Su Wan rested at home for two days, finally feeling refreshed before she leisurely put on her school uniform and headed to school.
Shen Tingyan had already left early, leaving Su Wan alone. She didn’t feel like walking, so she took a private car right to the school gate.
The original Su Wan had been quite ostentatious; even if she changed her ways, people would still remember her past.
So why bother?
Groups of students walked through the school gate, and a few noticed the private car pulling up. They turned to see a figure step out. Her black hair fell over her shoulders, her face pale but delicate, and she lazily slung her backpack over her shoulder as she walked in, ignoring everyone around her.
“That girl’s so pretty!”
“Who is she? I’ve never seen her before.”
“Isn’t that Su Wan…?”
“Holy—yeah, that’s Su Wan! She’s all over the forums now.”
Since Su Wan’s arrival at this school, rumors about her hadn’t stopped. This new look inexplicably gained her a following of fans for her appearance, and the school’s online forum had a dedicated thread filled with candid photos of her.
Front, side, back—no matter the angle, she looked fresh and pretty.
Of course, they were only fans of her looks. Her personality was notorious, and most people didn’t actually like her.
So under the posts in that thread, comments were mixed, with a few hateful remarks from anonymous accounts as well.
Su Wan, unaware of all this, slung her backpack and met the curious gazes around her calmly.
Returning to her classroom, she saw a few students lingering around her desk, some with dyed hair or piercings, and none in school uniforms.
Chang Xiaozhen and her friends were gathered by Su Wan’s desk.
Su Wan’s arrival surprised them. She stood quietly with her school uniform and backpack, looking a bit out of place among the rebellious crowd.
“Wanwan, just in time! We’ve got those two jerks right here in the class!”
“We’ve been dealing with them, but we haven’t laid a hand on them yet.”
“Just say the word, and it’s done.”
A mix of guys and girls with fierce expressions crowded around. In the back of the classroom, two students crouched under the blackboard, their heads bowed and trembling in fear. Two tall, intimidating boys stood guard beside them.
The classroom was silent, with students scattered at their desks, sitting motionless like frightened quails, too afraid to move, lest the trouble come to them.
Su Wan set down her backpack and placed it in her desk drawer, then looked over at them.
“Let them go.”
“Wh-what do you mean?”
They looked at her in disbelief.
“I said, let them go.” Su Wan pointed at the two students in the back row. “Now.”
The two boys, pale-faced, looked at her with disbelief as well. With Su Wan leading such a crowd, she had always ruled the school, making those who crossed her pay the price.
After the bucket of water had splashed her, they’d been in dread.
Who would have thought Su Wan would tell them to let them go?
The dozens of students in the classroom felt as if they were in a surreal dream.
Chang Xiaozhen was baffled. “Wanwan, what’s gotten into you? They splashed you with water and got you sick with a fever, and you’re just letting them go?”
Su Wan thought, as expected, everyone rationalized things from their own perspective.
Hadn’t she herself told them to pour the water?
In the end, it was just those two students who were unlucky.
If she said she’d changed her mind, decided not to bully people anymore, no one would believe her.
After a moment of thought, Su Wan put on a serious expression and looked at them.
“My family had a fortune teller read my fortune last time and said my luck is terrible this year—I’m at high risk of a bloody disaster, and I absolutely shouldn’t bully anyone. I didn’t believe it, and now it’s just been one thing after another.”
