Shu Xin has been having restless nights lately and struggling with insomnia.

She’s the only one living upstairs, so for the past couple of days, she’s been leaving the door open while she sleeps, so she can hear any movement downstairs in time.

The noise from Yan Mo and the others fighting with Zai Xin Yuan in the stairwell on the 24th floor was quite loud, and naturally, Shu Xin was woken up.

Shu Xin didn’t rush out to check on the situation. Since Yan Mo didn’t come up to call her, there shouldn’t be any major issues.

She threw on a jacket over her nightwear and walked downstairs, sitting on the sofa in the living room, watching the surveillance footage while waiting for them to return.

As soon as Yan Mo came in, he saw Shu Xin sitting upright on the sofa waiting for him. He walked up to her and gently touched her face, “Why did you come down? Did the noise wake you up?”

Bo Xiangwen and Mu Qimai, upon seeing Shu Xin as soon as they entered, discreetly avoided any awkwardness and quietly slipped back to their own room. Living with a couple, these two single dogs were constantly stuffed with dog food.

They weren’t worried about going hungry. Even if there was no food, there would always be dog food for them.

Yan Mo rubbed Shu Xin’s head, bent down, and picked her up, carrying her upstairs. He gently placed her on the bed, and she clung to his waist, refusing to let go.

“Little clingy one, be good and let go for now. I won’t leave. I’ll go wash up and come back to sleep with you tonight.”

“Okay, you promised. No backing out,” As soon as Shu Xin heard that Yan Mo would sleep with her, she immediately released her hold on his waist and urged him to go wash up quickly.

Yan Mo, who was attentive and perceptive of Shu Xin, immediately noticed something was off with his girlfriend tonight. He couldn’t relax without seeing her, so he quickly washed off the dust and blood from the fight in the bathroom of her room.

Shu Xin, perhaps because she knew Yan Mo was in the same room and using her bathroom, couldn’t help but be distracted by the sound of water in the bathroom. Her mind began to wander with various inappropriate thoughts she had seen in adult literature, images of the male protagonist bathing and then doing certain things with the female lead, all of which started to appear in her mind. The worst part was that these images now included her and Yan Mo.

Shu Xin’s face turned increasingly red, and she tried to shake off the inappropriate thoughts, but it seemed like a futile effort.

This sense of embarrassment reached its peak when Yan Mo walked out of the bathroom in his half-open bathrobe. Shu Xin felt her body temperature rise to the point where she felt like she might explode on the spot.

Shu Xin quickly averted her gaze from Yan Mo’s chest, silently chanting in her mind, “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form,” in an attempt to calm her racing heart and quickening pulse.

However, Yan Mo, the man who had ignited these feelings in Shu Xin, seemed entirely unaware. He climbed onto the bed, and the clean, fresh scent from his bath immediately filled Shu Xin’s nose. It smelled so good, so familiar, that she couldn’t help but sniff it a few times.

“Heh~” Shu Xin’s small movement didn’t escape Yan Mo’s notice, and he let out a pleasant chuckle.

As she was close to Yan Mo, Shu Xin could feel the vibrations in his chest. His voice, coming through his chest, sounded even more charming and captivating than usual.
