Chapter 9
Seeing that Xu Leshu didn’t want it, Shi Tou withdrew his hand and happily took a bite.
Xu Leshu glanced at Ma Jinmei out of the corner of her eye without any expression. It seemed that this kind of thing happened often.
That’s right, she is the only mother in the family who favors boys over girls. Whenever there is something good, her youngest son is the first one she thinks of.
Her father listened to her grandmother and agreed with whatever her grandmother said.
After dinner, Ma Jinmei went to wash the dishes, while Old Lady Xu picked things out of the backpack and sorted out the things to take out.
“Nannan, except for the meat, are these things sold by pound?”
Xu Leshu came out of the bathroom and nodded: “Well, except for one watermelon and one pound of peach cakes, each family gets one pound, and Aunt Zhou’s family gets two pounds of meat.
Old Mrs. Xu shouted to the kitchen, “Jinmei, take the meat out of the cupboard.”
Ma Jinmei came out with the meat, her face a little painful: “Mom, let’s not take the meat, we’ve already bought so many things.”
Xu Leshu looked up at her, a hint of surprise in her eyes.
“Mom, this is a life-saving grace. Isn’t my life worth these two pounds of meat?”
Ma Jinmei was looked at by her daughter, and then she said, “It’s over…”
“That’s right. Mom was indifferent to my injury. Even though I was seriously injured, she let me go home from the hospital the next day. As a result, I fell into a coma again, and my condition worsened.”
Listening to her daughter’s accusation, Ma Jinmei opened her mouth but was speechless when she met her daughter’s calm eyes.
“Xiaoshu, Mom didn’t mean it. When I saw you woke up and ate a lot, I thought everything was fine and you should go home and rest. I didn’t expect it to be like this.”
Xu Leshu bent down and put the peach cakes on the table and ignored her.
Old Mrs. Xu took the meat and said, “You are so short-sighted. If it weren’t for you, my daughter wouldn’t have to stay in the hospital for so long.”
After they left, Xu Weiguo saw that his wife looked a little sad.
“You too, why are you always so short-sighted? I saved Xiaoshu, but you are still reluctant to give up just two pounds of meat. Every time you try to take advantage of that little bit of profit, you end up losing more.”
“Knock, knock, knock…”
“Is Shufen here?”
Immediately, quick footsteps were heard from inside. The door opened and the grandparents and grandchildren were seen standing at the door.
“Auntie Xiaoshu is here, come in and sit down.”
Xu Leshu looked at the people in the room, Uncle Zhou, Aunt Zhou, their eldest son and daughter-in-law, their younger son and daughter, and a little grandson.
Xu Leshu put the things she was carrying on the table: “Aunt Zhou, I’m so sorry that it took you so long to come. Thank you for sending me to the hospital in time last time.”
“Otherwise, I’m afraid I won’t be able to come to see you today.”
Shufen saw her granddaughter and granddaughter carrying large and small bags and looked at them with displeasure.
“Come on, aunt, what are you doing?”
Old Mrs. Xu took her hand and patted it gratefully: “They are not rare things. The child has always remembered them. She asked me to buy these things. If you don’t accept them, the child will be sad.”
“Yes, auntie, these are nothing. Auntie and Xiao Pingping are always so sweet to each other, and this is just a small token of my appreciation.”
“You kid, we’re neighbors, so you’ll lend a hand no matter what you see. Look how polite you are.”
After chatting at Zhou’s house for half an hour, Old Lady Xu stood up and said, “Okay, we still have to go to Zhao’s house, so we’ll leave first.”
“Sit for a while, it’s still early.”
Old Lady Xu smiled and waved her hand: “Go up early, everyone has to go to work tomorrow, we can go back later when we have time.”
Come. ”
“Well, that’s fine. Xiaoshu should go back and rest early too.”
After everyone left, they saw the eldest grandson looking eagerly at the cakes and candies on the table.
Smiling, she gave him an egg cake and said, “Eat it. Your Aunt Xiaoshu bought it especially for you.”
Shufen looked at the things on the table and said, “Xiaoshu is so polite. She bought so many things.”
Zhou Ping smoked and looked at the things on the table: “It’s a gift from the little girl, please accept it.”
At the Zhao family, Li Xiaofen felt a bit of a headache when looking at the things on the table.
“Aunt Xu, what are you doing? These old guys are here, and Xiaoshu just got out of the hospital, why don’t you take a good rest?”
Xu Leshu smiled and nodded: “I had a nap when I came back at noon, and I feel much better now.”
She smiled and looked at the two children beside her, then took out a few shiny hairpins and a small toy.
“Xiao Yu Le Le, sister bought this specially for you, do you like it?”
The two children looked at their mother but did not reach out their hands directly.
Li Xiaofen looked at the two children’s sparkling eyes and said, “Since your sister Xiaoshu bought it specially for you, then accept it. Remember to thank your sister.”
Xiaoyu took it shyly and said thank you, then she loved it very much.
What little girl isn’t attracted to shiny things, especially those worn on her head.
Xu Leshu looked at them. In fact, when she was arguing with Chen Meihong that day, she caught a glimpse of the Zhao family’s door opening a crack, but she was not sure if there was anyone inside.
Usually, Li Xiaofen, Zhao Guoping and their two children live there. Zhao’s mother usually lives in her eldest son’s house next door and only comes to visit from time to time.
Everyone was at work at that time, and if Zhao’s mother heard the noise, she would definitely come out to see what was going on.
That’s why she was sure that there were only two children from the Zhao family at home. Fortunately, she won the bet, and they also saw it.
Thinking of this, Xu Leshu looked at Xiaoyu and said, “Thank you, Xiaoyu, for testifying for my sister that day.”
Xiaoyu smiled at her shyly: “You’re welcome, sister is a good sister, Erya sister is a bad sister.”
“Huh?” There was a hint of surprise in Xu Leshu’s eyes.
she? Good sister?
Judging from the original owner’s memory, she was spoiled by Old Madam Xu and had a bad temper. She would look coldly at others if she was not satisfied, and would not consider other people’s feelings.
That’s why Chen Meihong said that she was arrogant and offended many people. This was exactly the same as her. It was just that a child said nice things about her, so she had to think that the original owner had been nice to this child.
Li Xiaofen chuckled and brought them two cups of sugar water: “I asked this little girl last time, I asked her if she was not afraid. She said she was not afraid if Sister Xiaoshu said so.”
“And Sister Erya grabbed her twice and threatened her not to tell us.”
“And Xiaoshu would give her candies and help her chase away the fat guy who bullied her brother.”
Li Xiaofen was furious when she mentioned this: “Chen Erya, she ran fast, otherwise I would have come to her house to argue with her. She actually bullied a child and usually pretended to be a decent person.”
Xu Leshu thought about it carefully and it seemed that one time when she was chewing candy and was going down the stairs, she tripped and bit her tongue.
I happened to see Xiaoyu playing there, so I gave her the candy.
As for chasing away the fat boy who bullied Lele, it was just because the fat boy bumped into her at that time, so she scolded him.
In the eyes of this little girl, she is a good person.
Xu Leshu chuckled, it was an accidental success.
When she returned to the room, a brown pill appeared out of thin air in Xu Leshu’s hand.
