Lin Shu: “!!!”
She immediately threw herself against the door and locked it.
Her scalp felt tingly.
How did he know she was here?
How could a mere human know she was here?
Was he some kind of diviner?
This really felt like a horror movie. Is he really a ghost?
Lu Shaotang stood outside the door, hearing the sound of the latch being locked from inside.
He thought she might be busy or changing clothes.
To avoid startling her, he waited quietly.
But after three minutes, she still hadn’t opened the door.
Instead… was she eavesdropping on him?
He could even hear her suppressed, faint breathing.
Inside, Lin Shu’s trembling voice came through, “Are you Lu Shaotang?”
Lu Shaotang nodded, “Yes, it’s me.”
Lin Shu asked, “How did you know I was here?”
Lu Shaotang chuckled softly, “I saw you eating at the restaurant and heard what you said.”
“I have a husband. My husband is very handsome. I won’t like another man.”
Lin Shu instantly realized, “You were the one throwing the knives?”
Lu Shaotang replied, “Yes. Did I scare you? I’m sorry, it was a bit urgent.”
As long as it’s not some unknown force.
Lin Shu sighed with relief, unlatched the lock, and opened the door just a crack, peering through the gap.
Lu Shaotang was very tall.
She had to bend slightly and look up to see his face.
Lin Shu: “…”
He’s so tall!
The pressure is overwhelming!
Especially at this close distance, it made her breathless and her heart race.
Lu Shaotang thought she was opening the door for him to come in, so he instinctively took a step forward and looked down at her, “What’s wrong? Do you need to see my ID?”
As he spoke, he pulled out his ID, holding it between his long fingers and sliding it through the door crack.
To his surprise, his wary and delicate little wife really reached out, took the ID, and carefully examined it.
She looked at the ID and then up at him, as if verifying its authenticity.
Finally, she sighed and handed the ID back to him, “It really is you.”
Lu Shaotang’s mood instantly lifted, and he whispered, “Yes, it’s been a while.”
Lin Shu didn’t want to open the door; she felt nervous and scared, thinking he was too imposing and gave her a huge sense of pressure.
Especially thinking about the dream she had, she was almost paralyzed with fear.
She held onto the door and wavered slightly.
Lu Shaotang thought she was about to open it.
The door swung open as he pushed it with his long leg, the force from his strong, powerful body causing it to slam into Lin Shu.
Lin Shu gasped in surprise, but Lu Shaotang reacted swiftly, slipping into the room.
He firmly gripped the door and closed it, pulling Lin Shu back at the same time.
Lin Shu found herself pressed against the door, her front covered by his tall and muscular body.
He enveloped her completely with his strong arms, which were braced against the door.
His body felt as solid as iron.
His broad chest, covered by a thin shirt, radiated an intense heat.
Why is he so hot?
She tried to press herself against the door, feeling like a frightened rabbit confronted by a monster, paralyzed with fear.
The raw, powerful masculinity emanating from him caused her heart to race.
Her inner self was screaming for her to escape, but she was trapped in his embrace, with no way out.
Lu Shaotang looked down, making sure she was unharmed.
Seeing her eyes tightly shut, biting her lip, and her cheeks flushed as if she was ready to sacrifice herself, he found it amusing.
Was she frightened or something?
He gently rubbed her head with his large hand. “Don’t be afraid. I’m not a monster.”
His hand was so large and hot, and his strength was overwhelming!
Lin Shu felt as though her head was being squished.
She tilted her head and struggled to free herself from his grasp, her big, watery eyes glaring at him. “Stop touching my head!”
His scorching hand then cupped her cheek, her delicate and elastic skin fitting perfectly against his palm as if drawn by some magical force.
He had come to reassure her, explain his mission, and let her know he might be home later, but seeing her red face, he suddenly forgot what he intended to say. Without thinking, he lowered his head and kissed her soft, red lips.
His wife’s lips were so soft and sweet.
Lin Shu was instantly overwhelmed by his fresh and intense pheromones.
His kiss was unskilled but filled with emotion.
After a while, the sound of Lu Da’s footsteps echoed from outside.
Lin Shu: “!!!”
She panicked, struggling and hitting Lu Shaotang’s chest.
Her feet left the ground, and she was almost pressed into his body!
Reluctantly, Lu Shaotang let her down, intending to reassure her that everything was fine.
He was just about to talk to Sister Lu Da when Lin Shu forcefully pushed him towards the window.
Lin Shu signaled for him to jump out quickly.
Lu Shaotang: “???”
They were husband and wife, not having an affair.
There was no need for such secrecy.
But Lin Shu was so embarrassed that she insisted he jump out the window.
Seeing her flushed face, almost as if it were on fire, and her teary, watery eyes, Lu Shaotang’s heart softened.
He went along with her and jumped out of the window.
Sister Lu entered the room, “Sister-in-law, you… huh? You, you two, that person…”
She rushed to the window, looking outside, but couldn’t see the man.
She only saw a man’s shadow as he climbed out the window but didn’t catch a clear view of who it was.
Sister Lu Da quickly turned to Lin Shu, “Sister-in-law?”
Lin Shu covered her face, not wanting her to see her flushed cheeks, especially her swollen lips.
Lu Shaotang’s kissing skills were terrible—clumsy and rough.
His kisses had left her lips sore and numb, and now they were burning hot and likely swollen!
It was so embarrassing!
Sister Lu Da slowly sat down on the bed, observing Lin Shu.
Even though Lin Shu was covering her face, her ears, neck, wrists, and hands were all flushed red.
Was she… having a fever?
She coughed softly and said, “Well, Sister-in-law, actually, if you… you know, Elder Sister supports you.”
Third Brother is often away, and Sister-in-law must be very lonely on her own.
Now that Third Brother is gone, if you want to find a man… Elder Sister thinks it’s not necessarily a problem?
Who could bear to let such a delicate, lovely, and kind Sister-in-law stay alone?
But… it’s a bit unfair to Third Brother.
Oh, this is so confusing and maddening.
Sister Lu Da paced in the room, feeling like a donkey turning in a mill.
Lu Shaotang, who was usually composed, felt lost outside.
“…”
He was here to meet his wife and Sister-in-law, not for some illicit affair.
So why was he afraid?
But seeing his wife’s face so red it was almost bleeding, her tearful eyes, and swollen lips, he really couldn’t bring himself to defy her wishes.
He had no choice but to… hide.
He had a premonition that if he went back in, his wife would definitely start crying, and the consequences would probably be worse than if he had stayed away for years after their wedding.
Chen Yanming chased after Lu Shaotang, perched on the wall under the big tree of the guesthouse, keeping watch.
He saw Lu Shaotang enter the guesthouse, but then, after a while, Lu Shaotang suddenly jumped out of the window!
Chen Yanming: “???”
What’s going on???
Is she really is wife? Why is he hiding now?
Did they go into the wrong room or what?
And why is there a big, burly woman sticking her head out looking for someone?
It looks like a scene of infidelity. Illicit relationship
Tsk tsk, Brother Lu is having quite an exciting time, either meeting his wife for a matchmaking session or being caught in a compromising situation.
At that moment, a team member jogged over, “Captain Chen, we’ve got crucial information. The contact is in Qizhou.”
Chen Yanming: “… No rush, let’s wait a bit.
Let me enjoy the show for a while.
Lu Shaotang, hiding in the corner, was trying to figure out how to explain things to Sister Lu Da.
He was pressed for time and needed to make it brief, but…
He heard Lin Shu’s intermittent voice from inside, “Sister Lu, don’t misunderstand. That was… that was… Lu Shaotang.”
Upon hearing this, Lu Shaotang’s lips curled into a smile, and his mood lifted.
Inside, Sister Lu Da was still confused: “Who? Lu Shaotang? Isn’t that my younger brother-in-law? He’s not? Oh, so what your older brother said was true?”
Sister Lu Da had thought that her husband was just pretending to believe her third brother-in-law was alive with their father, but it turned out it was true?
Lin Shu nodded, “Yes.”
Sister Lu Da clapped her hands, stood up, and ran to the window to look outside, “Oh, why didn’t Third Brother come to see me? Third Brother, come back, and I’ll make some room for you!”
Her loud voice didn’t consider the environment, causing the neighboring guests to open their windows and look out to see what was happening.
Lin Shu: “!!! Elder Sister!”
She desperately pulled Sister Lu Da back.
Sister Lu Da was great in many ways, but when it came to other people’s matters, she had no sense of modesty.
If Lu Shaotang dared to come back, Sister Lu Da would probably try to arrange a wedding night for them right away.
Besides, their lips were both swollen.
How embarrassing would it be to meet again?
Her teeth hurt a bit, and she wasn’t sure if her lips were bruised or cut.
Ahhhh, this silly dog! Is he a husky or something?
She quickly explained that Lu Shaotang was busy with work and had to leave immediately after stopping by.
Sister Lu Da felt regretful, “So in such a hurry, he didn’t even have time to leave through the door?”
Lin Shu: “… Not much we can do. We’ll talk about it properly next time.”
Outside, Lu Shaotang: “…”
So, based on what my wife said, I can’t go back now?
