Chapter 118 : Chaos
The northern bed was very warm. Liang Qingqing was lying on it in a thin nightgown, which Fan Yanxing quickly unbuttoned, leaving it hanging loosely around her elbows and exposing a large expanse of her snow-white skin.
The room was filled with the smell of alcohol, and it was even more intense from his scorching lips and tongue. In a daze, it felt as though a rich, intoxicating liquid was sliding through her mouth and down her throat, burning with a painful heat. Liang Qingqing felt as if she was about to be overwhelmed by his drunkenness, her breathing growing increasingly difficult.
Just as she was about to push him away, the man pressing against her suddenly released her.
Finally having a moment to catch her breath, she looked up to see him quickly stripping off his clothes. In no time, he was left only in his undershirt, which was already soaked and in disarray from being torn.
Because of his drunkenness, his usual sharpness was blurred, his cheeks had a faint flush, and his slightly tipsy eyes had a dreamy, hazy look with drooping eyelids. Seeing her gaze, he gave a smirk that, combined with his disheveled appearance, made him look both devilishly charming and sexy.
His fingers undid each rounded button one by one, revealing his strong chest and abs, with his V-line extending into his black underwear. Her gaze naturally fell on the pronounced size, and thinking of his prowess, she instinctively swallowed.
Before she could react, the man threw off the covers and dragged her by the ankle towards himself. Startled, Liang Qingqing let out a sharp cry, and the book she had been holding fell to the floor with a thud.
Pressed against him through the thin sleepwear, Liang Qingqing saw his fully exposed, muscular body and felt a flush creep up her ears. It was the first time she’d seen Fan Yanxing this drunk, and she didn’t expect him to be so wild, coming straight at her without a word.
Although he usually behaved similarly, today she felt a clear difference.
The word “danger” echoed constantly in her mind. But by the time she came to her senses and prepared to escape, it was too late. Her waist was firmly held, and just a few gentle strokes from his rough palms were enough to make her breathing erratic.
The ticklish sensation around her waist made her instinctively arch her back and curl her toes. Her flushed cheeks took on a more seductive hue, and her dewy, cherry-red lips seemed to tempt him to take a bite. He squinted, his eyes darkening as he suddenly leaned down, gripping her chin and biting her lips.
Liang Qingqing’s hands climbed up his broad, solid back, each muscle sharply defined, providing both a visual and emotional sense of security.
“You’re drunk,” she said.
“No,” he replied.
“You’re lying.”
“Silly girl, how could I be drunk? How could I still perform?”
He had only drunk a bit more than usual, his mind was slightly foggy, but he was far from being drunk.
His lingering, tender voice murmured in her ear. The next second, Liang Qingqing’s nails dug slowly into his skin. As she adjusted, she was suddenly lifted off the ground by him. Her pale, trembling legs wrapped around his lean waist, and she found herself in an even more chaotic situation.
“What are you doing? Get out, get out,” Liang Qingqing weakly slapped at Fan Yanxing’s arm, resting her chin on his shoulder. To stifle the moan that was about to escape her lips, she couldn’t help but bite down on his collarbone.
Fan Yanxing let out a muffled groan. “Relax, you’re biting me too hard.”
Bite,
Bite…
Liang Qingqing’s face turned crimson, feeling strangely that this “bite” was different from the other.
Given Fan Yanxing’s shamelessness in this regard, she thought he meant the latter. As a result, she didn’t relax at all instead, she became even more tense.
“Qingqing, really, I’m going to die,” he said, sweat dripping from his sharp jawline down to the corner of her eye, mingling with her tears at his temple.
She was the one who was about to die. With every step she took, she felt a soul-piercing suffocation, making her vision go white and her whole body go limp.
“Totally soaked,” he insisted on giving real-time updates in her ear. Angrily, she tried to slap him, but given her current state, the slap was light and feathery, more like a caress.
A soft laugh echoed in her ear, with a magnetic, husky voice and a pleasant, rising tone. Liang Qingqing didn’t need to look up to imagine his smug expression.
He always had this ability to get under her skin.
Fortunately, he didn’t seem to have any intention of tormenting her for long. After withdrawing slightly, he picked her up horizontally and carried her forward. It wasn’t until she saw the steaming hot spring that she realized his intention. Reacting faster than her thoughts, she tried to escape his embrace to run back to the room.
“I’ve already soaked during the day. I’m not going in again.”
“Just one more time, be good, just consider it keeping me company.”
What was she supposed to use to accompany him? Her life? Liang Qingqing shook her head vigorously, but he knew how to play psychological games. Even after receiving a rejection, he wasn’t flustered. Instead, he gazed at her with burning eyes. His handsome profile, illuminated by the dim light, looked like a seductive creature from the dark, drawing her step by step into a trap he had long set.
“If you don’t soak now, who knows when the next opportunity will come. Don’t you want to make the most of this chance, Qingqing?”
His hold on her tightened, as if he had grasped her thoughts, effortlessly swaying her firm resolve.
Fan Yanxing was right, missing this opportunity meant not knowing when the next one would come.
What would it be like to experience the hot spring?
Liang Qingqing couldn’t imagine, but once curiosity took root, it only grew, driving her to uncover the truth.
As soon as her body entered the hot spring water, a tall, even hotter figure pressed against her from behind. Liang Qingqing leaned on the thick towel laid on the edge of the pool, her long hair up in a bun, exposing her elegant neck and delicate collarbone.
The soft stone wall was warm from the hot water, so it wasn’t cold at all.
The repeated mingling of hot water, the panic-stricken reactions, and the frowning moans all blended into an indescribable allure.
The two of them didn’t dare to fool around in the hot spring water for too long. They quickly wrapped themselves in large towels and returned to the bedside. However, the process was even more disgraceful than what had happened in the water, they came as they went and left as they came.
The difference between the torment of life and death swayed in their steps, eventually fading away as the sky turned white with dawn.
That night was unprecedentedly wild. Taking advantage of the “effects of alcohol,” Fan Yanxing had coaxed her into trying many things she had never done before, which, upon reflection while sober, made her feel so embarrassed she could hardly face herself.
Looking at the unfamiliar ceiling, Liang Qingqing endured and endured, but ultimately couldn’t hold back. She kicked the man sleeping at the edge of the bed out of it, turned away with a huff, and said, “Send Chu Qi away. I don’t have the strength to go back.”
The kick was quite forceful.
Fan Yanxing rubbed his sore backside, covered her with the blanket, then used a towel to wipe the dust off his body before quickly dressing and heading to the door.
Just as Chu Qi was about to knock for the third time, the door was opened from the inside.
What greeted him was a refreshed face, seemingly having experienced something good. Chu Qi, who was still unmarried and naive, didn’t understand that this was the contented look of a man. He even asked, but the other party dismissively changed the topic “We’ll go back in the afternoon. You should go eat first.”
“Huh? Didn’t we say we’d go back in the morning?”
That’s why he had come to knock so early.
Fan Yanxing touched his nose and said, “The situation changed. I’ll call you when we head back in the afternoon.”
Hearing this, Chu Qi could only nod, “Then I’ll go find them to have dinner. Do you want to join us?”
“Don’t worry about us. You go ahead.”
After seeing Chu Qi off, Fan Yanxing closed the door and went back inside. Once his body warmed up a bit, he dared to lift a corner of the blanket and slowly move in. Just as his big hand was placed on her, it was swatted away. He didn’t give up, trying two or three times until he finally heard her impatient scolding: “Get lost, are you annoying?”
Hearing this, Fan Yanxing was not only unoffended but also smirked, “Holding you while sleeping keeps me warm.”
This time, she seemed too lazy to respond, neither moving nor speaking.
Fan Yanxing held her tightly until he heard her breathing even out. Only then did he dare to move his hand from her waist up, finally settling in and falling into a deep sleep, content with having his hand where it usually rested.
The two slept straight through until dinner time. After hastily filling their stomachs at the restaurant, they called Chu Qi and set off on their journey back.
After arriving home, the family was ready to rest. After asking about their trip and how much fun they had, they retired to their rooms. Since they hadn’t eaten much in the afternoon, Liang Qingqing felt a bit hungry after her shower, so Fan Yanxing went downstairs to make her a bowl of noodles.
“We’ll return to Changbei the day after tomorrow. How about we visit the Forbidden City and climb the Great Wall tomorrow?” Fan Yanxing placed two bowls of noodles on the dining table, handed her chopsticks, and asked.
Liang Qingqing nodded in agreement. This was something they had planned for a long time, but it had been postponed by various events, and they only managed to fit it into their schedule on the penultimate day.
The next morning, after finishing breakfast, they went out. The area around the Forbidden City was always crowded, with guards in military coats stationed at regular intervals to maintain order, providing a strong sense of security.
Liang Qingqing, munching on a candied hawthorn stick, excitedly took in the surroundings. Every alley seemed similar at first glance but had its own unique charm. Unlike the somewhat commercialized styles of later eras, the streets had a more vibrant, everyday feel.
Cyclists occasionally passed by, a little girl with pigtails ran around with colorful pinwheels, elderly men in thick coats gathered under a tree to play chess, and elderly women sat together, chatting and eating sunflower seeds…
Seeing many people building snowmen in an open area, Liang Qingqing pulled Fan Yanxing over to join them. Unlike in Daping Village, the snow here was thick and white, making it easy to form a large snowball.
She had him shape the snowballs while she searched for the snowman’s nose, eyes, and mouth…
Their teamwork quickly resulted in a large, impressive snowman that attracted several onlookers.
With red walls, green tiles, and white snow, and the beautiful scene, it couldn’t be more perfect.
