Transmigrated as the Male Lead’s White Moonlight, What Should I Do?
What Should I Do? | Part 1 [Extra] [End] Chapter 23 – Another Little Bun Was Born

In April, the weather is warm yet still brisk with spring. The new emperor leads his troops, personally overseeing the campaign, aiming to dominate the regional lords and repel foreign tribes.

The man prefers to wear dark clothes, and his tall, upright figure is accentuated by the black, making him appear even taller and more elegantly handsome.

The palace maids stand by, lowering their gazes, occasionally glancing forward stealthily.

The new emperor is incomparably handsome, and the new empress is coolly noble, truly a match made in heaven.

Su Baiyue holds a belt in her hands, standing in front of Lu Gan. The man’s wounds have not yet fully healed, with newly scarred wounds showing a fierce presence. She is worried but tries not to show it too obviously, for fear of disturbing the morale of the troops and burdening Lu Gan.

Su Baiyue gently pulls on the man’s torn robe, straightening his clothes to cover his robust chest, then wraps the belt she was holding around his waist.

The man is very tall, and as Su Baiyue reaches up to fasten his belt, she almost buries herself in his embrace.

Lu Gan’s body carries the sweet scent of cakes, a fragrance left from his daily visits to the small kitchen to make her favorite pastries. Over the years, this scent has infused into him, and surprisingly, this manly figure exudes a sweet fragrance like that of a woman.

With the belt fastened, his broad shoulders and narrow waist accentuate his long legs, enhancing his imposing presence.

Su Baiyue purses her lips, her movements slow, almost like a snail’s pace.

“Little sister, are you done?” Liu Chen calls from outside, urging her.

Su Baiyue’s face shows even more worry. She wanted him to fight for this world for her, but now, she would rather not have this world if only he could be safe.

“Lu Gan…” she starts to say but is suddenly silenced by a small rabbit-shaped bun stuffed into her mouth, so tiny that one could eat it in one bite.

With her cheeks puffed, Su Baiyue looks at Lu Gan who hands her another rabbit bun from the plate, saying, “Whatever Lady wishes for, I will retrieve it for her.”

Su Baiyue knows that once the man has decided, no one can change his mind.

After finishing the bun in her mouth, she steps forward slightly, pressing against his chest, and coyly tilts her chin up.

Lu Gan smiles and leans down as Su Baiyue stands on her tiptoes to plant a kiss on his cheek.

“A dog in luxury must not forget,” she whispers.

The smile on the man’s face deepens. He cradles Su Baiyue’s hand in his, rubs it, then raises it to his lips and bites down hard.

“Ouch… why are you biting?” Su Baiyue quickly hides her hands behind her back.

Lu Gan grins, showing off his teeth like a wild dog. It’s the first time Su Baiyue has seen him laugh so unrestrainedly. He says, “Naturally, a dog in luxury must not forget.”

Caught in the act… Su Baiyue guiltily turns her head, rubbing her hand where a crescent mark from the bite remains.

The man fastens his belt, dons his armor, and after giving Su Baiyue a firm kiss, he turns to leave.

Su Baiyue, with flushed cheeks, gently grips the corner of the man’s wide sleeve, not pulling hard, but the reluctance in her gesture is clear.

Lu Gan pauses, turns his head to look at Su Baiyue, who has followed him a few steps, his smile fading to a gentle tone, “Lady, be sure to wait for my return.” To share our joys and sorrows.

Those unsaid words, chewed over in Lu Gan’s mouth and swallowed down, only intensify the deep luster in his eyes.

“Why do you always call me ‘Lady’?” Su Baiyue loosens her grip on his sleeve, her pale complexion turning rosy and healthy after days of nourishing meals with Lu Gan.

“I am your husband, and you are mine,” he explains, using a play on the words for ‘husband’ and ‘person’.

He is Lu Gan, one person’s husband.

Su Baiyue smiles, seeing Lu Gan staring at her. Remembering his fondness for her smile, she smiles even brighter, her lips parting slightly, her head tilted to reveal her pearly white teeth.

Lu Gan swallows, his rough palm caressing Su Baiyue’s cheek, rubbing so fiercely she almost tears up and her skin turns red. He then flings his sleeve dramatically and strides into the wind.

After five years of relentless campaigning, the emperor achieves victory after victory, aided by divine providence, almost as if he is the favored son of this universe, his halo nearly blinding Su Baiyue.

“Your Majesty, the emperor has returned,” Jing Wen bursts in breathlessly, almost tripping over herself.

Su Baiyue stands up abruptly at the sight of the man in a battle robe, dust-covered at the palace entrance.

Su Baiyue’s rabbit bun falls to the floor as she rushes over and leaps onto Lu Gan.

Lu Gan catches her smoothly and spins around.

Su Baiyue wraps her arms around Lu Gan’s neck and her legs around his waist, clinging to him like a sloth.

“Little sister, little sister…” Liu Chen rushes in, eager for a big bear hug, but the doors that were wide open are suddenly kicked shut by Lu Gan holding Su Baiyue.

Liu Chen, nearly hitting his nose, looks aggrieved, “Little sister, little sister…”

Jing Wen stands by the door, stepping forward to console, “Prince, the emperor and the empress haven’t seen each other for many years…”

“Get lost! This stinky brat sneaks back to the imperial city every few days to see his sister, sends me to guard the city, don’t think I don’t know!” Even secretly, they’ve had kids and taken a year of maternity leave! Leaving me, a lone bachelor, to fight on the battlefield, years unmarried, not even having touched a girl’s hand!

Liu Chen fumes, about to complain more when he sees a little doll toddling around the corner, immediately brightening up, eager for a hug.

“Little Baiyue, come give uncle a hug~”

The tiny three-year-old, dressed in pink and white palace attire with twin buns tied with small flowers, has a face that could have been pinched from dough. But like her father, she maintains a serious little face.

Seeing Liu Chen rushing towards her, Lu Baiyue quickly retrieves a small feather duster from behind her back and pokes it into Liu Chen’s face, successfully stopping his “rogue” behavior.

“Little Baiyue, sob sob…” Liu Chen’s nose tingles and his eyes water, and when he opens them again, he sees Lu Baiyue wriggling her chubby body through the door crack into the bedroom.

Inside, Su Baiyue is just about to show off her rabbit buns to Lu Gan, and she looks down into Lu Baiyue’s eager eyes.

Su Baiyue suddenly turns and leaps back onto Lu Gan. With her back to Lu Baiyue, she clutches the rabbit bun in her hand, eats half, and stuffs the rest into Lu Gan’s mouth.

Lu Baiyue, you’re already plump as a pig, no more for you!

Little Baiyue, looking up, drools mindlessly, pacing around Lu Gan on her short legs.

Lu Gan, holding Su Baiyue, always shields her face from Little Baiyue, naturally also hiding the rabbit bun in her hand.

“Eat, eat…” Lu Baiyue murmurs in a baby voice, anxious.

Su Baiyue feels utterly defeated by how Lu Baiyue has inherited both of her bad habits.

Waving the small feather duster fiercely, Lu Baiyue finally manages to get a rabbit bun after relentless effort.

Su Baiyue pouts in frustration. “Lu Baiyue, if you keep eating like this, you’re going to turn into a little fatty.” After saying this, she pokes Lu Baiyue’s soft cheek.

Look at this pig’s ear, it’s big and round.

Look at this pig’s tail, it’s long and thick.

Lu Baiyue, unfazed, munches away, using the feather duster to push Su Baiyue away.

The little chubby kid, about the size of the small feather duster, seems to wield it daily with a determination to poke people for fun.

Su Baiyue suddenly realizes how powerful genetics are.

“Lady seems to have gained a bit recently.” Lu Gan, holding Lu Baiyue with one arm and encircling Su Baiyue with the other, occasionally pecks at her smooth, slippery cheek.

Finally, having had enough of being indulged, Su Baiyue starts to complain about Lu Gan’s muddy state, urging him to bathe. “Go clean yourself up; you’re making me nauseous.” After saying this, she actually begins to feel queasy.

She clutches her chest, her heart pounding.

It can’t be!

Seeing the sudden change in Su Baiyue’s expression, Lu Gan immediately frowns and calls out, “Summon the royal doctor.”

The royal doctor rushes over with a medical kit, kneeling to take Su Baiyue’s pulse.

Su Baiyue lies on the couch, gingerly touching her stomach. Could it just be weight gain? But she’s supposed to have a body type that doesn’t gain weight easily!

“Congratulations, Your Majesty and Empress, it’s a joyful pulse.”

Done for, she’s actually pregnant again.

Lu Baiyue is still munching on rabbit buns, with sweet bean paste smeared all over her face and mouth. She looks puzzled at the old doctor with a white beard, then glances at her own feather duster and pokes the old man with it.

The old doctor, looking into Lu Baiyue’s innocent eyes, joyfully announces, “Congratulations, princess, you’re going to have a little brother.”

A brother, is that something edible?

With another pregnancy, Su Baiyue resumes her days of eating and drinking merrily.

Lu Gan dominates the regional lords, becoming a supreme ruler, with the land flourishing and the people worshipping. Su Baiyue’s mission is accomplished, and she can finally live out her days in peace.

“Ah… my stomach hurts…” Just after finishing a plate of rabbit buns, Su Baiyue clutches her heavily pregnant belly, her face pale with pain.

Hearing the news, Lu Gan leaves a group of court officials, skipping court.

“Lady!”

“Your Majesty, the empress is about to give birth.” Although it’s her second child, seeing Su Baiyue’s pale face, Jing Wen is still flustered and unsure of what to do.

Lu Gan embraces Su Baiyue, helping her breathe, “It’s okay, it’s okay…”

Su Baiyue grabs Lu Gan’s arm, struggling and then bites him hard, “I’m going to castrate you…”

Lu Gan, who agrees to everything Su Baiyue says, feels this matter might need more consideration.

The midwives who have been attending day and night are called in, organizing everything methodically before swarming into the bedroom.

“Quick, the empress is about to give birth, help her inside…”

The birthing room is ready, just waiting for Su Baiyue’s moment to deliver.

“No…” Su Baiyue clings to Lu Gan, refusing to let go, gasping heavily, “I want roasted lamb, beef, pork, and more rabbit buns…”

Lu Gan: …

The bedroom becomes chaotic as maids carry in roasting grills and freshly washed tender meats, along with various spices, setting up a full table.

The supreme ruler, sleeves rolled up, sweats as he roasts the meat. Little Baiyue stands by, staring blankly up, her mouth watering non-stop.

Su Baiyue, in pain on one side, chews contentedly on the roasted meat.

Delicious.
