Lin Yue, a girl struggling at the bottom of modern society, fights to survive amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Her eyes, like twinkling stars in the night sky, shine brightly with love and resilience, never losing their luster despite the hardships life has thrown at her.

Orphaned at a young age, Lin Yue grew up relying on meager welfare assistance and the kindness of strangers. She dropped out of school early and took on various part-time jobs, from restaurant waitress to package sorter. Each job was exhausting, yet she never complained. At night, Lin Yue would return to her cramped, dimly lit rental room, dragging her weary body behind her. The room was damp and sparsely furnished, containing only a worn-out bed and a rickety wardrobe. Lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling, she felt lost about her future. That night, Lin Yue had a strange dream. She found herself in an ancient forest, surrounded by an air of mystery. An elderly man, dressed in traditional attire, approached her slowly. In his hand, he held a glowing jade pendant and said, “Child, you have an unbreakable bond with the past. This jade will guide you to the place where your destiny awaits.”

Before Lin Yue could ask any questions, she suddenly woke up from the dream. Rubbing her eyes, she dismissed it as nothing more than exhaustion playing tricks on her—just an absurd dream.
