Chapter 51 : Tensions

Seeing that her work points had been recorded, Yun Siying smiled with satisfaction. She glanced at Shu Ruxue, who was cleaning away grass roots and stones, and the fingers hidden in her sleeves moved slightly.

Shu Ruxue was suddenly tripped by the grass roots, fell forward, and hit the ground hard. Her teeth struck the stones that had just been dug out, and her two front teeth were knocked out.

Li Dazhuang was surprised when he saw someone approaching from a distance. No one normally dared to come this deep into the forest, especially not a female comrade. Was she here to deliver food to those big guys?

When the person got closer, he saw her face clearly and shouted in shock, “You violent woman! Why are you here?”

Li Dazhuang burst out laughing when he heard this. He wanted to see just how capable this woman really was, so he said, “Brother Jiang, she’s the violent woman who threw me off the train. She’s super strong, not like a woman at all.”

Jiang Aimin looked at Yun Siying with surprise, and was instantly struck by her beauty. How could such a delicate, fair, and graceful comrade be as dangerous as Dazhuang claimed?

He couldn’t imagine how a 1.60-meter-tall young woman could toss a 1.85-meter-tall strong man like Li Dazhuang off a train. But recalling the exchange between the two just now, she hadn’t denied it either.

Yun Siying shot Li Dazhuang a cold glare. “I’m not a woman? Then what are you?”

“I’m a man!” Li Dazhuang puffed up with anger, jumping up and down. His instincts were right this woman was his nemesis.

Yun Siying asked, “Which brigade are you from?”

Li Dazhuang immediately replied with pride, “Hmph! We’re from Hongxing Brigade. My eldest brother is Jiang Aimin, and his uncle is the brigade captain of Hongxing.”

“What’s there to be proud of? Your father isn’t the captain.” Yun Siying didn’t expect that these two were actually from the same brigade as her.

“Then who are you? What are you doing so deep in the mountains? You’re not a human trafficker, are you?” Li Dazhuang countered, puffing out his chest.

“Sorry to disappoint you. I’m a newly assigned educated youth in Hongxing Brigade. And if I were a human trafficker, you’d be the first one I’d sell.” Yun Siying’s smile grew even more provocative as she looked directly at him.

“You’re actually an educated youth from our brigade? What kind of sin did I commit to deserve this?” Li Dazhuang’s eyes bulged in disbelief, his expression filled with dismay.

Yun Siying ignored them and continued walking forward. She hadn’t gotten the meat she wanted for dinner yet, there was no way she’d turn back halfway.

Li Dazhuang saw her heading deeper and jogged after her, asking, “There really are fierce beasts in the inner mountain areas. What are you going in for?”

“Is it wrong to crave meat?” Yun Siying didn’t hide her intentions. The supernatural energy in her body was still circulating, and training in the mountains was twice as effective. She scanned her surroundings while playing with a few stones in her hand, looking as relaxed as if she were simply taking a stroll.
