Voyeurism: A Novel
Voyeurism chapter 1

The night was thick, with moonlight flowing.

Yu Guang climbed over the wall and landed steadily on the lawn. His movements were skilled, clearly not his first time.

If any classmates had seen, they would surely be surprised. How could the gentle and obedient boy return late by climbing over the wall?

Yu Guang nonchalantly brushed off the wall dust that had accidentally stained his pants legs, then headed back to the dormitory.

He had to pass through a small grove of trees ahead, where he would usually encounter some affectionate couples at this time.

But Yu Guang was not interested in these gossips. With a blank expression, he hurriedly walked past the stone path with his head down.

However, today was different.

Perhaps the amorous couples were too intense in their rendezvous, or something else, a suppressed and unbearable moan came from the bushes, exceptionally clear in the quiet night.

Yu Guang naturally heard it too. His curled eyelashes trembled, and with no one around, he was lazy to disguise himself—the bright moonlight illuminated the expression on the boy’s face exceptionally clearly.

He always detested these things. With a mocking smile at the corner of his mouth, he sneered, then hastened his steps to leave.

But obviously, today was not suitable. Heaven was against him. His foot coincidentally stepped on a dry twig.

“Crack—” The sound was particularly harsh in the silent night.

The moaning in the forest abruptly stopped, but the faint smell of blood spread with the wind.

Yu Guang’s nose twitched, and he frowned, glancing towards the bushes covering the forest.

Through the leaves and branches, the blurry figure in the woods had a kind of inexplicable familiarity.

This familiarity made Yu Guang’s gaze linger for a moment, but he quickly withdrew it.

He didn’t know if the other party had seen the unusual expression on his face—he hated this feeling of being at a disadvantage.

He cursed inwardly several times, but he didn’t show it on his face. He quickly put on the mask of the “obedient student,” clasping the shoulder straps of his backpack with both hands, and adopted a startled and embarrassed look as if he had interrupted something.

On the deserted campus road approaching dawn, there was no one around, and the shadows on the asphalt road stretched long.

The moonlight was calm, making Yu Guang’s footsteps seem particularly clear.

“Excuse me, student?” A voice came from behind.

The familiar voice made Yu Guang’s heart skip a beat.

He recalled this voice in his mind. Deep and magnetic, with a heavy granular feeling—it couldn’t be wrong!

When the voice reached his ears, it triggered a physiological reaction engraved in his bones, boiling blood and then suddenly stagnating.

Yu Guang turned around slowly and looked up. Standing against the light in front of him was the man he had been secretly observing for more than two months—Ye Si.

The silver moonlight cast a pale light all over the man’s body, broad shoulders, narrow waist, and a tall and slender figure. Suddenly, it seemed as if a divine being had descended to the mortal world.

Yu Guang stared blankly for a while before coming back to his senses. For a moment, he regretted that he couldn’t present his best side to Ye Si. How could he be so stupid and silly now!

Yu Guang secretly moistened his dry lips, which shone with a transparent glow under the moonlight.

Then, he smiled shyly and obediently at the man.

Ye Si saw all the subtle movements of the young man, and his long phoenix eyes squinted slightly. After examining for a few seconds, he finally raised a smile.

“It’s late, you should go back soon. It’s not good to linger outside at night. Otherwise… if you encounter something scary, it won’t be good.”

The boy tightened the strap of his backpack, his vocal cords suppressing the joy, making his voice somewhat stiff.

“Ah… o-okay… I’ll go back now.”

Ye Si lightly hummed.

His gaze swept over the fair side of Yu Guang’s neck, then lingered on the fingertips wrapped in band-aids for a moment before his Adam’s apple rolled subtly.

“Go back quickly.”

“Okay.”

Yu Guang breathed a sigh of relief after turning around, but his disobedient heart was still beating wildly in his left chest, sounding like thunder drums.

The faint smell of blood lingered around his nose, and Yu Guang barely suppressed the swaying of his mind.

His nostrils twitched, whether it was his illusion or not, the faint woody scent on Ye Si seemed less pure than before, as if mixed with a subtle smell of rust—similar to the bloody smell from the small grove just now.

He suppressed the doubts in his heart.

Until he walked a distance, Yu Guang couldn’t restrain himself and cautiously turned his head to look back.

He wanted to take another look at Ye Si.

But unexpectedly, the other party didn’t leave, still standing in place, watching his back.

Their gazes met in mid-air, and Yu Guang felt as if he had been scalded, his pupils contracting slightly, and he quickly averted his eyes.

His cheeks felt a bit hot, and he took a shallow breath of cool air, then quickly walked away.

He didn’t know why he felt so palpitated.

Those narrow and sharp phoenix eyes seemed to be right in front of him, the man’s delicate yet not feminine profile appearing dangerous and charming under the moonlight.

Phew—

Indeed, it was Ye Si.
