Transmigrating into a Book and becoming the Big Boss’s Little Lover Chapter 13

Chapter 13: Xu Yueyao’s First Battle at School

Xu Yueyao stood hesitantly at the entrance of Imperial Capital University before finally stepping in. The moment she set foot inside, she could feel an air of prestige. In the center of the campus stood a fountain built from rare shell stones, its water droplets sparkling as they splashed, giving the surroundings an elegant and refined atmosphere. The teaching buildings resembled a silver-gray castle, exuding a luxurious golden glow from a distance.

As Xu Yueyao marveled at the school’s opulence, a limited-edition sports car, gleaming in a striking blue hue, pulled up in front of her. The owner of the car was a young man with a unique hairstyle, dressed stylishly, and carrying a confident smirk. A three-centimeter scar on his brow didn’t mar his good looks; instead, it added a rebellious charm to his demeanor.

“Xu Yueyao, you finally showed up?”

A name popped into Xu Yueyao’s mind as she looked at him. “Fu Xiaosi?”

Fu Xiaosi’s lips curled slightly as he was about to speak when a chubby middle-aged man in a white suit and glasses shouted from a distance, “Fu Xiaosi, you’re not allowed to park here!”

Fu Xiaosi turned to Xu Yueyao and said, “Wait for me in the classroom,” before driving away.

“Yao Yao!”

Xu Yueyao turned around to see Zhang Beilu running toward her. Watching the retreating sports car, Zhang Beilu asked, “Was that Fu Xiaosi?”

“Yeah, he just spoke to me. Am I close with him?” Xu Yueyao asked, trying to gauge their current relationship since she had no recollection of it.

“He confessed to you at the nightclub, remember? Did you forget?”

So, he had confessed, which meant their relationship hadn’t deteriorated yet. According to the novel, Xu Yueyao’s repeated rejections had humiliated Fu Xiaosi, leading him to bully her. However, now that she was publicly known as Zhan Shao’s woman, he would probably lose interest in her and wouldn’t lead the charge in tormenting her anymore, right?

With that thought, Xu Yueyao felt relieved. She linked arms with Zhang Beilu, smiling like a pair of close sisters as they walked toward the classroom.

Inside the classroom, the moment Xu Yueyao appeared, whispers spread among the students. An Zhiyi merely glanced up at her before continuing to read, as if the surrounding noise had nothing to do with her. Meanwhile, Xia Nuannuan watched her with a playful, mocking gaze, as if waiting for drama to unfold.

A strikingly beautiful girl with elaborate makeup approached her, followed by three other girls dressed in trendy but arrogant styles.

“Oh! Isn’t this Xu Yueyao? I heard you’ve been kept by a rich man. Why are you still bothering to come to school? Shouldn’t you be at home serving your sugar daddy?”

Gao Yuyan looked Xu Yueyao up and down. Dressed in a tailored British-style blazer with a pleated short skirt, a smoky gray blouse adorned with a delicate clavicle chain, she looked elegant and refined. Her slender neck and fair skin were particularly eye-catching. The skirt’s length perfectly showcased her long, slender legs, reminiscent of a character straight out of a manga.

Gao Yuyan frowned. Now she understood why Fu Xiaosi had suddenly taken an interest in her. For the past two years, Xu Yueyao had always worn long sleeves and pants, blending into the crowd unnoticed. But that night at the nightclub, Gao Yuyan had been present. She had seen the transformation—Xu Yueyao, dressed in a crop top and mini skirt, revealing her perfectly proportioned figure.

She would never forget the way Fu Xiaosi had looked at Xu Yueyao that night. Over the past few days, she’d felt relieved by Xu Yueyao’s absence, but now she was back, boldly displaying her beauty. What was she trying to do? Seduce Fu Xiaosi?

Xu Yueyao noticed Gao Yuyan’s expression darkening but had no idea that she had already imagined an entire melodrama in her mind.

Recalling the novel’s plot, Xu Yueyao knew that Gao Yuyan, as Fu Xiaosi’s devoted fangirl, had led a group of three other girls in bullying the original Xu Yueyao. The book described their cruel acts: cutting her hair, forcing her to eat chalk, locking her in the restroom, pouring water on her, slapping her, and even attempting to take explicit photos of her. They had only stopped because she had become Zhan Shao’s woman.

Xu Yueyao had no intention of suffering through that. She decided to use Zhan Rongxuan’s name as a shield. After all, they had a deal—she played the role of his diversion, and he would protect her. Xu Yueyao never let herself be wronged.

She looked directly at Gao Yuyan and said, “I am not being kept. My boyfriend is Zhan Rongxuan.”

Her words caused an uproar. After three seconds of stunned silence, the classroom exploded with chatter. Even An Zhiyi, who had been immersed in her book, looked up in shock.

Gao Yuyan was in utter disbelief. The social elite had recently heard rumors that Zhan Shao had a woman, but it was impossible that it was Xu Yueyao. How could this lowly girl have such delusions?

Gao Yuyan jabbed Xu Yueyao’s shoulder repeatedly with her finger. “Xu Yueyao, are you insane? Do you even know what you’re saying?”

Xu Yueyao calmly grabbed her wrist and met her gaze. “What will it take for you to believe me?”

Gao Yuyan smirked and said with disdain, “If you’re really Zhan Shao’s girlfriend, then make him show up here.”

“Rongxuan is busy these days, but I’ll have Zhan Feng pick me up this afternoon,” Xu Yueyao replied, thinking that while she couldn’t count on Zhan Rongxuan himself, Zhan Feng might show up—after all, the Zhan family had promised to protect her.

“Fine! But if you’re lying, you’ll have to streak across the school field. How about that?” Gao Yuyan laughed, her posse giggling along, as if they could already see Xu Yueyao embarrassing herself.

Hearing the word “streak,” Zhang Beilu grew nervous and grabbed Xu Yueyao’s arm.

Xu Yueyao looked at Gao Yuyan, wondering how someone could be this malicious.

She responded, “I’ll agree, but if I’m telling the truth, then the four of you must promise never to bully any students again. If you break that promise, you’ll shave your heads. Do you dare?”

The four girls exchanged uncertain glances. But Gao Yuyan, completely convinced that Xu Yueyao was lying, scoffed.

Gao Yuyan was the eldest daughter of the Gao family and had once seen Zhan Rongxuan from afar at a high-class banquet. He was elegant, distinguished, and exuded an air of nobility. A man like that would never associate with someone from Xu Yueyao’s background.

She didn’t believe it.

“I accept. Xu Yueyao, don’t regret this,” Gao Yuyan said arrogantly, lifting her chin. In her mind, Xu Yueyao was doomed. Zhan Rongxuan was the dream man of every woman in Imperial Capital, and even she didn’t dare to entertain such fantasies. Yet, Xu Yueyao dared to make such an outrageous claim?

“Good. The entire class will be our witnesses,” Xu Yueyao declared.

Despite her confident front, she felt a little shaky inside. She needed to call Zhan Feng later and find a way to persuade him. If he didn’t come, she was doomed.

The classroom buzzed with excitement. Some privileged young ladies and gentlemen egged them on, while others, who had once suffered at Gao Yuyan’s hands, watched Xu Yueyao with newfound admiration.

People began to reassess Xu Yueyao. The once unnoticed, quiet girl was now standing under the spotlight, shining like a radiant pearl.

“What’s going on here?”

Fu Xiaosi walked in from outside.
