Chapter 5
Mingshu didn’t meet anyone on the way out. At this time, people were either at work or taking a nap, so Mingshu went straight to the third floor of the next door tube building and knocked on Director Wu’s door.
“Who is it?” Director Wu also raised his injured hand, opened the door and saw Ming Shu. He thought of the cruel knife skills and took a step back in fear.
“What are you doing here?” he said as he walked out of the house and looked around to see that no one was around. He didn’t dare to go in.
Seeing him like that, Ming Shu went into the room and turned to Director Wu outside and said coldly, “Come in.”
Director Wu saw her expression and was afraid that she would pull out the knife again, so he had to go into the house, but the door was not closed. “What’s going on?”
“You and my adoptive mother drugged and raped me, and you said I would sue you for being a hooligan. I wonder if you can continue to work as a director.” Ming Shu’s deep eyes were filled with a half-smile as she glanced at the man in front of her.
“You have no evidence,” Director Wu sneered as he looked at the girl’s clear eyes.
Ming Shu raised her head and motioned him to look at the knife wound on her hand. “This is the same knife wound as my adoptive mother’s. Can you explain it clearly?”
Director Wu looked down at his wound and pondered. He was not afraid that Mingshu would sue him, but he was afraid that she would make the matter worse.
In addition, he has harmed many people over the years. They are temporarily suppressed by money and know that they cannot defeat him, so they don’t make a fuss. However, he also knows that those people must hate him secretly.
Then take this opportunity to attack together.
He, as the big director, is definitely finished.
Thinking of this, he looked up at Ming Shu, not knowing what she meant. “Just tell me what you want.”
“I originally wanted to beat you up, but I decided not to. With my strength, I’m afraid I would beat you to death, and I don’t want to cause any death, so I want a thousand yuan in compensation, and some national tickets of various kinds,” Ming Shu said directly.
Director Wu thought of her ruthlessness that day and felt a little scared. He looked into her eyes suspiciously and said, “That’s all. Don’t work.”
“If I want a job, will you give it to me?” Ming Shu sneered.
Director Wu remained silent. Of course, the money was better, as jobs were in high demand right now. A job would earn him a big favor. If he made good use of it, he could easily earn back the thousand yuan.
“You won’t come here again!”
“Your wound will be healed in half a month. Are you still afraid of my threat?” Ming Shu said, looking at his wound. Then she saw a flash of light in his eyes.
“Director Wu, don’t try to deny it. I don’t have the patience for half a month.” “Contempt appeared in Ming Shu’s eyes. She pinched a piece of the table corner with a little force and crushed it to pieces. Sawdust flew from her white and tender hands to the ground.
Director Wu’s pupils suddenly shrank, and he broke out in a cold sweat because of his previous thoughts. “I’ll give it to you, right now,” he hurried back to the room, took out a thousand yuan, and handed a stack of bills to Mingshu.
Ming Shu took the money and ticket and put them into her pocket space. Without saying anything to him, she stood up and left.
When she reached the door, she turned back and said to him, “Lin Wanmei is my adoptive mother, she has no control over me.” Then she turned and left.
No wonder Director Wu gritted his teeth and secretly hated Lin Wanmei and her husband after hearing Mingshu’s last words.
Mingshu returned home,
She went directly to Lin Wanmei and asked her for her household registration book
Lin Wanmei frightenedly took out the household registration booklet and handed it to Mingshu, hesitating to speak, and finally asked, “What do you want the household registration for?”
Ming Shu took the household registration book and casually said “go to the countryside”
Lin Wanmei was delighted when she heard the words “going to the countryside.” Her expression suddenly changed, and she hurriedly caught up with Mingshu, “Are you signing yourself up to go to the countryside?”
“If you’re not signing up for myself, are you signing up for your sons to go to the countryside? I’m not that bored,” Mingshu said as they walked.
“Then I’ll go with you.” Lin Wanmei had now forgotten her fear of Mingshu, fearing that she would send her sons to the countryside in revenge.
Mingshu didn’t care what Lin Wanmei thought. She strode towards the Youth League Office.
Mingshu went to the Youth League Office and saw several staff members sitting there chatting. She went up to them and said, “I’m here to sign up to go to the countryside.”
Several staff members stopped and looked at Ming Shu and Lin Wanmei, and were amazed that in this day and age there are still people who voluntarily sign up to go to the countryside.
One of the staff members took the household registration booklet from Ming Shu and glanced at it casually. He lowered his head to register and said, “If you come early to register now, you can choose a place. Later on, you will be forced to be assigned a place.”
“Where do you want to go to the countryside?”
“I choose Heilongjiang Province,” Mingshu said without hesitation.
“Huh?” The staff member looked up at Ming Shu in surprise, then at Lin Wanmei. He thought the girl would choose someone nearby, so he kindly reminded her again, “Heilongjiang Province is very far away, and it takes several days and nights to take the train, and it’s very cold.”
“Thank you,” Mingshu said.
Seeing that the girl was determined and her mother had no intention of stopping her, the staff member registered her information.
He pulled out an envelope and a piece of paper from the drawer. “This is the 200 yuan subsidy for educated youth, the train ticket, and the letter of introduction. Keep it. You’ll be boarding the train in five days. It’s very cold in Heilongjiang Province in the winter, so go back and be prepared.”
“Okay, I understand, thank you.” Ming Shu put the letter of introduction and train ticket into her pocket, actually into her space, and handed the household registration booklet to Lin Wanmei.
Lin Wanmei took the household registration book and felt relieved.
But when she saw the two hundred yuan, she wanted to open her mouth, but then she thought that Mingshu would not listen to her now, so she shut up completely.
After dinner in the evening, Ming Shu sat at the table, knocked on the table, and called everyone
Now everyone in the family is a little afraid of Mingshu, even her uncle Minghai avoids her.
Ming Shu doesn’t care what these people think. “I have already signed up to go to the countryside.”
Minghai and Mingxin looked at each other and breathed a sigh of relief. Since one of their family members went to the countryside, their son (he) would not have to go to the countryside either.
“Life in the countryside is hard, so now you have to give me some compensation.” Ming Shu sneered when she saw them trying hard to hold back their laughter.
“Don’t you have a 200 yuan subsidy today? We’ve used up all the money your biological parents sent us, so how can we have any money for you?” Lin Wanmei became anxious when she heard that her adopted daughter was actually asking them for money.
Seeing her adoptive mother’s anxious look, Ming Shu was too lazy to look at her adoptive father and said, “Uncle, you think so too.”
“Mingshu, there is really no money at home. The little money your parents sent was all spent on you, with no money left.” Minghai said in a deep voice with his head down.
“If I don’t have any money, then my parents must have some!” Ming Shu then revealed her real purpose.
“Your parents work in a confidential unit. Every time they receive a letter, they burn it after reading it. They never keep a single one.” Minghai lowered his eyes, a hint of panic flashing in his eyes, but he calmed down afterwards.
“There must be phone numbers, addresses and the like!” Ming Shu chuckled.
“No, it’s always your parents who take the initiative to write to us, and then we get their information,” Minghai shook his head.
Mingshu stared at him without saying a word, making him sweat profusely. “Guess whether I believe it or not,” she said, standing up and walking back to the small dark room.
