Chapter 236: Ah Bao Enters a Dream
At this time, it was past midnight.
She remembered Ah Bao’s words from the day, “Zhilan, send someone to the Luo residence to see if the little princess has gone there.”
That girl seemed to be hiding something. Before leaving the Luo residence, she had asked Yun Ci to leave the door open for her at night.
…
“Aunt Yun really left the door open for me, haha.” Ah Bao, held in Feng Zhuo’s arms, saw that the Luo residence’s door was open.
“Seventh Prince, will you stay here tonight to watch over Feng’er?” Yun Ci had a worried look. As night fell, Luo Zifeng’s condition worsened. He couldn’t close his eyes and kept complaining that his eyes hurt.
Fortunately, with the yellow talisman Ah Bao had given during the day, he hadn’t gone mad or banged into walls, but staying awake all night was exhausting.
Di Zian had a close relationship with Luo Zifeng. After paying homage to the Divine Dragon, he had quietly come to the Luo residence. “Aunt Yun, you should go rest. I’ll keep watch. It’s still drizzling, and you should take care of him. Don’t overstrain yourself.”
“Seven Prince, Aunt Yun, I’m here!” Ah Bao peeked her little head out from the doorframe.
Yun Ci and Di Zian were startled.
“Ah Bao, you really came?” Yun Ci had deliberately left the door open for Ah Bao. She picked her up.
[Hehe, it was Feng Zhuo who brought me here.]
Yun Ci knew Ah Bao had bodyguards, so she smiled and said, “Ah Bao, sleep with Aunt Yun tonight.”
She treated Ah Bao like her own daughter.
Ah Bao shook her head, “No, I still need to treat Luo Uncle.”
Yun Ci’s heart softened. She looked at Luo Zifeng, who was suffering from hysteria on the couch, then at the delicate little bundle in her arms. Perhaps Ah Bao could really cure Feng’er?
She kissed Ah Bao’s forehead, “Ah Bao, I’m counting on you.”
At this moment, she didn’t believe in gods or Buddha but in Ah Bao.
“The time has come, the time has come.” Ah Bao quickly slipped out of Yun Ci’s arms, climbed onto the bed, and gave Luo Zifeng a bright smile. “Luo Brother, be a good boy and sleep. I’ll stay with you.”
The moment Luo Zifeng saw Ah Bao, something strange happened. His eyes no longer hurt, and his mind was no longer in hysteria. It was as if he had seen a guiding light in the darkness.
“Seventh Prince, you can sleep over there.” Ah Bao clearly arranged for Luo Zifeng and Di Zian.
[My performance is about to begin. Time to get moving!]
[Let me show Seventh Brother and Luo Brother something new, haha.]
Di Zian was extremely curious. What was his sister planning to perform?
Ah Bao looked at Luo Zifeng, then at Di Zian sitting in a chair, humming a little tune.
It was the first time the two older brothers had heard Ah Bao sing.
As they listened, they unknowingly fell asleep. It was even more effective than a lullaby.
In the Taoist temple, Taoist Baiyun opened his eyes with a start, looking in the direction of the Luo residence.
He saw a dazzling white light faintly emerging in the sky.
Taoist Baiyun was overjoyed, “So, it can be done this way?”
The Soul Requiem and Summoning Melody!
He was hearing both types of melodies from a single person for the first time.
They were completely opposite. It was impossible for anyone without profound spiritual power to simultaneously control two such extreme melodies.
“It’s the eldest!” Taoist Baiyun was particularly excited. He grabbed his dust whisk and leaped out of the window, eager to find the eldest and learn.
Taoist Baiyun arrived very quickly. Following the melody, he found Ah Bao sitting on the couch, patting the little black beside her.
He wasn’t sure if it was just his illusion, but he felt that the little black, after staying with the eldest for a while, had become quite spiritual.
“Eldest.” Taoist Baiyun entered the room with a grin.
Knowing that Luo Zifeng and Di Zian were in a deep sleep, he tread lightly and didn’t want to disturb them.
“Eldest, are you performing a ritual?”
Since he entered the room, he had felt something unusual. He stood quietly to the side, hoping to learn something.
Ah Bao yawned.
[Performing a ritual late at night is quite exhausting. Better finish up and go to bed soon.]
Taoist Baiyun suddenly shivered. He seemed to hear an unusual sound near his ear.
But no one was speaking in the room.
The eldest hadn’t spoken either, only blinking at him.
Whose voice was that?
[Taoist Baiyun arrived just in time. There’s still someone needed to guard the right side of the door. He’s the best fit for the job. But how should I tell him?]
Ah Bao was mulling over this when Taoist Baiyun’s eyes widened. He had just heard the tenth princess’s inner thoughts!
“Eldest, I think this place is quite spacious. How about I stand here for a while and wait for you to finish? Just call me when you’re done.” Taoist Baiyun, holding his dust whisk, skillfully positioned himself at the right side of the door.
[Aiyo, Taoist Baiyun really understands me. The position is just right. Perfect!]
Praised, Taoist Baiyun silently lowered his head. He couldn’t figure out why he suddenly heard the eldest’s inner thoughts.
Today, everything was normal for him, except he was wearing an extra protective talisman.
Normally, he didn’t wear it, just thinking it might be useful to give to someone else in a critical moment.
Could it be that wearing the talisman drawn by the eldest allowed him to hear her thoughts?
Ah Bao was unaware of Taoist Baiyun’s excited thoughts. She sat beside Luo Zifeng, her fingertips conjuring a cluster of spiritual energy, which she placed on Luo Zifeng’s forehead.
She closed her eyes and entered Luo Zifeng’s dream along with the spiritual energy.
Taoist Baiyun stood at the door, astonished.
Entering dreams!
The eldest was only a little over a year old, and she already had the ability to enter dreams. Her cultivation…
He still couldn’t enter dreams himself.
Luo Zifeng, who was sleeping, had another nightmare.
In a pitch-black place, Luo Zifeng curled up, hugging his head and shivering.
There was no one around, no moon in the sky, and it was so dark that one couldn’t see their hand in front of their face.
He felt abandoned by the world.
In front of him, a red light gathered, slowly forming into a human shape. The figure wore a red robe, with fingers like green onions, twirling a strand of black hair in front of its chest. It had beautiful peach blossom eyes and unique features, like a distant mountain bathed in moonlight, exuding an extreme elegance.
He smirked wickedly, “Didn’t I tell you? Only those with different-colored eyes can see her. Now that she has appeared, why are you still keeping your special eyes? Dig them out! Dig them out!”
Each word was like shards of ice, carrying an unmistakable chill.
Luo Zifeng knelt on the ground, clutching his head and covering his ears, “Stop talking! Stop talking!”
The words were like a demonic chant, repeating endlessly in his mind.
His head felt like it was about to explode, and he was on the brink of collapse.
“Come, I’ll help you dig them out! Dig!” The man in red, although smiling, had no warmth in his eyes. He reached out with fingers that were deathly pale.
Under some kind of strange compulsion, Luo Zifeng obeyed him. The man lightly brushed his hand in front of his eyes, and two glowing eyes fell into his palm.
Luo Zifeng lay on the ground, seemingly relieved.
The man’s gaze turned sinister. Suddenly, he floated to Luo Zifeng’s side, grabbing his collar and putting the special eyes back into the bloody sockets.
