The days of daily training were fulfilling yet monotonous, always needing something else to serve as a spice to break up the routine and prevent mental suffocation.

Early in the morning, a gunshot shattered the quiet sky above the neighborhood.

Yan Mo and Shuxin, still lying in bed, immediately woke up. Yan Mo quickly flipped out of bed and opened the curtains slightly to observe the situation outside.

Almost everyone in their building had already left. People knew that the world had changed, and as they went downstairs, they no longer tried to hide, fearing others’ judgment like they had in the past.

Gunshots continued to echo through the neighborhood, and after determining the direction, Yan Mo and his team quickly and quietly made their way toward the source of the sound.
