Villainess Supporting Role, Stand Up! [Quick Transmigration]: Chapter 10-1

Su Qin found her way to Li Yang’s office once again.

Recently, she couldn’t tell if it was just her imagination, but Li Yang seemed much colder to her than before. No, to be precise, he seemed indifferent to everyone; it was just that he had suddenly taken an interest in that Su Wan.

This triggered a strong sense of crisis in Su Qin.

Li Yang’s affection had always been shallow and fleeting, even in his youth.

Since he and Su Wan got engaged, he had become increasingly aloof and cold, especially toward Su Wan, almost as if she were an enemy; his face showed only disdain.

But he still agreed to it.

By marrying Su Wan, his career could gain the support of Su Xiaoqing. Now, wasn’t it true? With the title of the Su family’s son-in-law, Li Yang, at just thirty, had already begun building his own business empire.

Li Yang sat in his chair, legs crossed, calmly looking over some documents.

Without lifting his head, he asked, “What is it?”

Su Qin pursed her lips, walked forward, and said, “Have you been busy lately? You seem quite worn out.”

Li Yang’s gaze was downcast, his messy short hair covering his forehead and the dark circles under his eyes.

He let out a slight hum.

“If it’s just a greeting, there’s no need.”

“…”

Su Qin softened her tone, sitting carefully beside him, and asked, “Was what Su Wan said the other day… true?”

Li Yang’s hand, holding a pen, paused slightly.

“What?”

“Are you really getting divorced? Is she willing to sign the divorce agreement?”

Su Qin didn’t know that it wasn’t Su Wan who was unwilling to sign, but rather Li Yang who refused to sign the divorce agreement. His expression stiffened as he stared at the document before him. After a moment, he finally said, “Is that what you hope for?”

If he had to choose between Su Wan and Su Qin, it should have been an easy decision.

Even Li Yang didn’t know why he was hesitating now.

One was reckless and rude, the other gentle and attentive—only a fool would go back to Su Wan. This was the freedom he’d longed for, though it hadn’t turned out as he’d imagined—

In his mind, he would ruin Su Xiaoqing financially, leave Su Wan with nowhere to turn, and strip her of the courage to stand up for herself again.

Then, her alluring eyes would only look at him with pleading, asking him not to leave.

“Li Yang…”

“Li Yang?”

He snapped out of his thoughts and saw Su Qin sitting beside him, staring at him with a complex expression.

She asked, “What were you thinking about?”

Li Yang was silent for a moment.

“Nothing.”

Su Qin felt his mood was somehow off, though she couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was wrong. Her sense of crisis told her it would be better to change the topic.

She asked, “My birthday is coming up soon. My dad plans to host a banquet to celebrate. You’ll come, right?”

Li Yang hesitated slightly and then nodded. “Alright.”

Su Wan would probably attend that day too. He wanted to see how she, who had been avoiding him in private, could possibly escape then.

It was only natural, Li Yang thought.

On the other side.

Su Wan was having dinner with her mother. Her current acting project was wrapping up, and her mother, with a smile, poured her some champagne to celebrate her first real job coming to an end.

Su Wan felt a bit embarrassed.
