Li Minglang, hiding in the distance, was startled by the sounds. The screams were familiar. Growing uneasy, he crept toward the source of the noise. When he arrived, he was horrified by what he saw: Yun Siying standing there, whipping the five men he had hired to intimidate her.

Watching them roll and wail on the ground in agony, he knew they had been seriously injured. Terrified, he turned and fled the forest without a second thought, afraid that if he lingered even a moment longer, Yun Siying would notice him and he wouldn’t be able to escape.

Seeing the whip marks all over their bodies, Yun Siying finally felt satisfied and stopped. She then asked coolly, “So, brothers was that exciting enough for you?”

“It was! Please have mercy and let us go! We were hired by Li Minglang to scare you and force you to hand over your money. We swear we’ll never do it again!”

“Really?” Yun Siying narrowed her eyes at them, though she had already guessed who was behind it.
