Chapter 86: Ah Bao Is Going to Get a Spanking
Di Zian quickly sat back down, hiding his face behind a book.
The teacher, an elderly man with a white beard, walked over.
Today, the teacher was quite surprised to see Di Zian sitting obediently, rubbing his slightly dim eyes.
Hmm… it’s indeed the Seventh Prince.
He began the lecture.
In the middle of the class, a “pfft pfft” sound emerged.
After a moment, pfft—
Pfft—
Everyone: ?
They all turned to look at the old teacher.
“Teacher, are you passing gas?” Luo Qiuyu asked bluntly, sitting next to Luo Zifeng. Today was his first day following his older brother to class. Previously, children as young as they were would be separated from their siblings, with other teachers lecturing them.
At Luo Qiuyu’s question, everyone struggled to suppress their laughter.
Even Lan Moxiu, who was sitting in the front row in his wheelchair, had his lips curl up in curiosity as he looked at the teacher.
Luo Zifeng quickly covered Luo Qiuyu’s mouth, “Teacher, it’s just innocent childish remarks, innocent childish remarks…”
Luo Qiuyu pointed towards the teacher, “Brother, listen, it’s the teacher passing gas—”
Pfft—
Clunk—
A small round object rolled out from under the teacher’s desk.
Lan Moxiu in the front row could see clearly that it was… candy?
The teacher immediately realized the truth, lifting the red cloth to reveal what was under the desk.
Ah Bao was sitting under the desk, fiddling with a small building block toy.
Ah Bao looked up, her bright eyes meeting the teacher’s astonished gaze.
Both the old teacher and the little girl exclaimed, “Ah!”
When everyone saw the ‘toy’ in Ah Bao’s hands, their eyes widened in shock. They quickly covered their faces, unable to look, thinking it was over for the little princess.
“Ah! My things!” The teacher exclaimed, jumping up from his seat. His swift movement was nothing like that of an old, frail person.
Ah Bao remained seated on the ground, holding her building block cannon, pouting her little lips, and aiming the cannon at the teacher, “Pfft—”
A piece of candy shot out.
It landed on the teacher’s robe.
Little Ah Bao was thrilled, bursting into giggles.
The teacher: ???
He crouched down, at eye level with Ah Bao, looking at the small cannon in her arms, “What… is this?”
“Pfft pfft—cannon—” Ah Bao made sound effects for the little cannon.
The teacher was stunned.
This thing was indeed his, but it hadn’t been like this before.
It was just a pile of wooden scraps, a defective item that he had studied for years based on ancient records, unable to figure out. How did this little toddler manage to make it shoot candy?
This thing had been unplayable before.
Even touching it would cause it to fall apart.
The teacher grinned, “Little girl, may I see what you have?”
Ah Bao thought for a moment, her eyes curving into a smile, and pointed at the teacher’s long beard, “Touch… touch…”
[So long, beard!]
[First time seeing such a long beard, hahahaha]
Di Zian, who heard the thoughts, was shocked. Oh no!
Ah Bao wasn’t planning to touch the teacher’s beard, was she?
Ah Bao was going to get a spanking.
Everyone at the academy knew that the teacher prized his beard above all else.
There had been an incident where the teacher discovered he lost a whisker during a nap. He hadn’t slept for three days, so enraged was he.
He had almost lost his temper.
In the midst of everyone’s horrified gazes, the teacher willingly extended his head forward, offering his beard to Ah Bao, “Touch it.”
Everyone: !!!
No.
Teacher, isn’t that your precious beard?
And now it was being grabbed, rubbed, stretched, and pulled by a little toddler—
Ah Bao didn’t handle it gently. She tugged at the teacher’s beard and ended up pulling out a small bunch.
Not just one, but a whole ten strands!
The onlookers sat shivering in their seats.
The little princess… was incredibly bold.
They waited for the teacher to explode in anger.
But—
The teacher’s eyes curved into a smile as he chuckled, “Little girl, is it fun?”
Ah Bao nodded, grinning, “Fun… cannon… here… Grandpa… see…”
Ah Bao continued to play with the long beard while handing the little cannon to the teacher.
The teacher examined it carefully, his excited hands trembling, “Little girl, you’re amazing! Wuwuwu, I really like you. You’ve solved a huge, huge problem for me.”
Ah Bao looked up at him, squinting and smiling, making a large gesture, “Big… big?”
The teacher, overwhelmed with joy, nodded vigorously and immediately picked up Ah Bao, “Yes, a big problem.”
[Ah, it’s just a little cannon]
[It was a defective item before, just needed some fiddling]
[So the teacher still likes to tinker with these things, a scholarly heart with a martial spirit]
Everyone watched in disbelief.
Their teacher seemed to have lost his senses.
He didn’t care about his beard and was endlessly praising the little girl?
“Teacher…” Luo Zifeng looked over, confused.
The teacher glanced at them, “Focus on your books! Don’t get distracted! Why are all of you staring so wide-eyed? You’re scaring the little girl. Be careful or I’ll make you all copy books!”
Everyone: “…”
Teacher, you’re something, you’re amazing!
“Wait, whose little darling is this? Why did she come to the academy?” The teacher slapped his forehead, finally remembering such an important matter.
Di Zian weakly raised his hand, “Teacher…”
The teacher glared, “Are you planning to ask for leave again?”
Di Zian blinked, “Well… my family’s…”
“What’s this about your family?”
“My sister. The little girl you’re holding is my sister! My sister!” Di Zian proudly pointed at himself.
The teacher asked, “Is this… the Tenth Princess?”
Di Zian nodded vigorously.
The teacher was startled. Looking at the now ‘repaired’ small cannon, he swallowed nervously, “So, it’s the Tenth Princess.”
The entire class was on edge for the rest of the lesson.
Before leaving, Ah Bao not only took a handful of the teacher’s beard but also collected all the candies that had been used as cannonballs, stuffing them into her small pocket.
Lan Jinjing waited until after class ended. Seeing the teacher come out, she hurried over, “Teacher, teacher, the small building blocks I saw last time, I have a way to fix them. Can I have another try?”
The teacher glanced back at her, “The item has already been repaired.”
“How could that be? Who understands these things better than I do?”
The teacher sighed, “There are always people better than you, and there are many talented people in this world.”
Lan Jinjing had been obsessing over this thing for half a year, coming to ask several times. The teacher had even let her examine it before, but she always claimed she could fix it, only to fail each time.
Now she was here again.
The teacher had realized that Lan Jinjing was simply not skilled in this area.
He no longer believed in her abilities.
