Chapter 1 Who said I don’t want to live anymore?
“Lin Yangyang! You better open the door quickly; this flimsy door won’t withstand a few kicks from me!”
In the seventies’ guesthouse, the man’s rough voice pierced through the dilapidated wooden door, directly into Lin Yangyang’s ears, who was still sitting on the bed upstairs.
Lin Yangyang’s heart suddenly tightened, and she almost instinctively jumped up from the bed.
Oh no! She had transmigrated into a book!
In the book, her illiterate and rough husband was at the door!
Hearing that cold and fierce voice, Lin Yangyang felt her vision go black.
She had just been working late and was bored, so she flipped through a few pages of a novel. When she saw that the name of the cannon fodder was the same as hers, she continued reading.
When she opened her eyes, she was directly in the book, becoming the male lead’s cannon fodder ex-wife!
At the age of eighteen, her younger brother got into a fight and injured someone. To make up for the compensation, her parents married her off to Lu Shiyuan, a soldier from the same village, for thirty yuan in dowry.
Within two years, Lu Shiyuan was promoted and became the regiment commander.
Lin Yangyang also gave birth to a son and a daughter.
The family lived in this family compound, and life should have been harmonious.
But Lin Yangyang was beautiful, the only girl in the entire village who had attended high school, and she was forced into marriage with Lu Shiyuan by her parents.
Lin Yangyang harbored resentment in her heart and didn’t like Lu Shiyuan at all.
She was unwilling to spend her life with this rough and tough man who didn’t even wash his feet before getting into bed.
By chance, she got in touch with He Chongran, her high school classmate.
After graduating from a prestigious university, He Chongran was introduced by his parents to work as a technician in a textile factory owned by a relative.
Unlike Lu Shiyuan, who was illiterate and rough, He Chongran was educated, ambitious, and talented. The love letters he wrote to Lin Yangyang were filled with tender poetry.
After secretly corresponding with He Chongran for almost half a year, He Chongran wrote in his last letter that his family was arranging a marriage for him and then disappeared, never replying to her messages again!
Lin Yangyang endured and endured, finally unable to contain her longing for love. Taking advantage of a trip to the county to buy supplies with her children, she left a letter, entrusted her children to a friend, and followed the address He Chongran had given her to the textile factory.
Lin Yangyang thought she was bravely pursuing love, but when she arrived at the textile factory, she realized that she was just a fish in He Chongran’s pond!
Just a toy he used to relieve his boredom.
He Chongran already had a girlfriend and was even about to get married.
Upon learning the truth, Lin Yangyang fainted at his engagement ceremony.
Back at the guesthouse, she died for her lost love, smashing her head against the cabinet.
Lu Shiyuan, who was outside the door, must have seen the letter Lin Yangyang left and came here in a rage.
After going through the plot, Lin Yangyang’s fists clenched, damn, love-brained people are all doomed!
“Bang!”
With a loud crash, the flimsy door fell to the ground.
Behind the door stood a tall man with a square, resolute face, covered in frost, as if he was about to kill someone.
Lin Yangyang was startled and quickly stepped back.
Mom, she was so scared!
“I’m telling you, this is a society ruled by law, killing is against the law.”
Compared to Lin Yangyang’s fear, the shopkeeper was furious and shouted, “Hey, my door! If you want to go wild, go somewhere else!”
“I’ll pay for it!” The man said through gritted teeth.
Hearing that he would pay, the shopkeeper rolled his eyes and immediately slipped away.
As soon as the shopkeeper left, Lu Shiyuan clenched his fists and glared at Lin Yangyang.
The man controlled himself. With his military physique, one punch from him would either kill her or cripple her.
Lu Shiyuan looked at Lin Yangyang’s delicate face, full of panic, and finally endured it, gritting his teeth and saying, “Lin Yangyang, if you don’t want to live with me, I’ll take the kids and live on my own.”
“For him, you even abandoned your husband and children and tried to kill yourself. You don’t need to humiliate me like this, I won’t cling to you!”
Originally, Lu Shiyuan didn’t want to say these words so decisively.
As his mother said, he was a stubborn person. Once he set his mind on something, he would do it without asking right or wrong.
He felt the same way about his marriage to Lin Yangyang.
He wanted her because she was young and beautiful, the most beautiful woman in their village for miles around. He also wanted her because she was educated, the only one in the village who had attended high school. He could talk to her and she could say some poems he didn’t understand.
Although she always called him a rough man, he didn’t mind that much. Her voice sounded good when she scolded him.
He thought that it was only natural for her to be a little high-minded because she was educated.
But now, she was willing to die for another man. What was the use of him liking her?
After saying that, Lu Shiyuan turned and left.
Lin Yangyang’s beautiful face froze, then she quickly grabbed his sleeve, “Don’t be so fierce, who said I don’t want to live with you?”
If they didn’t live together, what would she do?
Her voice was soft and tender, tinged with grievance.
It sounded like she was acting cute.
Lu Shiyuan’s anger subsided a little, and he cursed himself inwardly, what time was it, he was really lustful.
After a few seconds of silence, Lu Shiyuan narrowed his eyes and turned his head.
He looked directly into her sorrowful eyes.
Lu Shiyuan’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he gritted his teeth and said, “Don’t look at me like that!”
