Transmigrating into an Apocalypse Novel: Hoarding Ten Billion Supplies and Clinging to the Villain’s Thigh Chapter 12: Proposal

Since the night she confessed to Yan Mo, the heavy burden that had been weighing on Shuxin’s heart lightened significantly.

Anyone who suddenly finds themselves in a world on the brink of an apocalypse would feel immense pressure, and Shuxin was no exception. There had never been anyone she could share the burden with before, and her heart had never once relaxed.

Now, she had someone she could trust wholeheartedly, someone who shared her secrets, and walking down the street, the air felt fresher than before.

However, it was evident that Yan Mo had become busier recently. School hadn’t yet broken for the holidays, so their time together had already been limited, and now it was almost nonexistent, replaced by nightly phone calls or video chats.

A few times during their video chats, Shuxin could clearly see the dark circles under Yan Mo’s eyes.

She had even taken him to see the house she had prepared for the early days of the disaster. Yan Mo had found someone to renovate the interior.

They directly connected the two upper and lower apartments, transforming them into a duplex. The walls and floors were reinforced with insulating materials, and two of the rooms were demolished to create a gym to help them stay in shape during the disaster.

A few rooms were also turned into storage areas. Yan Mo planned to invite a few people to stay with them. To avoid revealing Shuxin’s space, they still needed to stock up on supplies in a way that wouldn’t raise suspicion.

Shuxin didn’t mind people staying with them. The more people, the livelier it would be. They might even be able to gather around a table for mahjong.

The interior changes couldn’t be seen from the outside, ensuring no one would notice anything unusual.

After discussing it, they decided to apply for a leave of absence next semester. They wanted to take the last bit of time to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and create some wonderful memories for the future.

Yan Mo proposed they go abroad to register their marriage, as they were both under the legal marriage age in China. With the impending apocalypse, they weren’t sure when order would be restored. When things eventually settled down, institutions like marriage registration would no longer be a priority. Since there was still a chance now, Yan Mo wanted Shuxin to be legally registered as his wife.

Without telling Shuxin, Yan Mo secretly had a wedding dress designed for her and even personally designed a pair of wedding rings, intending to surprise her later.

Once Shuxin finished her last exam, they boarded a plane to the northernmost part of the country, officially starting their journey to collect supplies.

Yan Mo had already planned out everything. Shuxin only needed to focus on looking beautiful, bringing her instant camera and plenty of film, and following along.

Since they didn’t need to return to school, their time together was even more abundant.

Everywhere they went, Yan Mo made sure to take Shuxin to try local specialties and delicacies, visit scenic spots, and have fun, not missing a thing.

On the last day, they picked up supplies from the warehouse Yan Mo had arranged, and then continued their journey to the next city.

The entire time, Shuxin didn’t have to worry about a thing. She just followed her boyfriend, enjoying good food and fun while collecting supplies, living the carefree life she had always dreamed of.

If it weren’t for the apocalypse looming, Shuxin would have gladly spent her whole life living this way.

After traveling around the country, it was finally the end of May, and the weather was beginning to warm up.

Their final stop was abroad to register their marriage, but before getting on the plane, Shuxin had no idea just how big of a surprise Yan Mo had prepared for her.

When Yan Mo covered her eyes with a black cloth, Shuxin paused for a second, then immediately relaxed.

“Why are you suddenly covering my eyes? Did you prepare a surprise for me? What is it?”

Shuxin tilted her head slightly, eagerly asking Yan Mo, who was behind her.

“Since I’ve already said it’s a surprise, how could I tell you now? Stand up and walk slowly with me,” Yan Mo said, holding her hand and leading her to a room that had been prearranged.

When the blindfold was removed, the shock she felt was something Shuxin knew she would never forget.

“Wow, what a beautiful wedding dress! When did you prepare this? I didn’t know at all.”

Shuxin rushed forward, her eyes sparkling as she looked at the wedding dress in the center of the room. Her joy and admiration were so evident that Yan Mo didn’t even need to ask.

Every girl dreams of having her own wedding dress, regardless of wealth. It’s just a pure and beautiful wish from childhood.

She had once imagined what kind of wedding dress she would have in the future, and in that moment, when she saw this dress, her dream wedding dress took shape.

No other wedding dress would ever compare to the one before her. It matched her desires and fantasies perfectly.

“If you like it, hurry and try it on. We’ll take our marriage certificate photos in it.”

“And you?”

“Of course, I’m going to change too. I need to match my princess,” Yan Mo teased, pinching Shuxin’s cheek before calling someone in to help her put the dress on.

When the door opened again, Yan Mo’s heart was completely stolen. His gaze lit up with the intensity of someone chasing a star’s trajectory.

The delicate criss-crossing waist ties highlighted her perfect figure, while the rose appliqué and lace blended together, creating a dreamy, ethereal beauty. Thousands of tiny crystals scattered across the skirt, making it shimmer like a dazzling galaxy.

Grace and charm mingled with a celestial aura, blending several contradictory qualities into a single person.

“My princess, will you marry your most loyal knight?” Yan Mo asked, kneeling in front of Shuxin and holding up the ring he had prepared.

Shuxin was caught completely off guard by this sudden gesture. She felt a wave of emotions that she couldn’t even begin to describe, and every word seemed inadequate to express how she felt.

Tears welled up in her eyes and slowly fell down her cheeks. She gently covered her mouth with her right hand, afraid of showing too much emotion.

She couldn’t form a complete sentence, only nodding vigorously to show her consent.

Yan Mo smiled and solemnly placed the ring on Shuxin’s ring finger, then gently kissed away the tears from her face before holding her tightly.

“The wedding may not happen, but everything else I will give you, leaving no regrets. Time is a bit rushed, but I designed the ring myself. I hope you like it.”

“I like it. I’ll make sure to protect it. What about the men’s ring? Let me put it on you.”

Calming her emotions while leaning on Yan Mo’s shoulder, Shuxin took the ring box from him and carefully placed the plain silver ring on his hand.

Their hands, now adorned with rings, were tightly held together, just like the two of them relying on each other.
