She swore that the next time she ventured deep into the mountains, she would never complain again.
Carefully moving toward the lingzhi mushroom, Jian Xiu soon realized that it was much larger than it had appeared from afar.
“Keke, I think I’m about to strike it rich,” Jian Xiu said excitedly.
“This is just the beginning! Look a bit further down—there’s a cave there. I’m sure there are plenty of valuable things inside,” Keke replied.
A cave halfway up the cliff—no one would ever be able to enter.
Unless, of course, they knew about it beforehand.
Even then, just knowing about it didn’t mean they had the skills to find it.
That’s why Keke was certain there would be many valuable treasures hidden inside.
After all, in the deep mountains, the more well-hidden something was, the more valuable it tended to be.
“I see it! I see it! Wait a moment, I’m heading over now,” Jian Xiu said excitedly.
This time, it wasn’t just Jian Xiu who was thrilled—even Keke was equally excited.
“Hurry, hurry, hurry! Get inside and check it out!” Keke urged.
Hearing this, Jian Xiu leaped lightly and effortlessly into the cave.
The entrance was small and covered in moss.
Without Keke’s guidance, even if she had walked right past it, she probably wouldn’t have noticed it.
“Are there a lot of venomous snakes inside?” Jian Xiu asked instinctively.
“I don’t know right now,” Keke replied, still excited.
“What do you mean you don’t know?”
“The system keeps flashing alerts, signaling that there are treasures inside. I’m worried it might glitch, and then I won’t be able to detect potential dangers.”
“Huh? What should we do then?”
“What else? Just go in! Even if there are venomous snakes, can’t you dodge them? Don’t forget, you’re a top-tier agent! Where’s your reflexes? If you can’t handle this, how would you survive without me?”
Jian Xiu: “…”
She really shouldn’t have expected anything from Keke.
Sighing, she cautiously stepped further into the cave.
“Stop right there!” Keke’s voice suddenly echoed in her mind.
Jian Xiu halted immediately.
“Okay, now move to the right.”
Following Keke’s instructions, Jian Xiu took one step at a time.
The two of them worked in perfect sync…
Jian Xiu herself had no idea how much Keke had recorded into its system.
All she knew was that whenever Keke told her to stop, she stopped.
“Do you see what’s right in front of you?”
“What?”
“Walk up and take a closer look.”
“But I don’t see anything.”
“Look directly overhead!”
Following Keke’s guidance, Jian Xiu lifted her head slightly.
“Is that… a bird’s nest?”
“Not just any bird’s nest—golden swiftlet nests!”
In fact, Keke had only just detected them as well—it hadn’t noticed them before.
“Alright, alright! Wait a moment, I’ll grab them now.”
“Be careful when you collect them!” Keke warned.
As soon as Keke finished speaking, Jian Xiu sprang into the air.
With an agile movement, she climbed up, pulled out her dagger, and gazed at the shimmering golden swiftlet nests.
She could almost drool just looking at them.
Carefully, she scraped them off, ensuring not a single bit was left behind. Then she jumped back down.
After counting them carefully, she found there were eighteen in total.
This was another small fortune!
“Keke, is there anything else left to collect? If not, we should head back.”
Jian Xiu knew that while she was gathering the nests, Keke hadn’t been idle either.
She had no idea what Keke had recorded into its system, but she did receive alerts that new items had been stored.
“There are three more things—give me a moment,” Keke said.
“Alright, but you need to tell me where they are.”
“Move a bit more to your right.”
Jian Xiu obediently shifted to the right.
As soon as she moved, a triangular-headed snake suddenly sprang out from the shadows.
Startled, she widened her eyes in shock.
But before she could even react, the snake vanished.
Realizing what had happened, Jian Xiu immediately understood—it had already been recorded into Keke’s system.
“Alright, you can come down now. The last items should be near the entrance,” Keke said.
“Good, let’s head back then!”
With that, Jian Xiu walked toward the entrance.
This time, before she even needed to stop, Keke had already recorded the remaining items.
Back in the deep forest, Jian Xiu didn’t dare to waste any time.
She glanced at the sun’s position—it was just the right time to head back.
But as she thought about the pit at the bottom of the mountain, she instinctively quickened her pace.
“Keke, how many points did we earn today?”
“Relax, you’ve already paid off your debt.”
“Really?”
“Yep! And you’ve even saved up over thirty thousand points.”
“That much?”
“Thirty thousand is nothing! There are still a lot of points that haven’t been calculated yet. Once they all come in, you’ll have even more,” Keke said smugly.
This time, Keke was truly satisfied with its owner’s performance.
If she could continue collecting points like this on a regular basis, Keke might even laugh in its sleep.
Today alone had earned them hundreds of thousands of points.
And those were just the ones that had been calculated so far!
The more valuable something was, the longer it took for the points to be processed.
Even that black bear from earlier had been processed within an hour and was worth eighteen thousand points.
Among the things collected today, there were still six items left to be calculated.
If the system followed the same pattern, those six items could be worth hundreds of thousands—maybe even over a million points.
With those points, the fox could finally begin its training.
And, most importantly, once Jian Xiu spent some points, Keke could upgrade again.
Finally, no more debt weighing them down!
“Keke, do you hear that? It sounds like wild boars!” Jian Xiu asked excitedly.
Keke: “…”
It sighed internally—its owner really had no ambition.
She was still fixated on those wild boars.
Did she not realize the system was about to level up?
Once upgraded, the rewards would be far greater than a few wild boars.
Reaching the pit, Jian Xiu burst into laughter at the sight before her.
Four wild boars trapped inside!
Last time, there had been five, but two were piglets.
This time was different—there were fewer, but each one was massive.
Judging by their size, each must weigh at least three hundred pounds.
This was an absolute jackpot!
“Keke, can I store them in my supermarket now?” Jian Xiu asked eagerly.
“Of course not!”
“Why not?”
“Because these wild boars are still alive.”
“But that fox earlier was alive too! You stored it just fine—why is this different?”
“That’s not the same.”
“How is it different?”
“The fox will be treated with special medicine from the supermarket. Only with that medicine can living creatures be stored. Otherwise, they have to be lifeless before they can be placed inside.”
Jian Xiu: “…”
So, in other words, she had to deal with the wild boars first before storing them.
She sighed—looked like she had some work to do.
