Chapter 6

Yu Sheng had no idea that after she had finished the race and left, several people had already developed a strong interest in her. But even if she knew, she wouldn’t care.

When Yu Sheng arrived home, the Yu family villa was brightly lit. The large glass chandelier in the living room emitted a gentle glow. Everywhere in the corners were various antiques, with no concern for the maids leaving fingerprints. At this hour, all the family members were there. As soon as Yu Sheng walked in, her mother immediately stood up and greeted her, “Come, Xiaosheng, come eat some late-night snacks.”

Although her mother had said she brought some desserts on the phone, the variety of the late-night snacks was actually very rich and down-to-earth. Her mother replied, “Even if we can’t finish it, it’s fine. We can let the maids eat it.” Her mother’s tone made it sound like it was obvious. The Yu family had plenty of maids, and there was no way they wouldn’t finish all this. In the Yu family, there was no worry about food going to waste.

After finishing her late-night snack, Yu Sheng was about to head back to her room when her mother called her.

“Xiaosheng, why don’t you go shopping with Weiwei tomorrow and buy some clothes for yourself?” While speaking, her mother handed her a card, “This is your father’s supplementary card. Buy whatever you like.”

Yu Sheng instinctively glanced at Yu Wei after taking the card.

Yu Wei’s expression was calm. When her mother turned to her and said, “Make sure to bring your sister along and visit some of your usual stores,” she smiled slightly and said to her mother, “Got it, Mom.”

Yu Sheng’s mother looked at her two beautiful daughters, feeling an overwhelming sense of pride. She said, “You two have been living in different places for so many years. Now that we’ve finally reunited as a family, you two must get along well.”
