The old lady took out her things and handed them to Luo Qiao, saying, “See how much food they can get.”

Luo Qiao noticed that the old lady only brought a small bag. Seeing there weren’t many people around paying attention, she directly gave the food, and with the bag to the old lady. She even added over a pound of dried red dates.

This made the old lady very happy. Her daughter-in-law was currently in confinement and lacking breast milk, so she took the risk to come to the black market to see if she could find something. She didn’t expect this girl to give her more food and even these red dates.

This is a good thing, as it can be added when the daughter-in-law is cooking porridge, which is just enough to replenish the body.

After coming out from the black market, it was almost noon. Luo Qiao found a state-owned restaurant and ordered a serving of wontons and two vegetable buns.

When she got the buns, she realized the vegetable bun was larger than the meat bun. After finishing her meal, she discreetly stored the remaining bun in her backpack.

After eating, she thought since there was still time left, she might as well get things done. Perhaps she could even make it back by the afternoon.

When she arrived at the house, she saw the couple tidying up bowls and chopsticks in the yard. Seeing Luo Qiao, they smiled and said, “You’re here?”

Luo Qiao nodded, “I thought I’d finish the paperwork today so it won’t affect your plans tomorrow. Is that alright with you?”

The old man said, “My surname is Li, and I’m called Jianghe. You can call me Grandpa Li, and this is my wife, Qiao Yurong.”

Luo Qiao greeted, “Hello, Grandpa Li, Grandma Li, I’m Luo Qiao.”

The two elderly had just finished their meal at this moment. After tidying up, the three of them left together. They went to the Housing Management Bureau and completed the property transfer directly on the first floor. Mr. and Mrs. Li directly gave Luo Qiao a set of keys, saying, “We’ll finish moving our things tomorrow and leave the extra two keys on the kitchen windowsill. You can find them when you enter.”

Luo Qiao nodded in agreement. After confirming the arrangement with Mr. and Mrs. Li, they left first.

As she watched Mr. and Mrs. Li leave, Luo Qiao considered whether to go upstairs. Just then, she saw Qu Lili coming down from above.

Qu Lili also noticed Luo Qiao and hurried over, asking, “Why are you here now?”

Luo Qiao took out a package of red dates from her backpack and handed it to Qu Lili, saying, “I was just thinking of how to call you down. I don’t want to go upstairs and run into Ding Xiangdong again.”

Qu Lili laughed, “It’s okay. Jiang Shan makes a scene every time. Everyone in this unit knows about it, so you don’t need to feel embarrassed.”
