Villainess Supporting Role, Stand Up! [Quick Transmigration]: Chapter 27-2

The eyes that were usually filled with mockery and sarcasm were now calm, like still water.

Su Wan gently brushed aside the stray strands of hair on his forehead.

The soft pad of her finger grazed his skin, like a cat’s paw suddenly scratching—slightly ticklish.

Shen Tingyan’s straight back stiffened for a moment.

Su Wan picked up a cotton swab, dipped it in disinfectant, and carefully wiped away the bloodstains on his brow. The disinfectant must have stung the wound, but his sharp profile didn’t show even a hint of discomfort, as though the injury wasn’t his.

His lips were pressed into a straight line.

Su Wan thought to herself, He’s still just a kid, after all.

His black hair fell loosely by his ears, and the faint scent of shampoo mixed with the light sweetness emanating from her filled the air.

Shen Tingyan, long accustomed to pain, felt the careful pressure of her touch. It was as soft and sweet as cotton candy, slowly filling the empty void within him.

But it was too light.

Not enough.

He needed much, much more to feel whole.

His gaze fell on her rosy lips, as delicate and moist as a blooming flower, as if pressing them would release nectar.

Her chin tilted upward slightly, revealing her pale, slender neck. Beneath her thin, fair skin, faint blue veins could be seen.

Fragile, delicate, and beautiful.

A sudden dryness crept into his throat, perhaps due to the heat in the room, as a restless warmth spread through his body.

He remembered the soft, weak voice she had used to call his name from the hospital bed: “Shen Tingyan…”

His breath caught, and his Adam’s apple bobbed.

Su Wan’s voice broke the strange atmosphere.

Sitting upright, she tossed the used cotton swab into the trash. “All done.”

She carefully placed a bandage on his brow. “You can take it off tomorrow.”

Su Wan waited patiently for Shen Tingyan to start picking a fight, but he remained surprisingly composed. Her words seemed to bring him back to his senses as he looked at her.

Then, with one hand on the ground, he stood up expressionlessly and left.

The door closed behind him.

Recently, everyone had noticed Su Wan’s behavior. Some said she had genuinely changed; others claimed she was just putting on an act.

In any case, gossip about Su Wan had spread like wildfire.

It was class time, and Su Wan was lazily propping her chin on her hand while reading a book. The math teacher at the podium was lecturing enthusiastically, but most of the students were dozing off.

Hardly anyone was paying attention.

The chemistry teacher wrote an equation on the blackboard and caught a glimpse of Su Wan reading. He sneered internally, disliking students who pretended to work hard.

If you know it, you know it. Pretending to have good grades while secretly copying others’ work—what a deceptive act for someone so young. What kind of person will she become in society later on?

He strongly disapproved of Su Wan’s behavior at school. Hearing that she had been asking other teachers questions lately only made him scoff.

“Did everyone understand what I just explained?”

A few scattered murmurs came from the class.

“Some students don’t even bother to look up. I guess you’ve all mastered it so well that I’m no longer needed.” He paused, then pointed in Su Wan’s direction. “Su Wan, your recent homework has been decent. Come up and solve a problem.”

Su Wan was reviewing concepts she had missed. Startled, she froze for a moment.

She had forgotten most of what the teacher had taught and was going over the basics. The current topic was completely disconnected from her understanding, so paying attention had been pointless.

She stood up slowly and said, “Teacher, I don’t know.”

The chemistry teacher’s face showed a knowing expression as he sneered, “Why don’t you use your time to actually learn something and fill that empty brain of yours? All you do is fool teachers and deceive students. You’re a bad influence on your classmates.”
