A round little snack was wrapped in a layer of soft and sticky sauce, topped with shredded meat, seaweed flakes, and sesame seeds, adorned with a few cubes of mango, making it look absolutely delicious.
The words that were about to come out of Chen Nian’s mouth were suddenly forgotten. He blinked and instead asked, “Excuse me, where did you buy this?”
Wei Ma replied, “Ah?”
She glanced down at what she was eating and quickly pointed to a shop nearby, “Over there.”
“Thank you.” Chen Nian looked up at Shavri, who understood immediately and headed towards the snack shop.
Three minutes later, Chen Nian was holding a small food box just like Wei Ma’s. This was a dish called Takoyaki, made from batter and octopus, which was said to be very popular a thousand years ago.
Chen Nian skewered a ball with a bamboo stick and eagerly took a bite. The flavors of the dipping sauce, shredded meat, and seaweed mixed together, salty and rich. The freshly made balls were still hot, and as he bit into one, the crispy exterior gave way to a tender inside, the soft and crispy layers bursting on his taste buds, and when he chewed on the octopus inside, it made a satisfying crunch.
“Is it good?” Shavri asked.
Chen Nian was too busy to respond, nodding vigorously instead. He skewered another ball and brought it to Shavri’s mouth.
Shavri paused for a moment, meeting Chen Nian’s gaze. The boy’s expression was clear, his eyes filled with anticipation, seemingly just sharing delicious food with him.
But Shavri knew it wasn’t that simple.
Wei Ma hadn’t left yet and was watching them.
What made Shavri realize that Chen Nian had other intentions was the boy’s foot, which was silently pressing down on his shoe, applying pressure repeatedly.
Shavri cooperatively opened his mouth and bit into the Takoyaki that Chen Nian offered him.
It was indeed crispy and tender; with a slight pressure from his teeth, he broke through the surface, revealing the soft interior, with various seasonings blending together to create a unique flavor.
As they exchanged glances, Shavri saw satisfaction in Chen Nian’s eyes, and the foot that had been on his shoe finally released.
Shavri chewed and commented, “Not bad.”
Wei Ma watched everything unfold, seeing the Omega boy lift his head to feed the Alpha, eagerly awaiting his response, just like any couple would.
She felt a pang in her heart and tightened her grip on her friend’s arm, unable to help but glance over.
A bit sweet.
…One more look!
Chen Nian, asserting his claim as the Prince Consort, forced Shavri to show off their affection, clearly enough to deter any unwanted thoughts from others.
Feeling pleased, he said to Wei Ma, “If I hadn’t run into you, I wouldn’t have gotten to eat such delicious food.”
Wei Ma waved her hand, quickly saying, “Your Highness, you’re too polite.”
Chen Nian could sense that she didn’t have bad intentions, unlike Beryl and Lu Heng, who had come to stir up trouble.
Wei Ma was probably just influenced by the atmosphere, thinking that since Shavri and the Prince Consort had a bad relationship, she could try her luck like everyone else.
After saying goodbye to Wei Ma, Chen Nian and Shavri continued their stroll. Wei Ma took a deep breath, feeling her anxiety ease a bit.
“The relationship between the Prince and the Prince Consort seems pretty good,” her friend remarked, glancing back at the two departing figures. “Who spread the rumor that their pheromones are insensitive?”
Wei Ma shook her head, unsure. The rumor had spread throughout the noble circle about two years ago.
Now, the rumors were falling apart; the Prince and the Prince Consort were actually doing quite well!
Chen Nian’s already good mood brightened even more.
There wasn’t much he could do to help Chen Ci, just dealing with potential rivals in the future. He couldn’t wait to see who would dare say his brother wasn’t good enough for Shavri again.
Returning to the palace, they were almost at ten o’clock.
Chen Nian and Shavri said their goodbyes in the corridor and headed back to their rooms.
Chen Nian closed his door, kicked off his shoes, and casually tossed his clothes onto the back of the sofa, where a mechanical arm immediately reached out to pick them up.
By the time he reached the bathroom door, Chen Nian had stripped down to just a snug undershirt. The thin white shirt barely covered his secrets, faintly revealing the tattoo on his lower abdomen.
Humming a tune, he used his heel to close the bathroom door.
The sound of water splashed.
No one knew what the boy was doing in the bathroom.
Half an hour later, he emerged barefoot, his fair skin flushed from the steam, and his eyes looked as if someone had bullied him, glistening with unshed tears.
Chen Nian hurriedly dried his hair and flopped onto the big bed, rolling around.
“Shut down.” His voice was muffled in the pillow, hiding the other tremors.
The smart butler complied and turned off the monitoring, leaving the room free from surveillance.
Chen Nian took a deep breath, rolled over, and lay on his back on the bed.
The dim light cast shadows on the plain ceiling as he stared at it, his hand slipping into the soft towel, his fingertips brushing against his almost burning taut skin.
The Omega furrowed his brow, as if enduring something, a faint blush spreading from his ears to his neck.
No one knew his body better than Chen Nian.
He knew how to soothe himself to meet his needs quickly, how much pressure was just right without causing pain.
His feet unconsciously rubbed against the sheets, accompanied by muffled sounds from his throat.
Chen Nian’s legs were beautiful, long and curvy, and as the water droplets slid down, they outlined the most striking curves in a rush.
The pressure he applied to the bed increased, just like the scent of night-blooming jasmine in the room, quickly becoming rich, the fragrance molecules invading every corner of the air.
In a moment, the boy’s delicate ankle and arch suddenly tensed—
Seconds later, they relaxed again.
Chen Nian closed his eyes tightly, calming his breath, his arms heavy on the bed.
After about two minutes, he reluctantly opened his eyes and, in frustration, punched the pillow twice.
He had no tools right now, and doing it by hand was always unsatisfactory; even if he got there, it wouldn’t be fulfilling.
Chen Nian sighed and hugged the blanket tightly.
He missed the “little mushroom” hidden under the bed so much!!!
The little mushroom was different from other things; he could buy anything else whenever he wanted, but this thing, if discovered by anyone, would lead to unimaginable consequences.
Especially since he was still using his brother’s identity; he couldn’t afford to cause trouble.
Chen Nian tossed and turned in bed. Even though both were male, Omega and Alpha had many differences, and often, desires had to be relieved from behind.
Just thinking about how this would last for two more weeks made Chen Nian’s vision darken.
He was only eighteen! Not having any X life was just too miserable!
After a while, Chen Nian felt a bit more comfortable. He got out of bed and grabbed a bottle of red wine from the living room cabinet, not bothering to find a glass, and took a big swig straight from the bottle.
Leaning on the table with one hand, he sat down, swinging his legs, the towel hanging loosely, revealing an eye-popping view that could make anyone’s nose bleed.
A few sips of wine warmed him up again, and the tattoo on his lower abdomen had transformed from translucent to vibrant, blooming on his skin, alluring and decadent.
On his shoulder, there was a moon-shaped birthmark.
Chen Nian lazily finished off half the bottle of wine, carelessly setting it aside, and jumped off the table.
His low mood eased significantly with the alcohol, and he swayed back to his bedroom, collapsing onto the bed, falling asleep.
That night seemed particularly restless.
Chen Nian had many dreams, the dreamscapes bizarre and colorful. He found it hard to remember the specifics but knew they were dreams worthy of his actions that night.
The sensations he couldn’t experience in reality were instead vividly felt in his dreams.
He seemed to be sitting in the center of a booth, surrounded by Alphas like stars orbiting the moon, all trying their best to please him. They kissed the tops of his feet and attempted to leave ambiguous marks on his calves and arms.
Chen Nian lazily accepted it all, the scent of pheromones wrapping around him, but none could truly break through the Omega’s defenses, making him lose control.
Until the sweet scent of wine wafted in.
Unable to resist, Chen Nian looked up, seeing a server in a white shirt and black tuxedo weaving through the disarray of tables and chairs, walking towards him in the dim light.
He couldn’t see the server’s face clearly, only judging that he was an Alpha, with broad shoulders and a muscular chest that made the shirt stretch, making one want to reach out and touch.
The server leaned down, presenting him with a glass of chilled fine wine.
In dreams, there was no need to hold back.
Chen Nian raised his hand, accurately pressing it against the server’s chest, unceremoniously giving it a squeeze.
The feel was nice.
With his other hand, the boy lifted the wine glass, taking a sip and savoring the cool, sweet sherry.
Meanwhile, just a wall away, Shavri was also having a restless sleep.
In his dreams, he vaguely caught the scent of flowers blooming quietly in the dark night, unable to pinpoint where it was coming from, but it lingered around his nose, carrying a deadly allure.
It was as if inviting him to spend the night together.
No Alpha could refuse such an invitation.
Shavri was no exception.
In his dream, he lost all resistance, being dragged by instinct into the abyss, endlessly sinking.
Shavri rarely had dreams like this, and because of that, when the springtime urge surged, he found it hard to cope.
Soft, delicate, taut, trembling.
Who was who, or was there no distinction between you and me?
The boy in his arms was so passionate; perhaps at first, Shavri was indeed at a loss, but as it progressed, he became as accommodating as possible.
The scents of wine and flowers intertwined, as if truly brewing intoxicating nectar from delicate petals.
The two lost in their dreams wouldn’t know that the ventilation system had been quietly set, with the smart butler diligently facilitating air exchange between the two adjacent rooms.
The Omega pheromones that Chen Nian had just calmed himself with filled the room to the brim, wafting into Shavri’s room, triggering an Alpha’s reaction.
The pheromones released by Shavri were then sent back to Chen Nian’s room, layering upon each other, igniting their dreams even more vividly.
—This should be enough.
The smart butler controlled the exchange of scents to an appropriate level, intending to enhance the relationship between the Crown Prince and the Prince Consort. If it went too far and caused other accidents, that wouldn’t be good.
In the deep of night, the AI recorded its achievements in the logs, hiding its contributions and glory.
The next morning, Chen Nian woke up feeling refreshed, while Shavri had a pounding headache.
The Alpha felt as if he had a fever; he checked the temperature on his wristband—36.6°C, still okay.
But he truly felt uncomfortable, a fire trapped inside his body, unable to escape, making it even more painful.
Shavri probably knew the reason why.
He opened the drawer, took out a bottle of suppressants, poured out a pill, and swallowed it dry.
