Warm Love Reborn: The Obsessive Master Fu’s Obedient Wife Chapter 25

Chapter 25: What? That You Betrayed My Father?

The Lu family butler was also stunned: “Master Fu—”

“Fu Ciyu of Kyoto?”

The title “Master Fu” held immense authority in Kyoto.

“Hmph, let’s go, Miss Lu.”

Qing Zhou and Qingxun escorted Lu Nanzhi out of the Lu residence.

Qu Muqing returned to the Qu residence and saw Jiang Jingzhi looking distraught.

Qu Muqing calmed himself. Could it be because of Shen Man? Ciyu said Shen Man was being held by him.

“Mom?” he softly called out to Jiang Jingzhi.

“Muqing? You’re back—”

“Wanwan is in the hospital. Why didn’t you go see her?” This was also a question he asked on Wanwan’s behalf.

Jiang Jingzhi snapped out of her daze: “You and Dad were there, and Ciyu was there too. There was no need for me to go.”

“You’re Wanwan’s mother. How could you say such a thing?” Qu Muqing was clearly angry.

“I—”

“What if I told you Shen Man is dying!”

“What did you say?” Sure enough, Jiang Jingzhi’s expression changed drastically.

Qu Muqing instantly understood. He sneered: “I said Shen Man is dying.”

“What happened to her? Where is she? Why is she injured?”

Every word and sentence made Qu Muqing’s suspicion grow deeper.

He looked at her coldly, his voice sharp: “Wanwan has been in the hospital for so many days, and you haven’t said a word of concern. I only mentioned that Shen Man is dying, and you’re so worried?”

Jiang Jingzhi’s eyes were filled with panic. She hurriedly explained: “Manman is Wanwan’s good friend; I was worried—”

Qu Muqing pressed his lips tightly, and his eyes gradually turned red and sinister.

“Manman! Manman! Your daughter is Qu Wanwan, not Shen Man!” Qu Muqing angrily swept the flowers she was watering onto the ground.

Jiang Jingzhi was frightened. She had never seen her son lose his temper with her before. This was the first time.

“Jiang Jingzhi, Shen Man is your illegitimate daughter, isn’t she!” Despite his reluctance to believe it, Qu Muqing uttered the unacceptable truth.

Jiang Jingzhi froze on the spot. “Muqing—”

Qu Muqing’s gaze swept across her, his voice as cold as ice: “Three days ago, Wanwan had an accident, and I told you both. But she’s in the hospital, fighting for her life, and you didn’t even ask a single question!”

“I—”

“You and Dad are—”

“Shut up! Don’t mention me and Dad! Do you know that’s your daughter, not someone else?”

“Muqing, let me explain—”

“Explain what? That you cheated on my father?”

“That you betrayed my father?”

“That you had another child with another man?”

“Qu Muqing!” Jiang Jingzhi’s face flushed red, and she scolded sternly.

“Wanwan suspected it at the time, but I thought she was just being overly suspicious. How could my mother do such a shameless thing—”

Qu Muqing’s eyes were filled with despair, his voice hoarse: “But, you—”

“You really did—”

In the end, Qu Muqing’s eyes turned red, and he could no longer speak.

“Muqing, you can’t slander me like this!”

“Slander?”

He took a stack of photos from the car outside, walked in front of her, and threw them on the ground.

“Is this still slander? Tell me! Is this slander?” Qu Muqing’s tone was extremely cold.

He had investigated this a week ago and angrily smashed his office computer.

He hadn’t dared to make a fuss, fearing his father wouldn’t be able to handle it. But Wanwan’s accident and her lack of concern were unbearable.

Jiang Jingzhi’s pupils constricted, and her body swayed, almost falling.

“You—”

“You investigated me?” She looked at her son in disbelief.

“If I hadn’t investigated, how would I know what kind of person my mother is?” Qu Muqing sneered.

“Your father—”

“Your father knows too?”

“Do you want him to know?” Qu Muqing asked back.

“I—”

“Ms. Jiang, I hope you tell my father yourself, not through me.”

Qu Muqing glanced at her and continued: “And—”

“Divorce my father.”

Jiang Jingzhi’s eyes widened. “You want me to divorce your father—”

“It’s going to happen sooner or later. My father hates fickle women, just like my grandmother back then—”

He didn’t wait for a response, turning and leaving.

Hospital

“Master, Lu Nanzhi has been brought here.” Qingxun knocked on the ward door.

Quickly, the door opened, revealing Fu Ciyu’s cold and handsome face.

Lu Nanzhi still had feelings for Fu Ciyu, but her brother’s death at his hands left her only with hatred.

“Fu Ciyu, what do you mean?” Lu Nanzhi asked, frowning.

Fu Ciyu gently closed the ward door.

When he looked at Lu Nanzhi, his eyes were icy: “Don’t you know?”

“I don’t understand what you’re saying—”

“The antidote!” Fu Ciyu cut straight to the point.

Lu Nanzhi’s eyes shifted slightly: “What antidote?”

“Playing dumb with me? Lu Nanzhi, no one can play games with me and get away with it.”

Fu Ciyu’s voice turned cold, and his gaze toward Lu Nanzhi instantly became sharp.

Lu Nanzhi’s face darkened: “There’s no antidote.”

A hint of panic flashed in Qingxun and Qing Zhou’s eyes. No antidote?  There was no cure?

Fu Ciyu’s gaze darkened: “Tell the truth.”

“I’m telling the truth.  I want there to be no cure. You killed my brother back then, and how could I let you off?”

“Is that so?”

“Then I should wipe out the Lu family!”

“Don’t touch the Lu family!” Lu Nanzhi said urgently.

The Lu family was what she had fought for with her life, and she wouldn’t allow anyone to touch it.

“Then let’s see if you can stop me.” Fu Ciyu’s eyes were full of disdain.

“The Gu poison in your body requires special blood type H to extract it.” Lu Nanzhi reluctantly said.

“Did you go to Miaojiang?”

“Bought it from the black market—”

“Damn it—”

“Damn it, even I, Fu Ciyu, have my downfall.”

“Master Fu, I told you the antidote. Don’t touch the Lu family.”

“Let’s talk after I get the results.”

“Take Miss Lu away.”

“Yes, Master!”

Qu Wanwan in the ward nervously looked toward the door again and again.

She was afraid that Lu Nanzhi wouldn’t speak, afraid that Fu Ciyu wouldn’t find a cure.

Fu Ciyu entered and met her worried gaze.

“It’s alright.”

“I’m not at ease.”

“She initially said there was no cure, then said that blood type H was needed.”

Qu Wanwan was startled: “That type of blood is extremely rare!”

“I know. I’ve asked Yichen to arrange a search, and our people are also searching. We will find it.”

“But—” Qu Wanwan was worried.

“Don’t worry, trust me.”

Qu Wanwan could only nod; she trusted Fu Ciyu.

“Have you found out who’s behind Lu Yu?” Qu Wanwan suddenly asked.

Fu Ciyu said in a low voice: “Not yet. The enemy is hiding in the shadows, and we can’t find them for now.”

“What about luring them out?”

“Lu Yu is just a pawn. They won’t reveal their identities for a pawn.”
