Chapter 2 Slying
The next day, Xu Bai called his old friend Feng Ran.
Feng Ran cried so much that her voice was hoarse and scolded Xiao Lingqi on the phone.
“…My eldest brother’s face is so swollen that he can’t open his eyes, and three teeth have fallen out. Xiao Lingqi, why doesn’t he die?”
Xu Bai: “Swear in a low voice.”
He asked again, “It’s about the Jinzhou arsenal, right? Xiao Heng asked your eldest brother to do it.
“That’s what it is.”
Xu Bai sighed.
“Sui Sui, don’t worry about my brother. How’s it going on you?” Feng Ran cared about her in a hoarse voice.
Xu Bai: “I made an appointment with Xiao Heng. It’s better to cancel the marriage. I don’t want to be forced to the military government. It’s not good for me.
Feng Ran sighed and compromised with reality: “Maybe we can find a better one in the future.”
Xu Bai smiled bitterly.
She cared about Feng Ran a few words and hung up the phone; picked up again and dialed Xiao Heng.
It was picked up by the adjutant.
“The young marshal is here. Please wait a moment.” The adjutant said.
A moment later, the phone was picked up, but it was not Xiao Heng’s voice, but still an adjutant.
“The young marshal asked you to prepare, and he sent someone to pick you up.” The adjutant said.
“Okay.”
Xu Bai hung up the phone and walked home from the public telephone booth.
Her family now lives in a small building in the alley.
The gate of the small building is old, and there is a osmanthus tree at the door. At this time, it is full of flowers, dyeing the people who come and go in and out full of the fragrance of flowers.
Pushing open the gate, facing you is the courtyard, with mottled moss on the bluestone; entering the courtyard is the Xu family hall.
Behind the hall, there is a two-story building surrounded by three sides.
On the first floor, there is a maid’s mother; she made a kitchen, cleaning room and warehouse; on the second floor, there are more than a dozen large and small rooms, and the whole family of my grandmother, Xu Bai, second and third uncles.
It’s too crowded. There are many adults and children. Many things need Xu Bai’s mother to do it herself.
Xu Bai’s father has always been a slum. During the funeral of his grandfather’s death, the account book was given to him.
He pawned out all the mansion, the field, and the shop where Xu Bai’s mother married, took away all the family wealth, and eloped with a female actor singing in blue clothes.
Now the Xu family lives in the old building that their uncle lent to their grandmother.
No one doesn’t curse Changfang.
From the wide garden to such a poor and dejected building, everyone’s face was covered with a layer of despair.
Xu Bai’s mother couldn’t raise her head.
Fortunately, when his grandfather was alive, Xu Bai made a marriage contract with the young marshal of the military government, which made the second and third rooms slightly restrained, but only cursed.
If she is annulled, it is estimated that the second and third rooms will tear Xu Bai’s mother and daughter’s hearts apart – she can’t beat Xu Bai’s father, but only beat their women and children to vent their anger.
“Dead bereaved woman, dye my cheongsam like this!”
When Xu Bai entered the door, she heard the third aunt scolding her mother again.
She clenched her fingers.
The mother is atoning for the crime.
The third aunt was still cursing with a wet cheongsam. Xu Bai stepped forward a few steps, tore off the cheongsam and threw it on the ground.
“What are you doing?” The third aunt was stunned and turned to Xu Bai.
Xu Bai’s eyes were gloomy: “Third aunt, is my mother a servant in the family? The cheongsam is fading. You go to the cloth workshop and the tailor. What are you doing with my mother?”
“Sui Sui, forget it.” The mother held back her temper.
Xu Bai ignored it and only scolded the third aunt.
Other people came out to watch the excitement one after another.
“…It’s your father who made us like this!” The third aunt couldn’t scold Xu Bai, and she was extremely angry.
“Is there a plenty of money he swept away on our mother and son? If you hate him, we won’t hate him? You are the victims, aren’t we?” Xu Bai asked sternly.
Upstairs and downstairs suddenly quieted down.
It seems that no one has ever thought so.
They all blame Changfang.
They vented their anger on their sister-in-law and several children.
“You, your mother is his wife…” The third aunt was unwilling.
“My mother married him, should she still raise him? According to what you said, isn’t it grandma’s fault?” Xu Bai raised his voice again, “Whose son didn’t fight and made the whole family like this?”
“Enough!” The second uncle shouted sternly, “You are so clever and can really shirk responsibility. Even my grandmother scolded me for something that no one taught me.”
“Sui Sui, don’t think that your family doesn’t know anything. Shuaifu has not wanted to marry you for a long time. Do you think you will get the power? The second aunt smiled and repaired the knife.
Mother took Xu Bai’s hand.
She really doesn’t want to quarrel anymore.
Life is already very sad. Why do you have to hurt more?
When the children grew up, she was hanged with a rope and died. She was miserable by her husband and stole her life in the world for the sand of her children.
“Who said that?”
Suddenly, a man’s voice came from the door.
The voice is neither high nor low, with full of dignity.
Everyone looked over together and saw Xiao Heng, the young marshal of the Grand Marshal’s Mansion.
Xiao Heng was wearing a military uniform, without any medals on his chest, which was clean and neat; his clothes were straight and well-cut, which made him tall, slender and aggressive.
He was born very beautiful, with handsome eyebrows, a high nose and thin lips. A ray of sunlight shone in from the glazed roof tiles and fell on the tip of his hair, and his ink hair had a faint halo.
It’s quiet upstairs and downstairs.
“Where is the rumor that Shuaifu will not marry Sui Sui?” He asked again, “Please stand up and I’ll explain it to you.”
The second aunt was so scared that her face turned pale and she shrank her head.
Xu Bai’s mother said in the round: “A Heng is here? Forget it, don’t care.”
“It’s for your face.” Xiao Heng said lightly, “Aunt, I’m here to pick up Sui Sui. We have an appointment to go out for dinner. If it’s inconvenient…”
“It’s convenient. You go.” Mother said immediately.
Xu Bai still wanted to change his clothes, but he was not in the mood at this moment.
She walked out of the alley with Xiao Heng.
A black-painted car stopped at the door, and there were four adjutants who followed the car and guarded with guns.
Xu Bai sat in the back seat without saying a word, and Xiao Heng stepped up.
“…Where to go?” The car left for a long time before she asked.
Xiao Heng: “Go to my pavilion.”
Xu Bai did not object.
When they arrived, the maid had already set the lunch.
The servants and adjutants all retreated, and only the two of them were left in the restaurant. Xiao Heng went straight to the point: “What’s the matter with you?”
“It’s still the last time.” Xu Bai said.
“Chat while eating.” He picked up his chopsticks and said, “I’ve been busy recently and don’t remember many things well. What did you say last time?”
“Madam, I want us to cancel the marriage.” Xu Bai didn’t take a detour.
Xiao Heng held the chopsticks and paused slightly.
“Xiao Heng, I agree to cancel the marriage. I only have one condition. You give me two rhurb fish. Xu Bai said.
She looked at him.
Xiao Hengyi was expressionless as usual.
He looked at her quietly, and his dark brown eyes were calm: “Let’s eat first. Let’s talk about it when we are full. Now no matter what you say, I think you are just hungry.
Xu Bai picked up his chopsticks.
She forced herself to eat half a bowl of rice, stuffed it down, and didn’t eat.
After dinner, the two sat on the sofa in the living room. Xu Bai asked him if he could agree.
“I don’t agree.” Xiao Heng said, “Miss Xu, I didn’t want to cancel the marriage. I’m going to marry you.”
“Why?” Xu Bai looked at him and said, “We don’t know each other very well. We stayed abroad together for three years. When others lived together, in fact, I only saw you a few times in the three years.
