She wanted this, and she wanted that too.
Such a greedy woman—does she even consider if she’s worthy?
Su Qin, panicked, hurriedly interrupted Su Wan, “Sister, perhaps you misunderstood me. That’s not what I meant! I…”
“It’s fine, I understand,” Su Wan replied with a kind smile. “It’s normal for girls to like these little things. I’ve barely used them, so don’t feel like you’re taking anything shabby.”
To throw them away or sell them would look ungrateful, so Su Wan figured this was the perfect opportunity to give them to Su Qin, saving herself unnecessary costs.
Whether Su Qin was happy or not, Su Wan was fully satisfied.
“Oh, right, the last gift—I’m sure you’ll like it.”
Su Qin’s face turned both anxious and embarrassed. “Perhaps… let’s skip it…”
But the server was quick to unwrap the gift, and the guests were eagerly awaiting the drama. By now, everyone had forgotten it was Su Qin’s birthday—they were all too entertained by watching Su Wan take down this “white lotus.”
The last gift, placed at the very bottom, was thin and paper-like, sparking everyone’s curiosity.
Was it property? A contract?
What else could Su Qin have asked for?
Su Wan handed her the document.
The first line, written in large bold letters, shocked the nearby guests who could see it clearly. They collectively gasped.
It was a divorce agreement!
Su Wan’s father and Li Yang both turned pale, Li Yang looking particularly thunderstruck.
How dare she?!
“You and I, after all, have a lot in common.
“What I like, you like too. Since we share such similar interests, as your elder sister, I should let you have them.”
“Today, I’m giving you the divorce agreement. Now, you and Li Yang don’t have to sneak around anymore, and you’ll never be separated because of me again.”
Everyone knew how long Su Wan had loved Li Yang; anyone with any familiarity with the Su family was aware of it.
Now, standing here with a calm and composed expression as if she had let go of everything, she only invoked sympathy in their hearts.
How much suffering did she endure to be forced into such resignation?
The man she’d loved for years and her father’s favored illegitimate daughter were together, and she was left to act as though she hadn’t noticed. Rumors painted Su Wan as irritable and venomous, but if that were truly the case, would Su Qin have dared to seduce her brother-in-law? Su Wan would’ve made her pay dearly.
Now, standing amid the whispers, Su Wan looked at Su Qin and, behind her, Li Yang, with a faint smile.
“My final gift is to grant you two what you want.”
