Transmigrated into the Apocalypse: Hoarding Ten Billion Supplies and Clinging to the Villain’s Thigh Chapter 11

Chapter 11: Trust and Care

The entire room fell into silence.

Shuxin’s words were simply too shocking. If everything she said was true, then this world was about to change drastically.

She had replaced the knowledge she gained from the book with what she had seen in her dreams. After all, the idea of transmigrating into a novel was too unbelievable.

She thought, no one would be able to accept that their real world was actually just a story written by someone else.

Even more so, no one could accept that their fate had been predetermined from birth.

“Does it sound absurd? I didn’t want to believe it at first either. But after following the method in my dream and successfully activating my space, I had no choice but to accept it.”

Right in front of Yan Mo, Shuxin waved her hand, making the water cup on the table disappear into her space.

The cup vanishing into thin air was an undeniable fact that defied all scientific explanations, shattering Yan Mo’s understanding of reality over the past twenty years.

However, his strong rationality allowed him to quickly accept the truth that the apocalypse was approaching. His mind swiftly regained composure.

“When exactly does the apocalypse begin in your dream?”

After organizing his thoughts, Yan Mo asked his first question of the night.

“I didn’t dream of a specific date, only that it would start around the end of June or the beginning of July, when the first rain falls.”

“So that means we have at most a month to prepare. That’s enough. What have you collected so far? How much more can your space store?”

In just a short time, Yan Mo’s mind had already gone through numerous plans.

“I have a list of supplies to collect. I’ll go get it for you in a bit. The first layer of my space is about half full, and there’s still a lot of room left. If there are too many items, I can move those that don’t need refrigeration to the second layer.”

Noticing the slightly puzzled look in Yan Mo’s eyes, Shuxin suddenly realized—she had never actually told him about the structure of her space.

“My space has three layers. The first layer is about the size of ten soccer fields, and time doesn’t flow in there. The second layer can support living creatures. I’ve already raised some pigs, ducks, cows, sheep, and rabbits inside, and I’ve planted many fruit trees. Unfortunately, I can’t grow vegetables or grains there. The third layer can’t store anything, but it contains a futuristic apocalypse-proof security base.”

Shuxin had thought this through clearly. She was definitely going to stick with Yan Mo in the future, and mutual trust was the most important thing. Hiding things from each other would only create barriers between them, and any misunderstandings could become irreparable.

Besides, unlocking the third layer’s security base required a massive number of zombie crystal cores, and she couldn’t do it without Yan Mo.

“A futuristic security base? What are the conditions to unlock it?”

Yan Mo raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by the base.

“I haven’t even told you there are conditions, and you already figured it out? Boyfriend, you’re too smart! I suddenly feel the unfairness of this world.”

Shuxin dramatically slumped onto Yan Mo’s side, and he effortlessly pulled her into his arms, as if he had done it countless times before.

After half a year of being together, Yan Mo had already grown accustomed to his girlfriend’s clinginess.

Especially since every time she acted spoiled, she would ask for hugs and kisses. He found it impossible to resist—he actually enjoyed her dependence and trust in him.

“The unlocking condition is energy from zombie crystal cores—lots and lots of them. But it’s not like the base is eating them for nothing. It comes with a security shield and a fully equipped defense and living system, which will save us a lot of trouble.”

“Sounds good. Once zombies start appearing, there will definitely be many scattered safety bases. Those places will be full of all kinds of people, and even their leaders will sometimes have to make corrupt compromises. If you can have a completely self-controlled base, I’ll feel much more at ease.”

Yan Mo held her tighter and pressed a soft kiss on her head.

“I’m planning to use the summer break to travel across the country, stock up my space with supplies, and collect local specialties and snacks along the way. Do you want to come with me?”

Shuxin leaned against his chest, wrapping her arms around his lean but strong waist as she shared her plans.

“Of course, I’ll go with you. Give me the supply list later. I’ll check if there’s anything missing, and I’ll prepare an extra set of everything. You can store it in your space too.”

“Why prepare an extra set? Are you trying to keep things separate between us? Do you not see me as one of your own?”

With a dramatic huff, Shuxin slipped out of his embrace, puffing up her cheeks.

“Silly girl, you’re overthinking it. It won’t always be just the two of us. When we have teammates in the future, the supplies I prepare will be for them. But the supplies you prepare are only for me. You’re my partner.”

Yan Mo helplessly yet fondly ruffled her hair and pulled her back into his arms.

“Hehe, I knew my boyfriend was the best~ Love you the most~”

Sweet words spilled effortlessly from Shuxin’s lips. Yan Mo had heard them countless times before, knowing full well it was just her way of coaxing him. But no matter how often he heard them, he still couldn’t help but feel soft inside.

All his principles and bottom lines became meaningless in front of Shuxin. He could never resist her pleading.

Oh well, she’s the girlfriend he chose. What else could he do but spoil her?

Yan Mo was extremely efficient. That very night, he reorganized a new supply list based on Shuxin’s original one and mapped out their travel route for the summer break.

He even arranged to obtain the firearms that Shuxin had previously failed to acquire.

Until now, Shuxin had never asked about Yan Mo’s family, and the novel hadn’t provided any details about his background either. It wasn’t until last night that she finally learned a rough outline from him.

Apparently, Yan Mo’s family had been involved in organized crime for generations. It wasn’t until his grandfather’s time that they started gradually transitioning into legitimate businesses. However, their education methods remained as ruthless as ever, almost like raising venomous creatures in a pit.

As a direct descendant, Yan Mo faced much harsher training than his collateral relatives or outsiders. He was expected to excel in everything.

He had grown up in a world filled with deceit, schemes, and constant threats to his life. The family never interfered with their children’s internal struggles—in fact, they encouraged them.

For Yan Mo to not only survive but also carve out a place for himself in that environment, it was clear he had exceptional intelligence, strategy, and foresight.

Now that she understood his background, Shuxin saw Yan Mo in a new light. She realized that the personality he showed in front of her was likely just a carefully maintained facade.

Maybe he wasn’t as perfect as she had initially imagined, but that no longer mattered to her.

What mattered was the real Yan Mo—the person standing in front of her.

Shuxin couldn’t begin to imagine the childhood he had endured. The past was beyond her control, but the present and the future were in her hands.
