Tang Tian, who was focused on her tasks. Her appearance and demeanor were exceptional, captivating anyone who looked at her.

There was an empty seat beside Wen Shaohan, and Fu Xi, fearing Shen Yanli might take it, hurriedly sat down next to Wen Shaohan.

Shen Yanli merely cast a fleeting glance at Tang Tian, who was still unaware of his presence, before taking a seat across from Fu Xi.

Throughout the meal, Tang Tian was busy, as she was responsible for two gentlemen’s dining needs and couldn’t afford to make any mistakes.

She had little energy to notice Shen Yanli’s frown as he watched her from a diagonal position.

Pei Jue finished his dinner first, his gaze falling on the fine sheen of sweat on Tang Tian’s forehead. At that moment, her skin looked even more delicate and vibrant.

“Tomorrow I’ll inform the butler to arrange for two more servants,” Pei Jue said, prompting both Fu Xi and Wen Shaohan to look at Tang Tian.

Liu Xiaozhi, in comparison, had a much more leisurely time. Pei Jue and Shen Yanli didn’t require her to intervene much during their meals; she only needed to offer them hot towels occasionally.

This was also why Liu Xiaozhi was so keen to take on the responsibilities for the two of them.

Tang Tian’s responsibilities with Wen Shaohan and Fu Xi were far more demanding. While Wen Shaohan was manageable, Fu Xi’s habits were numerous and often lazy, making her work even more challenging.

Tang Tian was primarily busy attending to Fu Xi, but she couldn’t neglect Wen Shaohan either. She didn’t even have time to entertain thoughts of slacking off.

Liu Xiaozhi watched Tang Tian with a sense of hidden delight, thinking that this was what happened when she went against her.

Pei Jue’s comment made Shen Yanli’s expression darken slightly, as he had wanted to say something but was preempted by Pei Jue.

Tang Tian gradually became aware that they were all watching her. Did Pei Jue say that because he thought she was too busy?

She caught Pei Jue’s gaze, which was dark and indifferent, just as it always was. He was the first to look away, striding out of the dining room.

Fu Xi didn’t mean to complicate matters for her; his habits were simply that way, and Tang Tian rarely got close to him. This opportunity was precious to him, and he wanted to engage with Tang Tian more.

Seeing Tang Tian busy to the point of sweating slightly, Fu Xi felt a pang of regret for his earlier behavior.

Having nearly finished his meal, he reached for a hot towel, and just as he extended his hand, the hot towel was placed beside him.

Following the towel, he raised his gaze, surprised to find Tang Tian’s fair, delicate features in front of him.

Tang Tian offered the hot towel to Fu Xi without any hesitation. She didn’t feel wronged; her mindset had always been straightforward. With such a high salary, this level of exhaustion was nothing. However, she was touched by Pei Jue’s previous remarks, sensing that he was looking out for her. In that moment, her heart felt stirred.

It seemed that Pei Jue… wasn’t as cold-hearted as she had thought.
