Traveling to Ancient Times: Bringing Billions of Supplies to Raise the Villain’s Cub Chapter 89: Long Mo’s Decision

Long Mo… actually gouged out Lu Cuicui’s eyes!

The entire crowd froze, their breaths held in horror. The next second, Lu Cuicui’s blood-curdling scream pierced the silence, sending shivers down their spines. Her voice, filled with agony, echoed as she cried, “My eyes! My eyes!”

Lu Cuicui collapsed to the ground, clutching the gory, blood-soaked sockets where her eyes had once been. Her body trembled violently as she tried to push herself up with her elbows, utterly humiliated and helpless.

Long Mo, cold and expressionless, wiped the blood off his dragon claws.
He retracted his claws, restoring them to human hands, which he casually crossed behind his back. Yet his predatory gaze never left Lu Cuicui.

“Long Mo!”

The chief and the others finally snapped out of their shock. The chief rushed over and placed himself between Long Mo and Lu Cuicui, trying to prevent him from killing her outright.

Despite Lu Cuicui’s heinous actions, killing a female was a grave offense, punishable by exile and becoming a wandering beastmen. The chief was trying to protect Long Mo from such a fate.

Long Mo had achieved his goal. His face remained indifferent as he spoke in a cold, emotionless tone, “Chief, you all heard her. Hu Jiao Jiao is innocent. Everything was Lu Cuicui’s doing.”

The crowd slowly came to their senses, finally realizing the depth of Lu Cuicui’s treachery. The shock of it all left them reeling.

The chief nodded solemnly and reassured Long Mo, “Don’t worry. We won’t allow Hu Jiao Jiao to suffer any more injustice.”

Behind them, Ying Yuan observed Long Mo closely. His gaze was dark and thoughtful, filled with a cautious wariness. When did Long Mo become so ruthless and cruel? He hadn’t been this way before.

Ying Yuan’s eyes narrowed as he thought. Long Mo had been living outside the tribe for years, and it seemed that during this time, he had adopted the brutal and savage ways of wandering beastmen. Such a male was dangerous to keep within the tribe.

The chief, his face set in grim lines, turned to Lu Cuicui. “Lu Cuicui, we all heard what you just said. What more is there to explain? You’ve plotted against another female, slandered a fellow tribe member, and colluded with wandering beastmen to endanger our tribe. You are nothing but a disgrace!”

The chief’s anger was palpable. His face, weathered with age, seemed to sag even more, as though the gravity of the situation had deepened the lines etched into his skin.

Lu Cuicui, now blind and realizing the full extent of her situation, began to shriek. “You… you brought the chief here? You planned this all along, luring me into confessing!”

Recognizing the chief’s voice, her face turned ashen with terror. She crumpled to the ground, her disfigured face smeared with blood, completely defeated.

Long Mo remained unmoved, his icy stare locked onto her. He had nothing more to say.

The Chief’s face darkened further. Lu Cuicui’s own words were enough to prove that Hu Jiao Jiao had been falsely accused all along. The chief, thoroughly disgusted, made his decision.

“Take her away. Throw her into the Snake Pit.”

Such a female had no place in the tribe. Leaving her here would only bring further harm and unrest.

Two strong males immediately stepped forward, grabbing Lu Cuicui by the arms and dragging her from the ground.

“No! No! Don’t send me to the Snake Pit! You can’t do this to me! I’m a female!” Lu Cuicui thrashed and screamed, her blood-streaked face contorted with fury and fear.

As they dragged her away, her voice grew hysterical. “You’re all working with Hu Jiao Jiao! You’re all in on it! If you think killing me will save you from the wandering beastmen, you’re dreaming!”

Her maniacal laughter rang through the air, filled with venom and hatred. “Long Mo killed the wandering beastmen! They won’t let you live! Soon enough, you’ll all die! The females will suffer like I did, tortured endlessly, and you’ll all meet the same fate!”

Her curses echoed in the ears of everyone present, casting a dark shadow over the group. The gathered tribe members exchanged uneasy glances, their faces pale and grim.

“Take her away, now,” Ying Yuan growled, his voice cold and commanding. The two males nodded, hastily pulling the raving Lu Cuicui out of the cabin.

Once she was gone, silence fell over the cabin, thick and suffocating.

After what felt like an eternity, one of the males cautiously spoke up. “Chief, is what Lu Cuicui said true? Will the wandering beastmen come for revenge? What should we do?”

The other tribe members looked equally unsettled. Judging by Lu Cuicui’s words, the wandering beastmen were no ordinary threat. If they were as strong and numerous as she had implied, they could be a serious danger to the tribe.

“Chief,” another male spoke, his voice filled with concern, “Ying Yuan is supposed to lead some of our males to the coast to trade for sea salt. But if the wandering beastmen attack while he’s gone, we won’t be able to defend ourselves.”

“Yes, chief, we need to come up with a plan. We can’t just wait for the wandering beastmen to slaughter us.”

“Enough!” Ying Yuan barked, silencing the worried chatter. His dark eyes swept over the crowd, his voice filled with resolve.

“Chief, tomorrow at first light, I’ll lead the males to the wandering beastmen stronghold. We’ll wipe them out before they can make a move. Then we’ll continue to the coast as planned.”

His words were filled with determination, his tone brooking no argument.

The chief frowned, placing a hand on Ying Yuan’s shoulder. “That’s too dangerous, Ying Yuan. You’re not fully healed yet. You need to wait until you’ve recovered.”

The tribe couldn’t afford to lose someone as important as Ying Yuan.

But Ying Yuan shook off the chief’s hand, his expression resolute. “I’ve made up my mind, chief. If we wait for my injuries to fully heal, we won’t make it back from the coast before winter. That would be far more dangerous.”

He refused to back down. “They’re just wandering beastmen. I don’t believe they can bring down the sky.”

“But…” The chief’s face creased with worry.

Just then, a voice rang out from outside the cabin.

“Chief, there’s no need to worry. I’m here to help.”

Long Wu strode into the cabin, a confident grin on his face. He carried himself with an air of ease, as if the concerns of the tribe meant little to him.

“Long Wu?”

“The dragon beastman? He must be really strong…”

“With him on our side, we stand a chance against the wandering beastmen!”

“Thank goodness for Long Wu…”

The tension in the room eased as the tribe members whispered among themselves, relieved by the presence of the powerful dragon beastman.

Ying Yuan’s brow furrowed in displeasure as he looked at Long Wu. These dragon beastmen-first Long Mo and now this arrogant fool-were nothing but trouble.

Long Wu basked in the attention, his smile growing wider as he enjoyed the admiring glances thrown his way. But then, he turned to Long Mo, his expression sly.

“By the way, Long Mo, those wandering beastmen almost took your mate, didn’t they? And they teamed up with that female to try to kill her. Surely you won’t just let that go? Are you going to join us in wiping them out?”
