Turned Into a Cannon Fodder daughter? I Cut Ties and Moved to the Countryside! Chapter 80

Chapter 80 : Accidentally Entering the Human Traffickers’ Den

Nangong Ruochen didn’t expect to meet her here. He didn’t know how she came up with that strange outfit, but the moment she bumped into his arms, he smelled the faint floral scent on her body and recognized her. Feeling her struggle, he whispered, “Siying, don’t be afraid, it’s me, Ruochen.”

After hearing him, Yun Siying stopped struggling and looked back. Oh my god! A few Red Guards were chasing them from behind. As they ran, they ended up at a dead end. The two looked at each other, and one helped the other climb over the wall into a yard.

Two strong men heard the noise and ran over to surround them. “Stop, who are you?” After they finished speaking, five or six big men ran out of the house, all holding wooden sticks. The scene was quite intimidating.

“Brothers, do you believe me if I say we walked into the wrong yard?” Yun Siying said, releasing her mental power. My God! They had run into a human trafficking den. About thirty people were in the basement of the house, both men and women. The boys were basically children, and the girls ranged in age.

“It’s good we came to the wrong place! Then we’ll all stay here, and start.” A wretched big man looked at Yun Siying’s curvy figure, swallowed his saliva, and laughed.

The two of them fought, with fast, precise, and ruthless moves. Nangong Ruochen’s style was gentler, while Yun Siying’s moves were more ruthless, striking faces, breaking legs, or hitting vital points. Within ten minutes, all eight big men in the yard had fallen, their faces twisted in pain and screams.

Nangong Ruochen’s mouth twitched. He didn’t expect Siying’s moves to be so ruthless, even somewhat merciless and inhumane.

“There are thirty people in the basement, and they seem trafficked. Should we call the police?” Yun Siying said, as she always reported any situation she investigated during the end of the world. It was a habit, but she regretted saying it immediately, thinking whether to kill Nangong Ruochen and these men together but then she realized she couldn’t bear to let Nangong Ruochen die and bowed her head briefly.

“First tie these people up, then we’ll check the basement.” Nangong Ruochen noticed Siying’s change and was shocked by her ability. Whether it was true or not would be confirmed shortly.

Nangong Ruochen ran inside and quickly found a rope. He tied the men one by one and gagged them.

“Siying, lead the way.” Yun Siying glanced at Nangong, walked ahead, and soon found the basement. Nangong Ruochen was so shocked by what he saw inside he was speechless. There were exactly thirty people no more, no less.

If he didn’t know the situation, he would have thought Siying must have been here before. Her skills were beyond his understanding.

The people inside looked at the two strangers and shrank back in panic. Fear and numbness were in their eyes. Yun Siying didn’t know how to comfort them, her emotions were muted, as such scenes were common and she was used to them.

Even more heartbreaking were other things, parents selling their children for bread or water, husbands selling wives, boyfriends selling girlfriends, best friends selling each other. But now society was ruled by law. If you encountered such a situation, you saved them they still had a bright future.

After leaving the basement, Nangong Ruochen took out his officer ID and handed it to Yun Siying. “Siying, take my ID to the police station, find Director Liao, and explain the situation here.”

“Okay.” Yun Siying took the ID and saw a bicycle in the yard, so she rode off.

“Comrade, what can I do for you?” A young policeman looked at the beautiful female comrade in front of him, eyes full of amazement, and asked as he came to his senses.

“Excuse me, is Director Liao here? I have something urgent to discuss with him.” Yun Siying saw his hesitation and handed over the officer’s ID. “Take this and ask your Director. This person asked me to come find him.”

“Comrade, wait a moment, I’ll go right away.” After seeing the ID, the policeman became more active and strode quickly toward a room. Yun Siying realized it was always easier to get things done with someone’s help, true in any era.

Soon, a man in his thirties came out with the police, asking anxiously, “Comrade, may I ask what urgent matter Nangong Ruochen asked you to bring to me?”

“We accidentally broke into a human trafficker’s den. There are thirty people being trafficked inside. The guards were taken down by him, so he asked you to bring more people to take over.” Yun Siying glanced at the man, who stood upright and seemed to be from the army.

“Young comrade, wait a minute. I’ll go get some people and come right away. I’ll need your help to lead the way.” Director Liao was shocked but then smiled.

Director Liao was amazed when he saw this beautiful comrade for the first time. He wondered where Nangong Ruochen knew such a woman.

Yun Siying rode a bicycle in front to lead the way, followed by a military truck and several bicycles. The large group attracted the attention of passersby.

“What big case happened? The police station sent out so many people?”

“Don’t ask the police. Be careful, or you might be suspected and arrested, spending a few days in the police station.”

The questioner was frightened and shivered, saying no more, only watching where the vehicles went while lost in thought.

The police looked at the seven or eight kidnappers tied up in the yard, stepped forward to take over, and loaded the captives into the vehicle first. Upon closer inspection, they found something unusual: several people had bruised faces and broken legs. Some were even crippled. It was horrific.

The young policeman glanced secretly at Nangong Ruochen, and Director Liao looked at him too. No one expected Nangong to be so brutal, they had disrespected him.

Nangong Ruochen noticed everyone’s gaze. He kept silent and looked at Yun Siying with a hint of grievance. Yun Siying felt a bit guilty, touching her nose and looking everywhere, leaving him alone in his wounded world.

After taking the captives to the basement, the people were in poor spirits. They appeared starved, the traffickers likely starved them to prevent escape attempts.

The two then got on the military truck and went to the Public Security Bureau together. They made a report, and the matter was settled.

Li Yanyan and Shu Chengzhi returned to the Shu family. Tang Lingxue looked at her with disgust. She ordered her around all day, didn’t buy her new clothes, and didn’t even give her money to spend.

Shu Guofeng and Shu Zhisheng largely ignored her but still invited several tables of guests per the Li family’s wishes and held a very simple wedding. After the wedding, Shu Chengzhi went on a mission.

Tang Lingxue fired the housemaid, so all the housework fell on her alone. On top of that, Tang Lingxue criticized her for doing things poorly and twisted her breasts, buttocks, and inner thighs, leaving bruises.

She never imagined life would be like this. She could only lick her wounds alone at night. If only she hadn’t agreed to her parents’ plan. Yesterday, she met her brother and learned he was also suppressed by the Shu family in the army. The siblings then hated the Shu family deeply.
