On Yao Yiyi and Ning An’s examination room.
Yao Yiyi quickly answered the following reading comprehension questions. She glanced at the surveillance camera and hesitated, but still threw the crumpled paper from under the table to Ning An.
Ning An was having fun doing the questions when a ball of paper was suddenly thrown at her feet.
She was stunned for a moment, and without thinking much, she picked it up and planned to take it to the trash can and throw it away after the exam. However, as soon as she picked up the paper, she heard a loud voice from behind, “Teacher!”
Yao Yiyi shook. She was still organizing her words and figuring out how to report herself, when someone suddenly yelled, almost causing her to sputter in fear.
“What’s the matter?” The invigilator looked serious.
“Classmate Yao Yiyi threw answers to Classmate Ning An. I suspect they’re collaborating to cheat.”
The student who reported it was also from Class 1. He’s very dedicated to his studies and hated others cheating, as it meant that the ranking that originally belonged to him might be taken away by others.
For a person who was obsessed with getting good grades, this was tantamount to killing his parents.
Cheaters must be reported!
“What?” Ning An looked confused. “I didn’t.”
She was denying it but was holding a crumpled paper in her hand. Her self-defense seemed feeble.
The invigilator took the paper from her hand, then opened it and read it. He didn’t immediately conclude that she was cheating. Instead, he took a look at her test paper and raised an eyebrow.
The other students all stopped writing. Seeing that the teacher’s expression looked wrong, they started silently eating melon.
“Teacher, I really didn’t cheat.” Ning An became nervous because the atmosphere was so tense, and her voice even took on a crying tone.
The invigilator glanced at her and continued to read her test paper.
“I really didn’t do it.” Ning An’s voice turned lower.
The invigilator nodded and said, “Continue doing the questions first.”
He put down Ning An’s test paper after saying so and turned to the other students, “Go back to your test papers.”
Ning An was confused.
However, Yao Yiyi was even more confused than her. Was this the end of the matter?
The student who reported everything was unwilling. “Teacher, they’re obviously cheating. How can you just let them go?”
The invigilator told him, “We’ll do a follow-up on this matter. Don’t affect the exam. You guys finished it first.”
The student who made the report was still not reconciled, but he didn’t dwell on it anymore and sat down to continue answering the test paper.
The invigilator returned to the podium and tapped on his mobile phone a few times. After a while, the class teacher of Class 1 came and called Ning An and Yao Yiyi out together.
The class teacher was holding the ‘answers’ to the reading comprehension written by Yao Yiyi while Ning An was holding her own test paper. Only Yao Yiyi had nothing in her hand.
The class teacher looked at the two of them seriously and said, “You still have a chance now to tell the truth. What’s going on?”
Yao Yiyi spoke first and said, “On the way to the exam room, Ning An cried and begged me to write the answers for her. I felt soft-hearted and agreed.”
“W-what?” Ning An was astonished. “When did I go looking for you? I didn’t even saw you when I came in the morning. I’ve never mentioned anything about this matter to anyone. Moreover, I will never cheat!”
Yao Yiyi asked back, “Why not?”
Ning An: “Because…… it’s against the rules.”
Yao Yiyi: “……”
The class teacher handed Ning An’s test paper to Yao Yiyi and said, “Ning An has already done the questions you gave her, and her answer is more correct than yours.”
Yao Yiyi was stunned and her face suddenly turned pale. Blood surged up to her brain, allowing her to sort out the current situation, but all she could draw up was blank.
The class teacher took a deep breath and asked seriously, “Yao Yiyi, what on earth is going on?”
“It’s Ning An……” Yao Yiyi’s words fell halfway through and she couldn’t finish it anymore. She hurriedly changed her tune, “It’s Chen Cha. She asked me to do this to cause trouble for Ning An.”
The class teacher was silent for a long time, extremely frustrated about this mess. Normally, since it wasn’t the college entrance exam, they could just admonish the students a little and let the matter pass.
However, the student who made the report made the complaint known to everyone and refused to give in. The school could only deal with it as soon as possible and give a result that could pacify the students.
He forced himself to calm down and asked Ning An to take her test paper and go back to continue the exam.
Ning An didn’t expect Chen Cha to be the one playing tricks. She just thought Chen Cha was a nice person, but this idea was shattered once again.
Ning An was in a bit of a bad mood.

The midterm exam seemed pretty easy to Chacha.
This school was an ordinary public school and couldn’t be compared to the difficulty of those key high schools.
It stands to reason that a talented student like Jiao Yushi, whose family was extremely wealthy, should attend a better school.
At first, he did go to a provincial key middle school. Unfortunately, he was bullied at that time and he fought back so hard that he beat his schoolmates to the hospital. The parents of the students went to school to cause trouble, so the Jiao family had no choice but to let him transfer to another school to avoid the limelight.
He could go back later on, however, Jiao Yushi didn’t want to.
He arrogantly stated that it would be the same no matter where he studied, and he could apply to any school he wanted.
So, his father, who was also very arrogant, approved of his idea.
Therefore, people in this school only know that his family background was quite good, but they didn’t know to what extent.
Chacha was focused in doing the questions and was fast. She had a good memory and could basically remember the parts that needed to be memorized after reading them two or three times. For more obscure poems, she needed to read them about ten times.
But she could remember it all if she wanted to.
She finished the parts that require memorization first and then did the rest of the questions.
Chacha calmly and quickly solved the questions she knows. Just as she was doing the reading comprehension, a figure blocked her light.
She looked up and saw that it was the invigilator.
