Chapter 19: She Likes Jin Zhuo Too
“Yingying, quickly check if my wig fell off…” Yu Zhizhi took off her hat and whispered to the girl beside her.
Qin Yingxia glanced at Yu Zhizhi’s high crown, “No, it’s perfect!”
“That’s good,” Yu Zhizhi leaned on her for support, “Then I can safely faint…”
“Hey?!” Qin Yingxia felt the sudden weight, a little confused.
Wait, she really fainted?
“Zhizhi, I know you’re dizzy, but don’t faint now…”
Yu Zhizhi’s eyes were sore from the sun, “…I’ll pretend to faint so you can walk slowly past Jin Zhuo’s team and get a good look at your crush.”
Qin Yingxia suddenly understood, “You’re a good person.”
“Of course!”
Sure enough, Jin Zhuo noticed the little girl holding Yu Zhizhi, moving with difficulty on the playground, and couldn’t help but smile.
Qin Yingxia raised her hat brim, looking at Jin Zhuo through the crowd.
She smiled sweetly after being noticed.
The instructor in Jin Zhuo’s team seemed particularly humorous. Hearing the rustling sounds from the team, he turned around and saw Qin Yingxia and the other girl, suddenly getting an idea, “I said, what’s all the commotion? Turns out you saw two little fairies passing by!”
“Beautiful, right? Why don’t you go over and take a closer look?”
“Look at you guys, so hopeless…”
“We have plenty of fairies in our formation too!”
Several people from Jin Zhuo’s dorm were assigned to this team. Hearing the instructor say this, Xie Chi couldn’t help but tease him, “Hey, Zhuo Ge, the instructor is talking about you, right?”
“Did I tell you to move? What’s your name?” The instructor came up behind Xie Chi at some point, and his reprimand made Xie Chi’s ears ring.
“Instructor, my name is Xie Chi.”
“Report before speaking, how many times have I told you?” The instructor stepped aside and ordered, “Fifty squats and stand up.”
Xie Chi complained, “Report, instructor, I need supplements…”
The moment Yu Zhizhi stepped into the infirmary, she instantly came back to life, and the person who came back to life with her was Qin Yingxia.
The two girls lay down on the long bench together, like wilted flowers.
“Feels like my body is cold…” Yu Zhizhi sighed.
The doctor was used to it, letting them lie down, kindly reminding, “Keep an eye on the time, if you don’t return to your team after an hour and report your situation to the instructor, you will be punished…”
Qin Yingxia replied, “Okay, I’ll go soon.”
She was the one who brought Yu Zhizhi to the infirmary and got a free ride.
After enjoying an hour of air conditioning, they had to return to their team.
“It’s so hot, it’s normal for you to faint with your small frame, why don’t you stay here, darling?” Yu Zhizhi held her hand, pouting playfully.
“I can’t faint on the way to send you to the infirmary, can I?” Qin Yingxia laughed, sighing comfortably, “I’m super satisfied with being able to rest for an hour.”
“We’ll see, if it doesn’t work, we’ll die halfway.” Yu Zhizhi yawned, “My eyes hurt, I need to close my eyes for a while.”
Her voice gradually softened, perhaps infected by her sleepiness, Qin Yingxia also yawned.
Soon, they both fell asleep.
When she woke up, she found the sky had fallen.
“Oh no, oh no.” Qin Yingxia woke up in a fright, looked at the clock on the wall, thankfully it hadn’t been an hour yet.
She breathed a sigh of relief, grabbed her hat and put it back on, turning around she bumped into Jin Zhuo who had just entered.
“Did you get heatstroke?” Jin Zhuo asked her, the worry in his eyes was undisguised.
Qin Yingxia shook her head, “I brought my roommate here, why are you in the infirmary, are you dizzy?”
“I came to see someone.” Jin Zhuo explained simply.
Qin Yingxia only then noticed that Yang Dai was following behind him, her face pale.
“Senior Yang?”
…
Yang Dai fainted while marching in formation. She fell behind the group, and only collapsed when Jin Zhuo passed by her.
Out of courtesy, Jin Zhuo reached out to help her.
“Thank you… President.”
Jin Zhuo nodded slightly in response.
Yang Dai pursed her lips tightly and raised her hand to report, “Report to the instructor, I’m feeling unwell and want to go to the infirmary.”
The instructor saw her pale face, “Okay, find someone to accompany you, and report back immediately if there are any changes.”
Yang Dai nodded and turned to Jin Zhuo, “President, would you mind accompanying me?”
Jin Zhuo looked up, scanning through several formations to find Qin Yingxia’s, but couldn’t find her. He guessed that she was still in the infirmary and hadn’t returned to the formation.
Thinking of this, he finally agreed, “Hmm.”
On the way to the infirmary, Yang Dai kept leaning towards Jin Zhuo, but he kept dodging her.
Fearing that she might offend Jin Zhuo, she explained with red eyes, “Sorry, I’m feeling very dizzy and weak.”
Jin Zhuo looked at her deeply, his brows slightly furrowed, “We’re almost there, hang in there.”
Yang Dai felt wronged in her heart. If it were Qin Yingxia, would Jin Zhuo’s attitude be so cold…?
“Go see a doctor?” Jin Zhuo turned to Yang Dai.
Yang Dai’s complexion wasn’t good, especially after seeing Qin Yingxia in the infirmary.
Her voice was weak, truly appearing extremely weak, “President… I…”
“What?” Jin Zhuo’s patience was wearing thin.
Yang Dai wanted to repeat her trick in front of Qin Yingxia. Her legs gave way and she collapsed.
As she was firmly held, Yang Dai’s heart was filled with elation, “Thank you, Jin…”
“Senior Yang, are you alright?”
A soft female voice interrupted her.
Yang Dai opened her eyes and found that the person holding her was actually Qin Yingxia!
She desperately searched for Jin Zhuo, only to find that he had already stepped back and stood beside Qin Yingxia.
Qin Yingxia also noticed Yang Dai’s gaze towards Jin Zhuo, and her previous doubts were cleared.
“Doctor, someone fainted.” Jin Zhuo calmly called for the doctor.
Soon, Yang Dai was taken away by the medical staff.
After they left, Jin Zhuo waved his hand in front of Qin Yingxia’s eyes, “Why aren’t you talking? Were you scared by her falling like that?”
Qin Yingxia retracted her gaze, lightly licked her lips, and her tone was more certain, “I wasn’t scared, I just suddenly figured out some things.”
It turned out that the reason Yang Dai disliked her was because she saw her as a rival in love.
Both Yang Dai and she liked Jin Zhuo.
But she didn’t understand why Yang Dai’s malice towards her started from the first day of school. At that time, she wasn’t as close to Jin Zhuo as she was now.
“Should we return to the formation?” Jin Zhuo asked her.
“Yeah, we’ve been out for almost an hour.”
He leaned slightly, asking her, “Are you sure you didn’t get heatstroke? Can you handle it?”
Qin Yingxia: “I’m okay, there’s still over an hour left before training ends…”
“Okay,” Jin Zhuo chuckled softly, “Let’s go, we’ll return to the formation together.”
“We still don’t know what happened to Senior Yang, your instructor should have asked you to stay and check on her before reporting back, right?”
Jin Zhuo leaned lazily against the wall, looking towards the treatment room.
Just then, the doctor came out to inform them, “Don’t worry, she just got heatstroke, nothing serious.”
“Now we can return to the formation together, Junior Sister Qin…”
Only then did Qin Yingxia feel reassured and leave the infirmary with Jin Zhuo.
