As she did all of this, she did it right in front of the man. His mouth twitched. Did this girl take him for a fool?
But he didn’t ask the question out loud, for it would make him appear too rude.
However, the man understood that Wen Jiu’s attitude likely meant she wasn’t interested in him, so he led her to the bar and left.
Wen Jiu didn’t have any objections to being left there.
She smiled at the bartender and said, “I’d like to speak with the person in charge here, please.”
“Please wait,” the bartender politely smiled, not questioning whether Wen Jiu’s request was within the bar’s rules. He immediately turned to go find someone.
A few minutes later, a boy with bright red hair swaggered over, following the bartender.
At that moment, Wen Jiu was sitting on a swivel chair in front of the bar, playing with a glass of red wine.
When Qi Qin saw the carefree and lazy-looking girl in front of him, he paused his steps, yawning nonchalantly. But then his eyes widened in surprise.
Tsk… What a coincidence.
After clearly seeing Wen Jiu’s appearance, Qi Qin’s heart skipped a beat. It really was that coincidental.
He leaned against the bar, “Hey, beautiful, what can I do for you?”
“The booth by the coast—I reserved it.”
As Wen Jiu entered the bar, she realized that at the end of the cobblestone street, there was the coastline.
The spot she had chosen provided a perfect view, allowing her to take in the entire scenery of the coast.
Wen Jiu had a bit of a quirky personality—she liked to seek tranquility amidst chaos.
Qi Qin followed Wen Jiu’s gaze toward the western side of the bar, and then, with a carefree smile, he spoke:
“You’re being a bit too possessive.”
That area was the best spot in the bar. Wen Jiu wanted to monopolize it by herself. If it weren’t for her stunning looks, Qi Qin might have kicked her out.
Wen Jiu gave him a side glance. With a flick of her fingers, a card magically appeared. She casually twirled it between her fingers and with a smile, added a hint of flirtation:
“Is the money good?”
Qi Qin stared at the card in her hand, and then, his eyes narrowed in a grin: “Good!”
He took the card and handed it to the waiter behind him, before turning back to Wen Jiu: “How many seats do you need?”
“Within ten meters.”
“Deal.” Qi Qin answered decisively, giving a look, and immediately someone went to clear the table.
Not long after, a person came to lead Wen Jiu to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
After Wen Jiu sat down, the eyes in the bar once again, as if on cue, landed on her.
The soft light illuminated her fair skin, dazzling everyone who looked at her.
She seemed completely unaware of the attention she was attracting, leisurely glancing out the window at the scenery. The sea breeze fluttered her hair, creating an ethereal beauty that was breathtaking.
In no time, word spread across the bar: a stunning beauty had arrived at this unknown bar in Gangcheng.
“Qi Shao, why did you agree to that girl’s request?”
The bar didn’t lack money.
Qi Qin glanced at him, thinking of Wen Jiu scolding people at the airport, a chill running down his spine.
He responded, with a hint of implication, “I’m afraid she’ll scold me.”
“Huh?”
“Huh?!!!”
When he walked away, the waiter who asked the question only then realized what Qi Qin had said.
In Gangcheng, someone dared to scold Qi Shao?
Qi Qin didn’t care what the bar staff thought. He quickly entered the elevator, went up to the top floor, and hurried into one of the usual private rooms.
Without caring about the surprised looks of the two people inside, he mysteriously asked:
“Guess who I met downstairs?”
The person startled by his sudden entrance, Ning Wang, threw an apple from the table at him, annoyed, and cursed:
“Are you crazy? Stop jumping around!”
“Ugh!” Qi Qin quickly caught the apple, took a bite, and then continued speaking with his mouth full:
“Come on, guess. You’ll never guess.”
“Not guessing!” Ning Wang didn’t want to play this game of insulting his brain.
Helpless, Qi Qin moved closer to Jiang Yanci, who was busy tapping away on his tablet.
“Yanci Ge, do you want to guess?”
Jiang Yanci didn’t even spare him a glance. “Go away.”
“…”
Qi Qin choked up.
He took another vicious bite of the apple in his hand, then collapsed onto the couch, spreading his legs wide and sighing dramatically.
“Ugh~”
The room fell silent for a moment. Seeing that neither of the two acknowledged his thoughts, Qi Qin, feeling a little discouraged, finally muttered loudly:
“Such a big beauty waiting on the first floor, that definitely brings in customers for the bar.”
This still didn’t get Jiang Yanci’s attention. Instead, Ning Wang shot Qi Qin an irritated look.
“Say it if you’ve got something to say, or just shut up.”
“Heh…” Qi Qin snorted, though he was frustrated about holding onto this piece of information, he didn’t want to keep venting.
So, he suppressed the urge to share and laid back on the couch to rest.
The three of them had rushed back to Gangcheng overnight, barely resting before jumping into work again.
The reason Qi Qin chose to stay close to Jiang Yanci was to live a comfortable life, waiting for meals to be served, but who knew that now, his life had become more demanding than before.
He lazily yawned and, without realizing it, drifted off to sleep.
An hour later, the private room returned to silence. About half an hour after that, Ning Wang finally woke him up with a gentle tap.
“Come downstairs, let’s eat.”
“Ugh…” Qi Qin yawned, groggily following the two of them out of the room.
As soon as they stepped out of the private room, Qi Qin snapped to attention. Just as he was about to speak, he saw Jiang Yanci standing in front of them, one hand in his pocket, his gaze directed downward, his eyes half-closed as if deep in thought.
There was a faint glimmer in his eyes, but it was unclear what he was thinking.
Noticing his gaze, Qi Qin slapped his forehead. “Yanci Ge, I forgot to tell you, that girl has already booked the area.”
Their usual bar counter was within ten meters of that girl’s spot.
Ning Wang raised an eyebrow. “So that’s why you were so mysterious about her earlier?”
“Yeah.” Qi Qin smiled, his eyes squinting. “She looked even more beautiful today than yesterday.”
“Heh…” Ning Wang sneered.
She was indeed stunning. At that moment, about a third of the people in the main hall were lined up in front of her spot, and even those who weren’t in line were all focused on her.
There were even quite a few women joining the crowd.
She wasn’t picky and welcomed anyone, as long as they were willing to queue and met her standards in looks and physique. Anyone could sit opposite her and play a game with her.
The winners could get her contact details, while the losers had to take off their shirts and run a lap along the coast outside.
In the short time they stood there, two more men had already stripped off their shirts and dashed out.
For an hour, the entire coastline was filled with men flaunting their physiques.
Qi Qin, who had only just realized what was happening, exaggeratedly covered his eyes. “This girl really knows how to play.”
Qi Qin’s words were entirely complimentary.
Ning Wang chose not to comment.
However, Jiang Yanci had already casually shifted his gaze, his expression unreadable as he began walking toward the elevator.
For some reason, Qi Qin felt an inexplicable chill.
He deliberately nudged Ning Wang. “Don’t you think something’s off?”
Ning Wang distanced himself, clearly avoiding him. “You’re the one who’s off.”
They were even selling the dining spots—might as well donate their brains too.
Jiang Yanci didn’t like the smell of food in the private rooms, so that’s why they were dining on the first floor.
“Don’t be mad,” Qi Qin said, clearly understanding why Ning Wang was upset. He quickly followed after him, trying to make amends. “I’ll talk to her and see if we can borrow a table for dinner.”
“Go away!” Ning Wang snapped, not wanting to entertain this fool.
