Turned Into a Cannon Fodder daughter? I Cut Ties and Moved to the Countryside! Chapter 2

Chapter 2 : Death of the original owner

Half a year ago, Li Yinyin came to Beijing to take care of her injured brother, Li Mingqiang. She happened to encounter Tang Lingxue, who had been knocked down and injured, and kindly helped her to the hospital. A series of events followed.

After Li Yinyin was brought back to the Shu family, her household registration was also transferred back to the Shu family. When the family registered her household, they asked her what name she wanted to change to. She said she wanted to be as smart, beautiful, and capable as her mother. From then on, Li Yinyin changed her name to Shu Ruxue.

Shu Ruxue (Li Yinyin) had her own job, and the Shu family still allowed her to live at home, giving her parents a sum of money as compensation for raising their biological daughter Shu Ruxue all these years.

The original owner (Shu Siying), an 18-year-old girl, suddenly faced such a situation and was very upset and uneasy. She was reluctant to leave the family who had always loved her and did not want to be separated from them. She was very grateful to be allowed to stay and became more cautious.

After Shu Ruxue returned home, she not only provoked conflicts with the family but also often framed the original owner. No one believed to the original owner’s explanations, they unconditionally trusted Shu Ruxue.

In the past six months, due to Shu Ruxue’s repeated instigations and framing, the family’s once shallow affection for the original owner completely disappeared. They only looked at her with disgust and dislike.

Seeing such unfamiliar family members, she felt helpless and sad. She thought of her fiancé, Shen Subai. The two grew up together and had a very good relationship. So she went to find him, hoping to get comfort and guidance.

But when she saw him walking closely with Shu Ruxue, she immediately broke down and confronted him. He said his fiancée was the daughter of the Shu family, not the fake daughter, and told her not to be delusional. His tone was extremely contemptuous and insulting.

The original owner returned to the Shu family in despair. Unable to bear the continuous blows, she fainted in the living room.

When she woke up, she found herself still lying on the cold floor but saw her mother sitting on the sofa, comforting the crying Shu Ruxue softly. Shu Ruxue claimed that the original owner had seduced Su Mubai and scolded and beat her.

The original owner also noticed the slap marks on Shu Ruxue’s face, but she never hit her. Shu Ruxue wanted to frame the original owner and had actually hit herself.

Seeing the original owner awake, Tang Lingxue looked at her coldly and angrily stepped forward to slap her, saying she had a vicious heart. She had enjoyed her daughter’s blessings for 18 years but was ungrateful, beating and scolding her daughter viciously, and now shamelessly wanted to snatch her daughter’s marriage.

No matter how the original owner explained, no one believed her. Tang Lingxue was convinced the original owner was guilty and did not let her sit at the table to eat. Such things happened frequently.

This time, the scars on her body from being whipped were caused by Shu Ruxue deliberately falling down the stairs. She framed the original owner by deliberately pushing her, trying to kill her and take her place. She was whipped by Tang Lingxue.

In fact, when the original owner fell down the third step of the stairs in despair, Shu Ruxue appeared arrogantly in front of her and provoked her. Fortunately, the original owner did not fall for it, but Shu Ruxue still deliberately fell down the stairs and falsely accused the original owner of pushing her down, hoping to kill her so she could take over everything.

The original owner was very aggrieved and said she did not push Shu Ruxue, Shu Ruxue fell on purpose to frame her.

But no one in the family believed her, calling her ungrateful and vicious. They said her job originally belonged to Shu Ruxue, and if it weren’t for the family’s training, she wouldn’t have passed the exam to get the job. They said she was vicious and incorrigible.

Tang Lingxue looked at the scratch on Shu Ruxue’s forehead and whipped the original owner. She had never been beaten like this before. Rolling on the ground in pain, she cried out for mercy, “Mom, it hurts, please stop, please stop.”

“Don’t call me mom, I’m not your mom. You’re a vicious and lowly country bumpkin. How dare you call me mom?” Tang Lingxue’s attacks on the original owner grew even harsher.

“Grandpa, Dad, Mom, please forgive me! I really didn’t hurt Shu Ruxue.” The original owner hated Shu Ruxue at this moment. She hated the cruelty of her adoptive family, but considering the eighteen years they had raised her and her own situation, she did not fight back.

“Heh! You little bitch, still quibbling? You actually want to snatch my daughter’s marriage. Shen Subai is Ruxue’s fiancé, and you still have the nerve to think otherwise? Don’t you think you’re worthy? Now you want to kill my daughter. I’ll beat you to death, you vicious bitch.” Tang Lingxue, seeing her obedient biological daughter, regarded the original owner as ungrateful.

“Mom, don’t beat her. I don’t think Sister Siying pushed me down the stairs on purpose. She just loves Brother Mubai too much and cares too much about you…” Shu Ruxue interjected.

“She has enjoyed the blessings of eighteen years in this home. Even though she knows she’s not my biological daughter, we still kept her. What more could she want? Now she wants to kill you. That’s just wishful thinking and extremely vicious.” After Shu Ruxue’s words, Tang Lingxue hit even harder.

Grandpa Shu Zhisheng, father Shu Guofeng, and brother Shu Chengzhi all looked at the original owner with cold eyes. No one stepped forward to stop the beating. They watched silently.

The original owner listened to the heart-piercing words from the mother who once loved her. The pain in her heart was no less than the pain in her body. The cold stares of her grandfather and father made her faint in despair.

When she woke up, she was at the edge of the world. She looked at herself lying on the bed, her whole body was burning with fever, with no blanket covering her. No one had sent her to the hospital for treatment. Tsk tsk, this family was truly cold-hearted. They raised the original owner for 18 years but were so cruel.

They knocked her unconscious but did not take her to the hospital. A young girl like the original owner died of fever, alone and resentful.

Yun Siying examined her current body. Except for her face, her entire body was covered with scars left by the whip, with some pinch marks as well. Her eyes were deep.

God had been kind to her and given her a chance to live again. Although supplies were scarce, thankfully there were no zombies or mutant plants and animals. She didn’t have to be chased by monsters every day or constantly search for food.

Yun Siying thought about Shu Ruxue and Tang Lingxue’s appearance, they were really similar. She wanted to see if these two who looked so alike were really mother and daughter. She remembered the paternity test potion she had developed in her space.

If blood from a biological father or mother was dropped into the potion, it would turn red. If blood from biological siblings was dropped, it would turn blue. If blood from completely unrelated people was mixed, the potion would turn green.
