Chapter 57 You…you are so cruel!

The man half-kneeled on the ground. He tilted his chin slightly and observed Jiang Li. Fine beads of sweat slid down his facial lines, slowly sinking into his chest. ” Knowing that they were at fault, Ye Chen uncomfortably touched his nose again, silently enduring the doctor’s nagging, without saying a word. The doctor pulled out the arrow from Jiang Li’s body, and blood continued to flow from the bloody wound.  Ye Chen nodded in agreement and watched the doctor leave. Fortunately, Jiang Li didn’t have a fever or infection that night, which made Ye Chen, who was watching over her, feel relieved. Until the sky began to dawn, unable to resist the drowsiness, Ye Chen leaned over and fell asleep beside her. Not long after, Jiang Li, who was unconscious, woke up. Seeing this unfamiliar environment, Jiang Li was startled. Then she felt the pain coming from her abdomen and the man who was sleeping soundly beside her. She then remembered what had happened last night. She looked outside in a panic. The sky was already bright, a soft ray of sunlight shone in.

This made Jiang Li even more panicked. Although she didn’t know how long she had been unconscious, she still had things to do, she couldn’t waste any more time! She endured the pain in her abdomen, propped herself up with her hands and slowly sat up. Ye Chen, who was beside her, noticed the movement, woke up from his sleep, and looked at her with sleepy eyes.

“Hmm? You’re awake?” Ye Chen said to her in a hoarse voice. Seeing his face made Jiang Li angry, if she wasn’t in a hurry, she really wanted to punch him! Jiang Li glared at him fiercely, didn’t say anything, and got up to leave on her own. “Where are you going?” Ye Chen quickly stretched out his hands, pressed down on her shoulders, and stopped her movement. “Your wound has just been bandaged, you can’t move around.” “Let go!” Jiang Li glared at him angrily.

Ye Chen didn’t get angry, he looked at Jiang Li with a smile. “Why are you so bad-tempered, female? I stayed up all night watching over you, and you talk to me like that?” Jiang Li snorted coldly, and glared at Ye Chen again. “If you hadn’t shot me with an arrow for no reason, how could I have been injured?” Ye Chen was speechless, Jiang Li was telling the truth, he had no way to refute it.

 “It was dark and windy, I accidentally mistook you for an ordinary bird, how could I have known that you would turn into a female after falling from the tree?” Jiang Li was even angrier after hearing this. This man was completely belittling her weak spiritual power, making her no different from an ordinary bird. Jiang Li glared fiercely at Ye Chen, pushing him away.

Her whole body uncontrollably leaned to the side. “Be careful!” Ye Chen exclaimed, quickly stepping forward and holding Jiang Li in his arms. Her hands rested on his chest, the warm, soft touch made her fingers burn slightly.

 Ye Chen, who was holding her, was also stunned, his cheeks flushed, his whole body stiffened. The woman’s fresh scent hit him, and for a moment, his breathing became rapid. The temperature around him also became hot, he unconsciously curled his fingers slightly.

“What’s wrong? Why are you making such a fuss?” Qinghe, who didn’t understand what was going on, walked in with the medicine. Seeing the two of them hugging in the room.
